Jeez. This clip is so full of crap I almost don’t know where to begin. First Zakaria pronounces that Obama didn’t do anything wrong or different from any other president has done in the last 20 years by stating that Israel should accept the 1967 borders. Of course he ignores the letter that both Congress and the President sent to Israel in 2004 that stated:

In light of new realities on the ground, including already existing major Israeli population centers, it is unrealistic to expect that the outcome of final status negotiations will be a full and complete return to the armistice lines of 1949.

Also from what I understand, no President has ever stated before the world that Israel should go back to the 1967 borders ( or 1949 armistice lines). It was always something done behind the scenes but never as Obama did it. So yes it does indicate a change in US policy, especially given the letter that the US sent Israel over 7 years ago. But Zakaria ignores all of that.

Zakaria also doesn’t focus on the other incredibly troubling thing Obama said in his speech that will divide Israel in half for the creation of a Palestinian state, in essence destroying the state of Israel:

The United States believes that negotiations should result in two states, with permanent Palestinian borders with Israel, Jordan, and Egypt, and permanent Israeli borders with Palestine. The borders of Israel and Palestine should be based on the 1967 lines with mutually agreed swaps, so that secure and recognized borders are established for both states. The Palestinian people must have the right to govern themselves, and reach their potential, in a sovereign and contiguous state.

No let’s not discuss that. Netanyahu is the bogey man! Let’s talk about why he lectured Obama in a ‘bizarre tirade’ and why he is the one who doesn’t want peace. After all stoking tensions with America by lecturing Obama won’t help the peace process! He went on to say:

The real revelation, which has been picked up by many in the Israeli press, is that it shows finally that Netanyahu simply doesn’t want a deal. He always has a new objection, a new problem, a new delaying tactic because at core he has never believed that the Palestinians should have a state.

He goes back to some old footage of Netanyahu when he was 28 years old, well before he was ever Prime Minster, where he stated publicly that there should be no Palestinian state in Israel. But that was a long time ago and he’s since been Prime Minister twice. He has dealt with this problem from a leadership standpoint for a long time now and has apparently resigned his position on the issue to that of accepting a Palestinian state in Israel. He publicly stated it before Congress and the world just the other day and I think if they called him on it, they’d see he isn’t bluffing.

But to Zakaria this is just more reason that Netanyahu is the problem and not all the Muslim countries that want to destroy Israel. It’s not the coalition government of Hamas and Fatah that’s the problem. No, thousands of Iranian/Hamas rockets later it’s all Bibi’s fault.

But then what can we expect from a Muslim who clearly demonstrates his hatred of Israel in this clip. Way to go CNN for choosing diversity over the truth.

Fareed Zakaria: “Obama good. Netanyahu bad”.

To that, I say Mr Zakaria go f– yourself. You know, it’s about time people at the cable networks stop their love affair with the President and start thinking for themselves.

    • poljunkie

In hindsight I apologize for my bad language. I am just very tired of the spin coming from the left.

      • Jackyl

Sometimes anger is justified. As an emotion, it serves an important purpose in protecting the world from evil acts. Americans have been taught to feel guilty for expressing anger. Too much PC is not healthy!

My credit to TheRightScoop and every other blog that watches Fareed Zakaria, as it’s like someone going to the dentist or pulling jury duty for everyone else. It’s so obvious when someone is backed by Soros, as his minions are the only ones who can completely ignore EVERYTHING modern, and find something someone said 20 years ago to a select crowd… in a bathroom.. at 2am, then build a case around it. Media matters did the same a few weeks back by defending “Common,” with a 5 second video clip of a no namer FOX online journalist giving him a complement a few years ago, then claiming the FOX Supported Common 110%.

Glad to see your such a Capitalist Fareed, because if Soros wasn’t paying you so well, I’m sure you’d be anchoring in Cuba or Iran, or any other country that hates America for that matter.

Caroline Glick wrote a great article about Obama’s divisionary tactics. Here a few inserts:

“WHILE THE democratic model of leadership is certainly the model that the founders of most democratic societies have in mind when they establish their democratic orders, it is not the only leadership model that guides leaders in democratic societies. This week, as Netanyahu demonstrated the strength of the democratic leadership model, two other leadership models were also on prominent display. The first was demonstrated by Obama. The second was exhibited by opposition leader Tzipi Livni.

Obama’s leadership model is the model of subversive leadership. Subversive leaders in democracies do not tell their citizens where they wish to lead their societies. They hide their goals from their citizens, because they understand that their citizens do not share their goals. Then once they achieve their unspoken goals, they present their people with a fait accompli and announce that only they are competent to shepherd their societies through the radical shift they undertook behind the public’s back.

