via Mediaite:

Sarah and Todd Palin are being followed around by a guy at an airport who doesn’t seem to be overly friendly or forthcoming with information. He meets Sarah and Todd in the parking lot and Sarah quickly engages him. He isn’t necessarily rude when he talks to her or Todd, but it’s clear that he’s not really a fan. He seems content to just videotape hoping for a ‘moment’ that will probably earn him money or praise.

Todd, being protective, engages the guy and tries to intimidate him to move away and honestly I can’t blame him. You can say what you want about her being famous and all that, but I still feel bad for her when the haters are on the prowl. She has been relentlessly attacked by the MSM and they’ve done nothing but foment hatred against her, and thus stuff like this happens.

Even so, she never complains and just keeps shaking hands and moving through the airport. And honestly, that’s what makes her Sarah Palin and that’s just one of the reasons people love her.

Yeah, way to go Todd! It is so obvious that this creep was just hoping to get some dirt, by his very apparent unfriendly attitude.

God Bless Todd Palin! That man has amazing strength and character. For him not to punch everyone of the folks like this in the face shows amazing restraint. First you have the “writer” move in right next door and now some guy following her around the airport. Todd Palin you deserve a lot more recognition for your courageous restraint.

Exit question: If this was an innocent Alaskan videotaping SP, then how did it end up on an anti Palin website. Most people who take pics or video of well known people keep them at home…?

There is a group of left wingers in Alaska whose sole mission in life is to destroy Sarah Palin personally and professionally. Shockingly, they are all democrats and some have ties to Obama and his crew.

the guys sounds creepy, then again creeps are idiots. what’s the guys point? let me guess, how does Sarah gets on an airplane?
Why didn’t they call security on this creep?

  • KeninMontana

Of course a “Palinhater”, foolish too. I sure wouldn’t provoke Todd, which explains why the guy is shaking. Were I in Todd’s position I’d be asking the guy some fairly pointed questions as well.

I was surprised to see the two of them walking around WITHOUT security. I never would have thought anyone could get that close to her to shake her hand.

As I watched the vid I thought about how I’d feel having some creepy guy following and videoing me while I went about my personal business. Gave me a cold chill up my spine.

How come this stuff does not happen to Romney or Huckabee or Gingrich or Thune or Pawlenty? The media says they are the true threats to Obama and Palin has no chance, right? LOL

If I was airport security, I would’ve detained, or even arrested him. He’s in an airport with a video camera. In this day & age, that could be a possible sign of an individual or organization attempting to gain intelligence on the facility. He’s following around a high-profile former politician and her family and being evasive, as well as possibly deceptive. I’m sure she’s received numerous threats against her life, and against her family, and there’s a great possibility this man is up to no good, stalking them for the intent of ascertaining a pattern to their movements/schedule, for an attempt at assassination. Being an Army MP, I would take that very seriously, and show him how seriously I took that, really quickly.

Well, it was in Valdez. In Alaska people will tend to give you your space. When I lived in Juneau, the govenors manshion, right downtown had a low fence around it that you could step over. The Gov. at that time, Tony Knowles, could be seen walking his dog in the neighborhood. No big deal.

Oh, I have a friend who has lived in Valdez for at least 25 years. I sent her a link to the video and have asked her to see if she can identify this clown. If he owns a business in Valdez he should be easy to identify. And if he has one of the pain in the ass, totally off the left wall liberals you occasionally find in Alaska, he will be especially easy to find.

This guy is a sociopath. Holy hell. Fruitcake has probably duct taped his penis to his brown eye and put lipstick on his balls.

Something that really bothers me is the idea that because someone has become famous they are now open to any level of exposure, stalking, or prying into their personal life simply for the reason that they are famous. With many, human decency ceases to exist around those who are famous, replaced with rationalization that “if they didn’t want this sort of attention, they ought never to have stepped into the public light, its just the price for their fame.”
It is a given that to some extent fame will take away some level of privacy, especially if you’re running for a high political office, but it is never an excuse to push that beyond what is humanly decent. No one wants to be stalked, to have cameras constantly flashing in their face 24/7, people going through their garbage, everyone searching and grasping for some tiny revelation that will win them their pulitzer, 15 minutes of fame, or other gratification. It is unfortunate that there are too many people who do not possess a high standard for decency and respect when considering the lives of others. Or much of any standard, really.

I think you’re right. Personally, I believe they are afraid of her. Same with Glenn Beck. It does seem apparent.

  • True Conservative

This was obviously a staged event by the media whore Sarah Palin. She betrayed the conservative party when she endorsed LIBERAL John McCain. Her 15 minutes of fame were up long ago, so she has to manufacture events. Liberals do not need to fear her or the other phoney conservative Glenn Beck. They are just a pair of con artists.

The website listed at the end of the video was, shocker alert, an anti-Palin site. But what I found interesting was how much “documentation” and “proof” of Hawke’s story was included. In FIVE updates. All totally natural.

And the bit about “he saw a famous person so he pulled out his video camera”? That made complete sense. I ALWAYS carry a video camera when I take my wife to the airport. Uh huh, riiight…

Check out the screen caps (way down in the source blog’s post) of Todd’s aggressive and intimidating confrontation. in most of them he was practically smiling.

Nothing worse than a douch bag lefty like that following you around. Leave her alone.
