Worse. The old boss was secular and multi religions were tolerated (if I'm not mistaken). That's gone. Additionally, Mubarak was pro west and did not go after Israel (may have even been pro-Israel). Morsi is the opposite.
The worst is yet to come, and it will get worse very quickly I'm afraid. Obama and Hillary supported the removal of Mubarak, so they are responsible for what is to come for being complete freaking morons.

Yup, that's what I'm getting at. The Sunni tend to have Autocratic Dictators, the Shia tend to have Theocratic Dictators or a Monarchy but Islam is the state, in either case. There is nothing 'neutral' or 'secular' about it. Nor is there anything 'secular' about Atheism.
I suppose you're right. Saddam was a Sunni and Sunni's controlled everything, so I'd imagine that can't be considered secular. He did not impose Sharia Law, however, and women had more rights in Iraq than they have now. I was considering him secular because he did not impose Sharia Law and make it a theocracy.

That's why I used the word 'Autocratic'. An Islamic state may be Sunni or Shia but it will still be an Islamic state with a strong man (Dictator) in charge.
Be real careful with the word 'secularism'. Liberals, especially atheists, love to bandy that word about but few understand that it means freedom OF religion, as well as freedom FROM religion, in terms of government.
I call it a secular dictatorship instead of If an Islamic Autocracy (for Saddam,etc.). In any case, you are right. Islam does not tolerate other factions and democracy never makes it into the same sentence with islam. Once Sharia Law is implemented, that is a theocracy. Libs believe Morsi when he said they will have Sharia Law without a theocracy. What? You can't have one without the other. Sharia IS government (theocracy).

There's no such thing as an Islamic Democracy, Islam is the state.
There are 2 choices. An Islamic Autocracy (Saddam, Gadaffi, Mubarak, Morsi, etc.) or an Islamic Theocracy (Iran, Indonesia, The Sudan, etc.).

Welll, let's see....the Muslim Brotherhood has lied about every single thing up to this point. They weren't even going to put forth a candidate in the election. Then they weren't going to impose Islam or Sharia Law.

So let me get this straight. We traded an Egyptian dictator, Mubarak, who was friendly to both the United States AND Israel AND was an arch-enemy to al Qaeda, for another Egyptian dictator, Morsi, that hates the United States, really hates Israel, and supports the terrorists in Gaza as well as al Qaeda (which, by the way, came out of the Muslim Brotherhood, which now has Morsi as its leader). And the American public thought that Clinton and Obama's foreign policy was doing just fine, even AFTER the murders in Benghazi? Well, that's what you get when you have over half the electorate that doesn't really care about what's happening in the world. Just wait until Iran gets a nuclear bomb. Then those same people who voted for Obama are going to say, "Wow, did that really happen?" Um, yes it did, now watch Obama try to "fix" it. Good luck with that.

I know that I have unfortunately become quite the conspiracy theorist lately, which used to be completely out of character for me, but... isn't the timing on this a wee bit strange? Just after Morsi is lauded by our government as being some great peacemaker in the Gaza/Israel situation, he suddenly drops the boom on his own people? Could it possibly be... stay with me here... could it possibly be that our government assured him they would financially support him and stand out of his way in Egypt if in return, he assured that the movement of arms would be halted into Gaza? The timing seems too perfect.
