Ed Schultz is so jealous of Glenn Beck

via HotAir.com. Man is this guy ever over the top! He is now saying that he could draw more people to a rally in DC than Glenn Beck! HILARIOUS!

Beck’s rally is definitely working. This guy can’t shut up about Beck!!!

  • KeninMontana

Funny how the list of “if’s” grow as he goes along. Put up or Shut up Ed!

  • guest

Nobody watches your TV show, or listen to your radio show!! So have at it loser!

  • Seth

If he wants to make a rally to compete with 8/28 I say bring it on. Even if George Sorros and Andy Stern pay 500,000 people to show up (they have the money), it won’t have the same power as 8/28 because the crowd wouldn’t have the same character as Glenn’s did and the words spoken wouldn’t have any real meaning. I’d actually like to see the progressives try because I know it will be a fantastic failure.

The Rev. Al Sharpton thought he could too. He wound up in a high school football stadium…

Lets see- buy a crowd of 500,000 protestors that can’t go without destroying something and see what happens-

These are career victims- In large numbers they would succumb to mob mentality with all that anger flowing- It would not end well. I would love to see the spin. Politicians wouldn’t dare step near that mess.

  • KenInIL

I would bet 8/28 did not cost Fox or Beck 1 penny except for the onscreen promotions. Does anybody belong to Ed’s “insider extreme” does he even have one?

  • Julia

What a sad, strange little man…

  • Seth

I didn’t think about it that way. My mistake. The point that I am trying to make is that the progressives will never be able to make a rally with as much power as 8/28 because they believe in Saul Alinski politics, which doesn’t resonate well with the American people.

  • http://twitter.com/ozziecastillo Ozzie Castillo

I was being sarcastic- I didn’t mean offense- I agree, but mostly because the Alinsky method involves the mindset that the ends justify the means.

  • Metalplate6157

This guy couldn’t organize, much less lead, a one-car funeral procession.

Do it Ed… I dare you!

  • Jiuyas

Ed – You need to go back and read your “Holy Koran”. Islam is a religion of peace but it seems you have lost your way.

  • Rta1836

Hey Ed, call on your audience to come to a rally in 6 months, lets see if 300,000 people show up. Wait a minute do you even have that many listeners.

  • Anonymous

BECK, HAS STARTED A NEW GREEN MOVEMENT! LOL

  • Johnschaffran

Listen to his word. He says that their will be NO DEMS after the election. We all know that won’t happen. At this point ladies and gentleman, just continue to educate neighbors and friend and November will decide!

500K at time and a half + transportation & lodging, maybe $1500 per/person with double occupancy -> $750 M, probably more than a months union dues. I’d like to see them do it. Security and damage cost would also be significant.

Seems clear the posters here have been drinking the right-wing kool-aid myth that progressive rallies/protests don’t bring large crowds. It’s understandable that you’d think that, considering that you never hear anything about our actions in the supposedly “liberal” mainstream media. A mainstream media that gives the Teabaggers tons of free publicity.

For example, did you ever hear about the anti-Iraq war march in NYC back in 2003 that drew a record turnout, estimated at over 500,000? No, you didn’t. Because the “liberal” media virtually ignored it. Yet every puny little Tea Party action gets front page coverage. Hmmm…

As always, FACTS are stubborn things…

    1. Even the organizers of the mid-February march (2003) put the estimated crowd at 375,000… the police commissioner put it at 100,000 (source, your buddies at CNN)
    http://www.cnn.com/2003/US/02/15/sprj.irq.protests.main/

    2. BBC put the total at 100,000 (that’s TWO sources for that number) (source, your buddies at WIKI)
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/February_15,_2003_anti-war_protest#New_York

    3. The “source” for the 3-400,000 estimate was the “World Socialist Web Site”… not exactly a ‘bastion’ of FACT… even amongst their own constituents.

