Ben Carson is a Doctor. Someone who heals people and saves lives, because he spent all those years in Medical School, to learn how to do just that. He is not a politician.
He is just speaking out, as an American. Don't put an additional burden on a man who is already busy. He is already doing his life's work.
Give him the space to express himself about what Obama has done. Appreciate him for doing that.
Cruz/Carson 2016? Rubio is a RINO. I still like Rand Paul. IF we run Cruz or Paul in 2016 then we need to start looking for good replacements for the Senate. Anyone in Texas or Kentucky qualify?
From Daily Caller, Ted the Cruz Missile is heading to OH tomorrow....DC hints at possible presidential run. That would be awesome against Rubio! http://dailycaller.com/2013/02/20/sen-ted-cruz-heads-to-ohio-ahead-of-possible-presidential-run/
Great interview. Thanks RS.If only we ahd a house and senate filled with Ted Cruz's.Not to mention the White House.
Wonderful family.
Oh, Texas.
How I envy you.
Keep standing for us, Senator.
"Faced criticism for grilling Defense Secretary nominee Chuck Hagel".......in other words, for doing the job he was elected to do. Heaven forbid that all the people we elect actually did their job....
BINGO! And doing the job that the US Senate is supposed to do during confirmation hearings.
One more comment... John McLame blasted Cruz during the Hagle hearings too. McLame is a clown...
Cruz asked the questions and made comments that all the liberals, establishment and brain dead intellects in the room are too whimpy to ask.
I think it is quite possible but I will wait and see. Let's not jump the gun and a man of Cruz's established intellect would take the same stance.
Beautiful family, strong faith in God, of moral character, and common sense. Cruz keeps looking better and better.
Combine them together with the bucket of rust being the Dems and RINOs with the Cruz Missile fired into it shattering the rust bucket and becoming even larger.
Are you sure about that?
Obama and his handlers modeled his campaign and image to mimic Reagan. That is some smart marketing even though his persona is manufactured and Reagan's was genuine.
Senator Ted Cruz is definitely A lifeline for the Conservative Party, but not the Republican party. I'm ashamed of the criticism he has received from the Republican establishment, such as McCain and Graham, in the Senate Armed Services Committee confirmation hearing for former Senator Chuck Hagel.
I must have missed something, because clowns like McCain and Graham were brutal when questioning Hagel during the Senate Armed Services Committee confirmation hearing. But that didn't stop them from a verbal assault of Sen. Cruz.
I am beginning to think that the Democratic Party and the Republican Party, are joined at the hip, and they are making fools of all of us.
If you do not agree with that analogy, then please tell me why the Democrats get away with what they get away with, and the Republicans offer no objection?
I don't disagree with your comment about the Democratic Party and the Republican Party. In fact, regarding the dysfunction of political parties, I would remind all to recall George Washington's concern and warning to the Americans about the role of political parties - sorry about the length, but it eliminates the need to click link. And for the record, I never consider myself to be a Republican. However, I am a strong advocate of conservatism.
George Washington after declining to run for a third term as President, warned of the DANGERS of political parties in his Farewell Address. Unfortunately, Americans forgot this warning over 200 years ago and gave birth to the very dangers that Washington had warned about.
Political parties
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Washington%27s_Farewell_Address#Political_parties
"Alexander Hamilton, the founder of the Federalist Party Washington continues to advance his idea of the dangers of sectionalism and expands his warning to include the dangers of political parties to the government and country as a whole. His warnings took on added significance with the recent creation of the Democratic-Republican Party by Jefferson, to oppose Hamilton's Federalist Party, which had been created a year earlier in 1791, which in many ways promoted the interest of certain regions and groups of Americans over others. A more pressing concern for Washington, which he makes reference to in this portion of the address, was the Democratic-Republican efforts to align with France and the Federalist efforts to ally the nation with Great Britain in an ongoing conflict between the two European nations brought about by the French Revolution.
While Washington accepts the fact that it is natural for people to organize and operate within groups like political parties, he also argues that every government has recognized political parties as an enemy and has sought to repress them because of their tendency to seek more power than other groups and take revenge on political opponents.
Moreover, Washington makes the case that "the alternate domination" of one party over another and coinciding efforts to exact revenge upon their opponents have led to horrible atrocities, and "is itself a frightful despotism. But this leads at length to a more formal and permanent despotism." From Washington's perspective and judgment, the tendency of political parties toward permanent despotism is because they eventually and "gradually incline the minds of men to seek security and repose in the absolute power of an individual."
