Thanks, but I'm American. I now teach English in Hungary. I was a landscape contractor in California, but you know, the communists letting thousands of illegals every month, rising taxes and costs, I was losing my footing. So, my family came to "help", but really they played a dirty trick and tried to drown me - I escaped. I'm here now, still trying to fight the good fight. You guys should come here - see your new future.

Not only do Democrats have contempt for people, but what I think Rush missed was the horrific socialism that liberals are married to as well. They enact most of their laws not to raise people's living conditions or way of life, but to pull everybody down to the same, depressing, level that THEY think people should live at. When was the last time you heard a liberal say that they wanted to "Get people out of poverty" be finding them jobs to support themselves? Obama and his ilk always say that "They will focus like a lazer beam" on job creation, but they never do and only push to INCREASE benefits, such as welfare, food stamps, unemployment pay, and disability. And the few jobs that they DO create are only government jobs designed to help unions so that their members will keep voting Democratic in the next election. They WANT people dependent on government, because the more people that are dependent on government the more they will vote for politicians who keep the benefits flowing to them. It is a hideous circle of dependency, one that saps the moral of the individual and makes everyone wards of the state. The "Great Society" was started around 1965 under Johnson and it was supposed to eliminate poverty in this country. And how did that work out for us? All it has done is create generations of deadbeats who feel that their only hope is to have the government support them. And THAT is possibly the worst thing liberals ever did to this country. Turn it into a European-style welfare state.
When will the NRA organize a march on Washington? Are they afraid of drone strikes? What executive order will release the hostages in Algeria? Maybe that would be a bribe.
This is what Rush was saying 20 yrs ago. Leftists think you are stupid...that's why you need govt. All in his 2 books. Even now more than ever, he's right.

Think just for a moment what a massive Federal Government represents. Regulations by the millions. Government restrictions on just about everything you want to do.
Oh, I almost forgot. Taxes. Lots of taxes to pay for your government's intervention into your life.
The Founders are turning over in their graves right now if they are still watching. This is exactly what they tried to prevent. The Founders wanted citizens to be free of government as much as possible. They wanted government to play a minor role in people's lives. Their dream was lost in the pages of time. It was taken over by politicians who saw both power and profit, in pretending to be leaders of our country.
To this very day, the people who would lead us, who would lead this great nation to further greatness, are nothing but pretend leaders. Were they alive today, Jefferson and Hamilton and Adams and Franklin, would call them out, for what they are. Traitors to the Republic. Traitors to the principles this great nation was founded upon.
It is a travesty of justice, that they are able to escape criminal prosecution for the way they have lead this country, and are still leading it. Not leading it, would be a better choice of words.
Almost every one of them is a millionaire, if not a billionaire. Wealth goes with office. It is understood. Even though insider trading can result in prison terms for regular folks like us, insider trading for our leaders represents incredible wealth. Because they write the bills that become laws, and they know about it months in advance. Their money management experts move their money to make more money, based on their knowledge of what is coming down the pike.
Washington, D.C. is the ultimate example of both power and corruption, such as it has never been known on this planet in the entire history of the world as we know it.
Washington is the pinnacle of all corruption that ever existed, and Obama has put a fine edge on it.
Why does government of the people always end in corruption? Why are Politicians always such a miserable group of people? Why are ordinary working Americans ten times better, than the people they elect to lead them in Washington? Why is that, exactly?
Why is a guy like, "Joe the Plumber," better qualified than someone like Obama to lead us?
Here's why. Because he is just like us. He has the same dreams we have. He doesn't want to take any more from the system, than he gives. That is the true definition of a leader who is at the same time, a Patriot.
Fewer than one percent of the Politicians alive today fit that description. That is the problem we face.
Have you ever considered that there are probably millions of Americans among us who would be better leaders than the ones we have? Isn't that a sadness to you? I know it certainly is to me.
I see no hope on the immediate horizon for correcting the path we are on. If you have any constructive ideas in that direction, I would sure love to hear them.

One additional belief held by progressive is that the world would become a Utopia if they could just passed the right set of laws and regulations. To them, the very fact that someone is able to break one of their laws is proof positive that they need another law. They ask "How can we prevent this from happening?" and the sad truth is that you cannot.
Excellent. It is about CONTROL for liberals/fascists/marxists/communists/democRATS/statist/socialist. Slavery, caste system, wards of state is all that these folks want. It is good v. evil. Godly v. the Ungoldly. That is why these folks despise the Constitution because it is the very document to give freedom to blacks, freedom to women, freedom to impoverished folks. Under Common Law, the only person who has freedom is a wealthy white landowner. That means all other groups who are not have no rights and that is what these fools want us to become again.

Its not that the Government thinks you can't, the Government knows you can and that Government sees as a threat to Government. The Government wants you to think and feel you can't and Rush hits this as those D voters. I agree, D voters have submitted to Government. For the rest of U.S. the Government wants to force us to think and feel we can't and submit to Government. In that vein, Government will impose every obstacle they can in your path to prevent your success. In light of today's EO's its just more obstacles to prevent your success. In this case to reduce your individual right under the Constitution of/for self-preservation/life, security/liberty, and defense/pursuit of happiness thus reducing your ability or will to pose any challange to Government.
A totalitarian government doesn't want individuals who act as individuals. They want a dependent "collective".

Gun Free Zones are supposed to protect our children, and some politicians wish to strip us of our right to keep and bear arms. Those same politicians and their families are currently under the protection of armed Secret Service agents. If Gun Free Zones are sufficient protection for our children, then Gun Free Zones should be good enough for politicians."
