First of all America was founded on slavery and racism and that has never ended. Secondly racism is word and ideology made by Europeans to devide people for the sole purpose of controlling them. If America is not a racist nation then why dose every application ask for a person's race? Third black people cannot be racist. Nothing anyone of any other nation can do that could ever equal the death and caos that Europeans and thier decendants have caused on the world. Most every law and instatution in American was formed to keep people of African decent under control and to ensure they will not over come thier Anglo counter parts. Danny Glover is becoming an old man and he knows that it is his duty as a public figure to speak the truth......
Twenty years ago this fool made some inflammatory remarks against the U.S while in Belgium. It nearly cost him his career. Guess he that his career needed a little ending title.

I'm sorry but the assertion is largely correct. The second amendment was created to preserve militias.
The 2nd amendment wasn't written to protect guns. In a nation with a 2000 mile long frontier exposed to wilderness and hostile Indians, the idea of taking guns away from individuals was ludicrous. I guy living on the frontier was not worried about the government taking his gun. Furthermore, he had little influence on the framers of the constitution. Keep in mind, the 2nd Amendment was written by Madison.
The wording of the amendment is the tell. It uses an anachronistic term "militia". In the south, militia was a polite term for slave patrols. In many areas of the south, blacks outnumbered whites. At the time that the Amendment was being crafted and ratified, a slave uprising in Haiti resulted in the pillage, rape and death of 4,000 whites. Hundreds of slave rebelions occurred every year. The only way a minority could enslave a majority was through well organized "militia" with superior fire power over the rebelling slaves. The system was developed. Around the time of the framing of the constitution, ever white male that owned a weapon in the deep south was, by default, a member of his state's militia - and subject to regulation which really meant organization and coordination.
The fact is, slavery can only exist in a police state. The militias were the means by which Southern whites were able to maintain mastery over the slaves.
The issue comes up in the ratification of the constitution in the south. Quite simply, Southern whites would not join the Union without safeguards to their property and safeguards from their property. The constitution placed a national army in the hands of a federal government. Southerners were concerned that the national army would usurp or diminish the role of the militias. The second amendment then endows a state with a right to a militia. The right to keep and bear arms being the bedrock linchpin for manning the militia.
The importance of militias to slavery is demonstrated by the decline of militia's after the civil war, ultimately replaced by the National Guard - and thus being subsumed by Federal control. No one protested, because without slavery militia's were no longer imperative.
The collateral effect of anti-slave militia's would be most interesting to investigate.
1) The early military success of the south during the Civil War...
...might have been the result of experience in soldiering by officers and soldiers in militias, as well as experience engaged in action using guns in violent scenarios. The early northern counterparts had no experience at all to this compared to his southern counter part. Furthermore, the officers and soldiers with the most experience were also the most successful - Grant had served with Lee in Mexican War. Finally the importance of militia's might explain the heavy militarization of Southern society: the existence of major military academies there (Verginia Military Academy [VMI], the Citadel in South Caroline]) might have been impelled by the need for well organized militias; the use of Military titles as badges of honor for prominent citizens perhaps stemming from their positions in a state militia - only in a Southern state, such as Kentucky, does a chicken cook carry the title of Colonel, and never is he seen in a military uniform.
2) The Klu Klux Klan...
... the creation of the KKK may have been facilitated by earlier organization in Militia's. Essentially the Militia's were state sponsored and organized. After the war, the KKK would be an achronistic organization - a sort of manifestation of a zombie militia.
3) Wild West Violence...
...after the war, with the economy in ruins, many young southerners, accustomed to voilence and no jobs, may have wondered out into the wild west.
4) The extremist fixation to guns as a form of bully/chauvinism (weaing guns in public) might be a legacy of or the social inherentence of the Militia past for many in Southern states.
Gun regulation does not mean no more guns. Indeed, the term regulation is built right into the 2nd amendment. In theory, if you buy a gun, your are automatically enlisted in your state's militia, and are therefore subject to regulation. In fact the regulation of pre-civil war militias was very strenuous and demanding of white males who owned guns. That means the state could demand you attend intense and prolonged training for the use of your gun.
Danny needs to stick to what he does best...acting. What a misguided fool who is a prisoner in his own self-created plantation.
Sad thing is that people will believe this garbage and it's unfortunate that our party leaders allow this to happen. I really hope things turn around, but I am starting to feel that the only way we can reverse what has happened is to form a new political party.
Mr. Glover, with all due respect, the 2nd ammendment was designed for the people to have the ability to rise up against government tyranny. It's written as such in the constitution, if your would only take the time to read it and stop the race baiting. It was the Republicans who rose up against slavery and fought for their freedom back then so please quit trying to rewrite history by spreading rumors that will only continue the deep divides in this country. It is not only irresponsible of you, but if you help Obama ingnite this any further, possibly criminal of you for insighting riots.

How does he not see his own hypocrisy in his "sell-out" attitude and actions, based on facts and truth.
This is of course something Black Democrats refuse to acknowledge, let alone ignorant of.
Again, this is the power of indoctrination, as now the Democratic Party and it's liberal progressive marxists like Danny Glover, is the party of anti-American Socialist Marxism, which seeks the internal destruction of America the US Constitution, Democracy, Individual Freedom, and Liberty- thus they are the enemies from within, which they are anti-semtic, anti-Israeli, and is why they align and ally themselves with islamist extremists.
Of course, agents of evil never see themselves as such, which is why ours is not to reason, and appease them, ours is only to defeat them.. Well, there sure was a lot of babbling going on here - my racism caused everything from the OWS movement (a re-imagining of Democracy?) to Global warming (I assume the whiter our nation is, the more the Sun's rays are reflected to the clouds, causing a greenhouse affect, I guess - or something). Scoop, Danny Glover is actually a black man. He wakes up every day as a black man and when he is out on the streets of the USA, everyone can see that he is a black man.

It`s hard to agree with someone who proposes weak assumptions. Slavery was not the only issue which instigated the Civil War. You don`t have to be black to be a slave, and you don`t have to be white to be a redneck. Liberty Lovers come in ALL colors, and so do criminals.
