Corporate jet tax “loophole” was part of Obama’s stimulus package

Sweet, sweet irony.

Via Newsbusters, we are reminded that the corporate jet tax “loophole” – which Obama beat like a rented mule during his press conference yesterday – was actually part of Obama’s failed “stimulus” plan.

NBC News didn’t feel this was worth mentioning to its viewers.

During Obama’s first two years in office, he enjoyed the most lopsided Congressional majority by either party in the past 60 years. The Democrats could have easily squashed tax deductions for corporate jets if they really wanted to. But they didn’t, and now Obama is using them to accuse Republicans of siding with fat cat executives, and acting as if they are a contributing factor to our massive deficits. Not even close.

Obama relies heavily on the media carrying water for him. This is a great example of them doing just that.