Washington goes on to acknowledge the fact that parties are sometimes beneficial in promoting liberty in monarchies, but argues that political parties must be restrained in a popularly elected government because of their tendency to distract the government from their duties, create unfounded jealousies among groups and regions, raise false alarms amongst the people, promote riots and insurrection, and provide foreign nations and interests access to the government where they can impose their will upon the country."
I hope you make this your home. Your thought is clear, and your allegiance to the Founders, is what marks you. I look forward to seeing what else you have to say.
Thank you for your kind post and I can assure you the feeling is mutual. The simple fact there are Americans like you who understand the importance of the government created by the Founder Fathers is a great source of comfort.
We have had major setbacks in recent years, but Obama's abysmal record will soon be the road conservatives take regain power, reduce the size and scope of the federal government and return these powers back to us - WE THE PEOPLE.
It's disheartening to see the Founder's documents that defined the role and rights of the people and states being obliterated and only to be replaced by legislation that expands the progressive plutocrat's power in DC in the name of human rights while infringing on our constitutional rights.
I am amazed by your comment. You are obviously a person who reads books, and spends little time, watching television. I like you already.
In this time, when we are losing our country, to Socialists and Communists and Progressives, and School Teachers, who are ruining the minds of our children, it is refreshing, to read the words of someone who actually uses History, to relate to the problems that are facing us.
The solution to all we are facing, resides in the words of our Founders. It breaks my heart, that so few among us, believe that truth.
McCain and Graham are RINOs. I called both of their Washington offices and asked if they are switching their party affiliation to Democrat. Silence on the other end of the phone.
Rubio = Bush/McCain/Romney/Boehner establishment.
Cruz = Newt-clear Cruise Missile.
I'd call him more a Cruz Missile rather than the "Republican Obama" If someone called me that, I'd feel slighted. He is everything NObama could never be! A man of principle and of God who actually loves his country and has a wife and family who were ALWAYS proud of this nation! God bless them!
Your right, Wolfie! Who wants to be called the "Republican Obama?" That's degrading Ted Cruz.
Well since Obama already leads the War on Women, didn't think listening to an "icon" drug user and person who did not treat his wife with respect would help our cause :) Didn't think about the youngsters, well there's the Internet and they search her :):):)
Heh. I actually typed "Pat Boone" first, but I backed up and typed Elvis over that, because I was afraid some of the younger folks might think I was losing it myself.
Of course, typing "Elvis" already means I probably bear watching.
Thank you... God Bless you too!
My mom told me the nurses called me the "little fighter" :-) and were pulling for me too! :-)
My pleasure. ;) Hardships are lighter to carry on when we have a personal relationship with God because to know Him is to know peace. It is very obvious He reigns in your life. It's amazing how God strengthens and comforts us when we need it the most. Praise be to the God of all comfort!! God bless!
"I want to install something like that in Barack's brain."

I've posted this before on the subject, but I think the movie 'Liar Liar' really brings the point home...

Thank you Lady MacKeltar! While it is a bit of a hardship dealing with a bum heart and the ramifacations, I do not fear death. Being saved washes all fear of death away and replaces it with the knowledge that there is an eternal life for those who will but seek it in Christs name.
Milady, I fully intend to not only survive this next round of surgery, but also to recover the life I've had to put on hold these past 5 months.
No worries Milady, whatever happens is in the hands of God. I accept that. God bless you ma'am. VG
ROFL! If you are trying to drive him insane, it won't work my friend. Obama went way round the bend years ago!
Wolfie, your story brought tears to my eyes. God is GREAT!! Nothing is too difficult or impossible for Him and you are one more proof of it. Thank you for sharing your story. God Bless!
HI VG. We haven't had the chance to "meet" in this blog but I have been reading your story and getting to know you through your posts. I just wanted to let you know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. May God's love surround you and your family during this period of hardship. I would like to leave you this verse from the Bible, so it gives you encouragement on the day of your procedure. "Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand." Isaiah 41:10 God Bless!
I want to install something like that in Barack's brain.
Every time he starts to lie, I want it to send about fifty watts of Elvis, singing, right into his cerebral cortex. Followed by a hundred watts of Drill Sergeant "explaining" things the way they do.
