Two great clips here from Fox News Sunday where Chris Wallace really makes Debbie Wasserman Schultz squirm when defending Obama:

First, she tries to say Obama isn’t responsible for Solyndra layoffs while saying Romney is responsible for laying off people that Bain Capital bought and took over:

Secondly, she squirms again at trying to explain how Obama should get another term even when he said he shouldn’t if he hasn’t turned the economy around:

Now I get it. It’s President Obama’s humility that is causing his poll numbers to tank. He just won’t take credit for how great a leader he actually is. If only he would give himself a little credit, we idiots might understand that he’s like, the fourth greatest President ever.

    Oh, wait…

DWS is pathetic…the Dims made a poor choice there.
Mr. Pribus is correct in saying that if say nothing and listen you get the answer you were waiting for in the first place….he is so much better than Michal Steele, whom I liked personallly, but could not keep his foot out of his mouth.

I don’t recall ever seeing one person holding down a full-time job in addition to either the RNC or DNC Chair.

Reince should have said that if your going to make the argument about CEO’s than what is her definition of CEO? By her interpretation of CEO, ‘technically’ the President still owns GM. Under his orders to give money to GM, he became the owner. Under his orders to give money to Solyndra, he became the owner. Where does DWS’s definition of CEO stop and start? They may try to make an argument that its different because it’s taxpayer money. Yes indeed, there is a HUGE difference. Romney’s group used their own money. This crapweasel President and his cronies are using ours. That should be the follow through from our side. But we certainly ain’t gettin’ with our current crew. (I’m not supporting Romney, by the way.) I just wish someone would put this moronic woman in her place once and for all!

Why in heaven’s name can we not get a ‘leader’ to throw back in their face a simple but very hard hitting answer that has lasting bite? I always learned that if you get punched, you better swing back with a take down! Geeeez how did our team become such weenies?

    Another fan of dictatorships.

When Rome was anything other than a backwater craphole, they had many other nations under their imperial thumb. For the most part, within the Rome imposed limitations (such as the vile Pax Romana), the leaders of those nations were allowed to continue to run their own affairs and nations, just as vassals presiding over vassal states. Waterhead Schultz, apparently, would’ve preferred that the Roman dictatorship assumed direct control over those nations, and that the nations be absorbed into Rome, and being called “Rome”.

This is the same way she sees Bain Captial. Bane was a business with subsidiaries. Each of those subsidiaries had their own CEO, boards of directors and other levels of leadership, though they may’ve been ultimately responsible to Bain Capital. In the Army, when you were put in charge of something, that’s exactly what they did: put you in charge. Whatever happened was your responsibility. Romney, apparently, allowed people to run their affairs as they saw fit. If he appointed CEOs for those companies (and I have nothing stating that he did), then he allowed those CEOs to BE CEOs, and chose not to micromanage them, and second guess their every decision, and stand over their shoulders. Why? PROBABLY BECAUSE HE HAD HIS HANDS FULL RUNNING BAIN CAPITAL.

Leftists have a seemingly inborn aversion for the dodging the responsibilities that they voluntarily accept. Obama blames Bush, Waterhead Schultz blames Romney. Am I the only one that wonders why she never seems like she will give any consideration to such things as the levels of profitability of individual corporations in question, state and national economic conditions, etc. This is obviously because she has absolutely no head for business, any more than she has one for just plain rational thought. Everybody here knows I’m no Romney booster; I call him Little Lord Fauntleroy, and dislike the guy. In spite of that, I will remain mentally honest, and call out a liar, when I see a liar, be it him, or Debbie Waterhead Schultz who has speech patterns disturbingly reminiscent of Start Trek’s Lieutenant Ilia:

A venture capital company, or any large investment group, will usually get a seat or two on the board of directors. It’s not usually the CEO of the investment firm but it can be. So, yes. As CEO of Bain, Romney’s voice was likely represented as a few board votes when decisions regarding the direction those companies must take in order to remain profitable. Whether the Bain votes were the ones that pushed the “cut jobs” decision into the majority is an unknown. That DWS assumes it was totally Romney’s call does show that she knows absolutely nothing of how business or capital investments work. That’s no surprise. Just another couple of items on a very, very long list (which, I think, also includes combs).

DNC Chairmoron DWS: “Don’t you understand that if it’s a good thing it’s because of Obama; if it’s a bad thing it’s the fault of George W Bush and the republicans? Don’t you get that?”

  • Anonymous

DWS agrees with Newt. God help us.

Newt is just being a jerk about attacking Mitt on Bain.

    • Anonymous

DWS is a moron. But, did you see any of the crap that Romney rolled out on Newt in Iowa? I hate all of this mudslinging within the party, but you can’t have it both ways. If our politics are going to be defiened by these super Pacs then this is what we will continue to see. Romney is not a babe in the woods. He said it himself, “We can take it, Hell’s kitchen”, etc… It may not be pretty, but if I was being hit…I’d hit back.

It is really hard to defend Newt for this. It undermines conservatism.

        • Anonymous

I saw it. Not saying I agree with the content and is fundamentally against all that I stand for. I will also say the same about the ads against Newt in Iowa. That’s my point, its just all slime and a sad commentary of where we are when the real target should be Obama. My hope is the process plays out without terrible damage to the real goal of replacing this inept President.

          • Anonymous

The ad is the same argument Obama will use. Newt should be defending Mitt on this. There is no shortage of legitimate issues to attack Mitt.

            We’re screwed.

            • Anonymous

Little hard to say Newt should be defending Mitt on this. Agreed, there is no shortage of issues to attack Mitt on and Obama will. If he is not able to counter and shape this election on the Obama record and has to spend all his time defending his own…then yes, we are screwed. Is every other candidate supposed to just sit on their thumbs while he takes equally low shots at them? No, this is what primaries are for. If he is truly fit, it should not effect him. He will have larger problems when it comes to the general. Mainly, trying to show a real contrast between him and Obama. My fear is they are a lot more alike than different not so much on fiscal policy, but on many others.

            • Trust1TG

Obama’s dirt is so dirty it’s almost unspeakable. Will it come out?

Will the reason that Obama truly believes he’s ‘The One’ the only son and heir to the black supremacist and muslim martyr, Malcolm X, be acknowledged and made public?

              • Trust1TG

AND will Obama’s ties and loyalties to Islam and OIC be made public?

              • Anonymous

It won’t come out with Mitt as the candidate. Perhaps one of his lovely surrogates will bring it out so Mitt can continue to maintain his squeeky image.

        • http://hashmonean.com saus

I watched Romney laughing off his millions upon millions of dollars in attack ads, which even (ee gads!) the Washington Post admitted were mostly lies. They gave those ads 4 pinnochios, as in top of the lie scale. It was a sad and pitiful 2 weeks for Romney and a poor display to me at least, of how weak a candidate he really is.

If Gingrich is going for the jugular now I can’t say I blame him. What’s good for the goose is good for the gander. I just want the GOP to win, but I have to say the way everyone lets everything just slide off Romney’s back is unbelievable.

          • Anonymous

Yeah, I don’t blame Newt for being mad. He just chose the wrong thing to attack him for.

As the Obama administration digs the economic recovery hole deeper and deeper without any good solutions to turn things around they try to make what he inherited sound worse and worse. They don’t have a clue as to how to fix things and what they thought would work as only made things worse. Based on everything I’ve read about the “Great Depression” the democrats back then were making things worse by the day also–the thing that turned the economy around back then was WWII.
