Deaf preschooler told to change name because hand sign for his name looks like a gun

I’m not sure if I can even think of a more absurd example of political correctness gone wild than this:

I’m really left speechless. I’d make a counter argument to this insane policy but when you’ve gone this far into absurdity, even the counter arguments feel absurd because it’s like trying to explain ‘common sense’. Either you got it or you don’t, and clearly these school bureaucrats don’t.

So basically, Rome is burning down and people have to deal with this kind of nonsense.
