More Occupy Wall Street self-parody here, and boy is this one a beaut. It comes with the obligatory NSFW f-bomb warning, but man it is hilarious. Just another 99%-er representin’ I guess. The girl at the end was moved to tears by this spectacle. I was too, but mine were tears of laughter.

    I cannot help but blame parents. Our public schools are liberal. You have to teach morals, values & common sense at home. We are the parents. It is OUR job.

            As to the fire hoses, for my part is humor. I have no issues with the right to assemble peacefully. That said, if you have been paying attention, you would be aware of my position on Rights, Responsibility in the exercise of those Rights, as well as Respect for the Rights of your fellow citizens. These individuals have no respect for the Rights of anyone who does not fall into line with their ideology, that in itself earns them my contempt. Back to the subject of fire hoses, a great many of these encampments have become sanitation nightmares and a legitimate risk to the health and welfare of themselves and others. This leaves two options, either they clean up their mess and maintain the area that they occupy or if they choose to do nothing, thus ignoring the Rights of the people that live and work in these areas, they leave the municipal government with no option but to legitimately take steps to remedy the situation. I think fire hoses is a better option than ‘hats and bats’ and tear gas, don’t you?

              edit: I agree if they are interfering with the rights of others than authorities have every right not disperse them. I would still be horrified if the dispersion method of choice was a fire hose though. I tend to have a pretty sarcastic sense of humor that can rub people the wrong way, but I can’t find humor in that.

                The Alinsky model, which has been followed by this administration, is for violence to follow the demonstrations. Some violence has been perpetrated. At what point do “fire hoses” become suitable?

            I dont think Ken was meaning use the firehoses like the firehoses were used in the 60s to control blacks. My take was that he meant it to be more of a rain that falls over the crowd that can be used to wash away the filth.

    I’ve never seen so many sad, aimless, sick people in my life. Whoever is financing these fake protests… paying for these kids’ meals, plane fare, train fare, stipends, etc… should also be paying for their psychiatric care. Clearly, these people need clinical help. There is no ideological purpose to these protests, other than each of these young “students” venting their anger at the failure of their own lives.

    Their image of what America “should be” is lost in the fog of their own psycho babble.

    Are they upset at the economy? If so, blame Obama… he implemented the policies that got us here.

    Are they upset that they themselves are not millionaires? If so, they need to grow a pair, and get to work on their career choices… as Herman Cain said, “blame yourself,” because, truly, they are the masters of their own destiny… if not them, then who? The state?

    If they want a caring state, they already have one: food stamps and unemployment benefits as far as the eye can see, paid for medical care… and paid for protests.

    Unlike the Tea Party, who are working citizens who pay their own way to events, these misdirected young people have no purpose other than to avoid the inevitable conclusion of their lives… they each must abandon this pointless “occupation” when winter sets in, and resume normal lives in society. Even Soros himself can’t finance all of these people living on the street forever.

      H.f., I’d also like to thank you from the bottom of my heart…I thank God every day that this country is filled with far more men and women like you than like those ungrateful, clueless losers currently taking up space at these protests. My husband also served for 20+ years, and it’s endlessly frustrating to realize that, but for the sacrifices of you and him and countless other heroes, we’d be living in a country where protests like this would be punishable by death….but rather than appreciating that fact and living accordingly, they choose to mock and denigrate those who’ve made their idiocy possible.

      As a somewhat related sidenote, regarding the sheer lack of appreciation on their part for all they’ve been given by this country – I wonder if any of these brain surgeons sees the irony in the fact that they’re being asked to vacate temporarily so that the park may be cleared of the filth they’ve produced; the very same ‘evil rich’ that they’re vilifying are going to work every day, paying taxes, so that the city can pay to clean up the mess that these heathens have created and refuse to clean up themselves. The utter lunacy of it all literally gives me a headache.

    This guy is playing to the camera. Watch his smile at the 30sec and 37sec marks, watch his eyes move to his partner throughout, and watch him tell the camera person at the end that he’s finished.     It’s so sad that this is the mindset of our kids, they’ve never really had to work or create anything so they have no idea what they are talking about. It’s beautifully captured in the statement… “the future cars are going to have more mileage” (had to cut that quote short for some of the more colorful language) this kid wants that, and I truly believe he is wanting nothing but the best, but he doesn’t understand the process needed to get there. To him it’s just a given that it will be made, no thought to;

    a) the engineers needed to design it and their many years of incredibly HARD courses in school, the hours of studying and the thousands of dollars in student loans they will accumulate.

    b) the investors who will risk millions of dollars in capital to finance the research and development of engines that, not only get better gas mileage but MUCH better gas mileage.

    c) the company and their CEO’s who will invest the millions of dollars in purchasing the machines to produce the parts of the engine and who will pay the possibly millions of dollars in salary for the people who are on the production line.

    The liberal mindset is very emotional and very simplistic. I feel sorry for people like this guy, he will truly cut off his nose to spite his face, but I have nothing but contempt for the people who continue to push this class warfare that makes these useful idiots get so worked up about things that they don’t understand…. and it’s been going on LONG before this current president, he’s just ratcheted up the rhetoric.

    I listened, but within a few seconds I scrolled below the video. I quickly got tired of looking at his lips.

    Aside from the self-contradictions and the total reality-disconnect, this spoiled idiot boy is trying to make it sound as if they are manning (I know – no manhood, no manning) the barricades in the face of a furious assault by the forces of evil and darkness. While the police stand calmly and quietly behind him, trying not to throw up.
