Does Obama have a drinking problem?

Glenn Beck was reading through the recent medical release from Obama’s physical and found the following:

“Continue smoking cessation efforts, a daily exercise program, healthy diet, moderation in alcohol intake, periodic dental care, and remain up-to-date with recommended immunizations”

I don’t know about you, but I’m not sure there is ever an appropriate time for the President to ever be consuming alcohol in any significant amount while in office. Yes, even if he is on vacation, an emergency can happen at any time and he must be at his best at all times.  What this suggests is that he is drinking too much, unless I am reading it wrong. Let’s hope I am and let’s hope the press will inquire about this.

    Yall are right, but I still stand by my argument that the most powerful man in the free world ALSO shouldn't drink if SOLDIERS aren't allowed to drink in combat zones since BOTH have to be READY 24/7.

    The verb is "continue."

    Continue ... moderation in alcohol intake.

    The verb is not "moderate" as in "moderate your alcohol intake."

    The meaning is that his alcohol intake is already moderate, and should continue to be so.

    Logic people, logic.

    The recommendation includes "healthy diet" and "periodic dental care". Using Beck's logic the president is not eating a healthy diet and has been avoiding the dentist.

    You guys are trying too hard with this one. Reading the quote above, it looks like a standard recommendation that includes dental care and daily exercise. We know the guy exercises quite a bit and I doubt he neglects his teeth, so this whole thing is probably nothing.

    I must THOROUGHLY AGREE with you. When soldiers are deployed, they're NEVER allowed to drink at ANY point in time because it lowers the readiness and could potentially jeopardize an important operation when it comes up. I would have to say the SAME SHOULD apply to the POTUS.