    4. The “source” for the “over a million” estimate/quote… came from the online E-zine “Telepolis” ~ of the Heise publishing empire.
    http://www.heise.de/tp/r4/artikel/14/14195/1.html

…odd though, their major function seems to be in tech. information, and news/story TRANSLATION services for Europe… not ‘making’ news.

And declaring “over a million”, when even the organizers (talk about ‘skin in the game’) put a final number of nearly 3/4 OF A MILLION… LESS than that.

    Curious, indeed.

But, as mentioned… FACTS are stubborn little things.

Oh, and remember, CLASS UP ~ or clear out. You know what’s being talked about here.

  • Extremely Right

Where does the left come up with these idiots? But I guess that’s a rhetorical question isn’t it?

  • JScross1945

    Then do it!!!

  • Brenden

glenn paid for a lot of it personally. but still hahaha ed shultz would never be man enough or selfless enough to spend any of his own earnings to help a good cause… any good cause, and he couldn’t raise enough funds to open a lemonade stand

  • christopher

He don’t have one eighth the class and honor we do, King, Palin, and Glenn? Give us a break Edarino…HA, HA ,HA ,HA ,HA. never.

  • JoJoDe

Yes Don he ended up at a high school football stadium where I was told there was a big problem. I stayed on the grounds after GB’s rally and about 2 hrs later there were at least 10 ambulances going down Constitution Ave. Someone had told me they heard that a fight(riot??????) had taken place and the streets were on lock down. For about 1-2hrs we could not get a buss or cab or car down many roads in that area. I walked apprx 2 miles and made my way toward the WH just to get out of the area. No one is talking about it so I am wondering what that’s all about. I know I saw it but cannot find any details.

  • JoJoDe

If he can do it, then why doesn’t he? It’s not a competition and there’s plenty room for more people to step up to try and save this country. It is going to take all of us not just Glenn Beck. Do it big mouth or shut up!

  • Aar

Ah yes, facts are stubborn things. Too bad you haven’t provided any.
    1. Of course the numbers will be in dispute and vary depending on the source. They always do.
    2. I didn’t say a million. I said 500,000. And I used the operative word “estimated”.
    3. CNN (Corporate News Network) are definitely NOT my buddies. Just because they aren’t as rabidly right-wing as you’d like doesn’t mean they represent the liberal view.
    4. You refer to Wikipedia as ‘my buddies”. Are you implying that even Wikipedia has a liberal bias? Hilarious! You guys can’t let go of your persecution complex, can you?

    and most importantly,
    5. My point wasn’t about the exact numbers, it was about the virtual news blackout. And even if the smallest estimates are true (unlikely), keep in mind there were countless similar-sized anti-war protests before and after and all over the country then. (Just look at your own wiki source) Why did we not hear about them in the media, including CNN?
Yet every little Tea Party function gets prime-time top-of-the-hour non-stop coverage. Can you explain that?

ps- as for the “class up or clear out”, I was using a term that Tea Partiers have used many times to describe themselves, particularly when they wear teabags on their hats. I was not trying to make a sexual joke. Regardless, I won’t use the term again.

  • Aar

Actually 2.5 million listen to his radio show.
    http://talkers.com/online/?p=71
Far more than listen to right-wingers Dennis Miller, Dennis Prager, G. Gordon Lidy, or Hugh Hewitt. So I guess they’re losers too?
And according to one of your own guys on another thread, 700,000 watch his TV show.
That’s a whole lot more than “nobody”.
If just 1/10th of those total people came to his rally, he’d have his 300,000.

But this shouldn’t be about popularity. After all, Britney Spears is popular. Does that mean it’s good music?
This should be about what’s true and what’s false. Ed tells the truth. Beck lies. This has been proven many times. A simple google search will show this. But none are so blind as those who refuse to see.

  • Bob Warren

This is the sort of “news” you can get 24/7 on Fox.
Typical Glenn Beck taking Democrat’s words out contexts to fabricate his lies.