That brought tears to my eyes. God bless you Brother! I'll tell you what... Which ever of us makes it to Glory first puts in a good word for the other... Deal? ;-)
DANG!! You've had more then your share of heart problems my friend! Thank you for sharing with me.
I do not fear much of anything Wolfie, and certainly not these heart issues. I am saved. If I die on the table, then I will make the fantasic voyage into eternity and end up in the arms of my Creator! If I survive, then I get to come home to my wife, children and grandchildren!
From my point of view, it is a win-win situation! No fear brother Wolf! VG
Holy Sweet Jesus that scared even me and I'm not facing it. I will pray hard for you! I don't know if I told you, but I've had heart problems all my life as well. I was born with a hole in my heart and the blood pressure was all wrong. The doctors did an emergency op when I was an infant to "fix" things. But they thought I was too week for the needle and told my mother to prepare for the worse. A priest was called and worse yet... A nurse told my mother "you're young, you can have another one" That haunts me! Any rate... I got my op and came through, and a second one to fix the issues they found in the first one. When I was growing up, I could hardly move... I couldn't climb a stairs without being totally out of breath! My growth was also stunted. Apparently the other ops so restricted my blood flow that now I wasn't getting enough oxygenated blood and my heart was still not right. At 13 years old I finally got an op that fixed things. I had always wanted to play sports - in particular soccer... And my mom told me that when I woke up after the operation I asked her if I would be able to play now. (wow, I'm getting emotional just writing this)...
I'm 49 years old now... I'm tell you this story in the hope that it will bring you some hope and faith. Doctors and nurses are the best people in the world in my opinion and I've been in enough hospitals to know! ;-)
Medicine and operations have come a long way since I was a kid... I'm sure you are going to be just fine! Pain in the arse? yes! No doubt (not you, the procedures! LOL!) But you'll do just fine! God bless and if we don't get to meet in real life, I'll hope to see you later in Heaven! ;-)
BTW, if you ever would like to chat off-TRS, you can email me at wolfieusa@inbox.com any time!
Hi Wolf! Pretty good. Next Tuesday I'll have a full set of chest x-rays and a full blood work up.
Then on March 7th, the surgeon is going to put a combination defib/pacemaker in my chest. FINALLY!
He said that he decided against just a defib because of the sheer amount of damage done to it. He took a great deal of time in telling the Boss (my nurse wife) and I about how it will work.
The pacemaker part of the gizmo will deliever a 7.5 volt shock to my heart when it stops. And he said that with the amount of damage to my heart that I can expect that it will indeed stop and need to be restarted a number of times over the rest of my life.
The defibrillator part will give me a shock of 850 volts into my heart in order to return it to normal when my heart goes into arrythmia. He said that I can EXPECT that to happen a number of times over the balance of my life as well. Kind of a sobering visit yesterday my friend.
He will put me to sleep, do a bit of slicing and dicing, thread some wires into my heart via a vein. The wire bundle has a corkscrew at the end of it which will be screwed into the inside of my heart wall. Imagine that!!!! I'm getting screwed while having my heart worked on!! lol.
Then he will attach the device, called an ICD to the wires, slip it into a pouch he cuts into the area between my left chest and armpit. Then the fun starts!
He will STOP my heart! Hopefully the pacemaker will restart it! If not there will be many other ways available to the surgeon to restart my heart. We will continue repeating this until the gizmo restarts my heart on it's own. Somehow, I don't believe I'm going to have as much fun as the surgeon is, know what I mean!
Anyway, once the pacemaker is doing what it is supposed to do, he will then induce arrythmia. A 850 volt zap ensues! Lucky me! Then, if all the things are working, I get sewed up and sleep off the drugs in the cardio/icu.
"But the best part", the doctor says with a huge smile," happens on Friday! We will return to the theatre and I will induce arrythmia while you are AWAKE!"
He wants to see how I will respond to arrythmia and the following big shock, and wants to know how it felt to me.
All I can say about that is that it will be a good thing for HIM that I'll be strapped down!
There you have it, my dear Wolfie. You now know what I know about it. As for how it felt to get hit with 850 volts to the heart, I'll let ya know that when I get home either Friday night or Satuday morning. To be honest, I'm not so sure that getting a big jolt of juice to my heart is going to be that much fun!!! lolol VG
