Don Lemon draws physical contact from Team Bachmann in crowd at Iowa State Fair

First they “roughed up” Brian Ross, now this. Will Team Bachmann’s reign of terror never end?

Seriously, this stuff is par for the course for on-the-scene reporters. Lemon was shoving his microphone right past Bachmann’s security crew as Bachman was obviously trying to work her way through a huge crowd. Now, sometimes that interviewing technique works surprisingly well, but usually it doesn’t. But it’s not like this was a formal press conference. Everybody in the crowd got jostled a little bit.

I don’t know. Seems to me like Lemon is being a bit melodramatic.

Totally disagree with the prevailing wisdom.

This is the second time there has been an incident with a member of the press and Bachmann’s people at a political event.

Bachmann and her people need to learn how to conduct press scrums, even when there is a crowd of people around her, instead of simply brushing reporters off.

Failure to do so will lead to repeat incidents, leading to more and more negative press.

The fact these incidents are occurring shows the lack of skill of the candidate and her team in dealing with the media at political events.

Jaynie…we all make our own life decisions. You have chosen to support Palin by doing what you are doing. And others show their support the way they want to. George HW Bush didn’t jump in to the campaign until October of 87. John McCain didn’t kick off his 2000 campaign until September of 1999. Bill Clinton didn’t announce that he was running until October 1991. Sarah Palin doesn’t need to announce now. She doesn’t need to get name recognition time like Rick Perry or Michele Bachmann do. The later she jumps in…the less money she needs to raise. And she also avoids a lot of the dust up like you had between Bachmann and Pawlenty. Sarah Palin has not made anyone ANY promises. And she KNOWS the support she has. If she wasn’t running…she would have told her supporters a long time ago. The reason why you say “I haven’t decided yet….” is because the MOMENT you say the words…”I’m running for president…” the laws kick in. It doesn’t matter if she has filed the paperwork or not. The moment she says the words…the laws kick in and she doesn’t have the freedom she has now. I have been saying for over 2 years that she would announce between August 20th and September 3rd. No one is making you wait for her announcement. If you really think she is screwing around…then maybe Sarah Palin isn’t your candidate. But don’t tell other people that they are pathetic because they do support her.

She also wasn’t free to run for president until the end of July because of all the frivilous lawsuits. As soon as the 2 year statute of limitations ran out..the very next day…she announced that she would be making a speech in Iowa on September 3rd. She’s also out on her bus tour meeting real people with none of this kind of thing between Lemon and Bachmann.

Have a little faith or support someone else. But whether or not you support her…don’t knock the people that do. No one is being forced to support Sarah Palin. If those of us that have given our time to her want to…it is OUR decision to do so! If she decides to not run…the election is not for another 15 months! We have time! It’s not like the election is next week.
