Wow. In what I can only describe as angelic, this eight year old little girl sings the national anthem and despite her mic cutting off, the crowd helps her finish.

This is one amazing little girl.

Thanks. After nearly a week of hearing the worst in Americans, I needed that.

As I wrote on my page when I posted this earlier today…

“Damn the Darkness… Americans ARE STANDING!”

I literally stood, clapped and cheered the first time I watched it.

…the second viewing brought forth an unbidden, and unashamed sob from the deep of me.

The girl really isn’t the story. An amazing voice, yes. But it’s the crowd that made me cry.

    That’s the real America.

I have very mixed feelings about this one.

    1. The woman who laughed. Enough said.
    2. I am from Virginia and I hate how a loud vocal few only chant the OOOOh. I feel that is highly disrespectful.

On the plus side it sounds like the vast majority of the crowd was part of the good guys, and they make me proud to call myself an American.

The woman laughing irked me too. I hope she hears this and feels like a fool.

the little girl had an amazing voice, and it was sweet to see the crowd help out the little girl and start singing, and even though she couldn’t be heard she was still bellowing out the anthem in the dead mic, nice video.

Doesn’t this kind of thing give you heart warms? Me too.

It taps my soul on the shoulder and whispers, “that’s beauty right there”.

I can’t get enough of this video. What an amazing little girl. Not only does she have a beautiful voice, but she showed real poise when the mic cut out. A lot of kids her age would have crumbled into tears. The remarks at You Tube say she was invited back. I’ll be checking to hear her finish the high note.

Someone needs to get this angel and Jackie Evancho together. What a duo that would be