Before Obama, the clearest example of subversive leadership was Shimon Peres. As foreign minister under Yitzhak Rabin, Peres negotiated his deal with the PLO behind the public’s back, and behind Rabin’s back – and against their clear opposition. Then he presented the deal that no one supported as a fait accompli.

And as the architect of the deal that put the PLO terror forces on the outskirts of Israel’s major cities, Peres argued that only he could be trusted to implement the deal he had crafted.

Eighteen years and 2,000 Israeli terror victims later, Israel still hasn’t figured out how to extricate itself from his subversive legacy. And he is president.

Today, Obama recognizes that the American public doesn’t share his antipathy towards Israel. So as he adopts policies antithetical to Israel’s security, he waxes poetic about his commitment to Israel’s security. So far his policies have led to the near disintegration of Israel’s peace with Egypt, the establishment of a Fatah-Hamas unity government in the Palestinian Authority, and to Iran’s steady, all but unimpeded progress towards the atom bomb.

As for Livni, her model is leadership from behind. Although Obama’s advisers claimed that this is his model of leadership, it actually is Livni’s model. A leader who leads from behind is a follower. She sees where her voters are and she goes there.

In Livni’s case, her supporters are on the Left and their main spokesman is the media. Both the Left and the media oppose everything that Netanyahu does and everything he is. And so, as Livni sees things, her job as the head of the opposition is to give voice to their views.”

Right at the end the fool said what he really feels ” If the Palestinians were smart they would take Netanyahu up on that offer of citizenship in Israel, and then Bibi would wish he had been for a two state solution all along”
As all muslims know that given the population majority they will wipe out all the other religious and political groups.

    • Ozzie

So is he implying that they’re uncivil savages, that they’re bad for society, can’t be negotiated with, or all of the above?

Interesting how they talk about people that are “victims” and then every once in a while they leak out what they actually think of people. It happens all too often, but no one calls them on it.

    • Dailywalk365

I’m glad you picked up on that as I did too. These idiots in the media wish these sorts of chaotic scenarios to further their agenda on us all.

    • Las

Good catch there Mikhail. I’m so used to hearing their lies and cooked up apologetics for muslims that I only half hear what they say anymore. Their real bile spills out eventually but we are often so numb from the bullsheit that the deeper truths confessed in broad daylight can be missed.

  • Carolynn

OMG! I saw another clip from that show with Tom Friedman saying what Netanyahu should have done to get applause that had actions behind it.

I remember very vividly during the 08 campaign seeing footage of Obama getting off a plane and he was carrying Zakaria’s latest book. A reporter asked what he was reading and he held it up. I remember Zakaria on some CNN show being delighted he was reading his book. It would be great to find that footage because I have no doubts that Obama thinks like this man and is being tutored by him in the ways of the middle east.

Does anyone else get the feeling watching Zakaria that he is a spy or some nefarious figure who’s got the ear of the leader of the free world. Very scary.

    • http://www.crossworksme.com BigM

I believe he is one of his close advisors.

  • KenInMontana

I would pay money just to see Bibi hand Zakaria his backside on a platter in a one on one.

More simply put: muslim good, JOOO BAD.

So its BIBI that’s ‘stoking tensions’ with Israel’s “…strongest…” ally. So, talking about shooting down Israeli pilots to protect Persians isn’t stoking tensions?

    http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/133515

So its BIBI that’s the problem, when he objects to the Dalai Obama’s anti-intellectual, terrorist state enabling, power-brokering that would take precious land away from the already stripped-down Israel?

    http://64.19.142.10/www.nogw.com/images/greater_israel.gif

And BIBI’s the problem, when the Dalai Obama’s trying to sell out Israel’s greatest strategic deterrent against the ravaging, bloodthirsty, falafel-eating animals of the Arab muslim nations surrounding them?

    http://hotair.com/archives/2009/05/06/obama-to-force-israel-to-give-up-nukes/

    http://gatewaypundit.rightnetwork.com/2010/04/unreal-obama-administration-denies-visas-to-israeli-nuclear-scientists/

Its amazing how the Liberal Entertainment Complex insists on ignoring the Dalai Obama’s blatant track record as an anti-Semite, following in the footsteps of other vicious, slime covered anti-Semites as “reverends” Wright and Cone, both of whom are virulent, America-hating racists. If they hate America, the country that gave them everything, its nothing for them to hate another. He (Obama) can condemn Israel as deeply as he wants to, but its always Israel’s fault.

  • http://TheRightScoop poptoy194949

It seems that is makes absolutely no difference to which Muslim you are talking to History always changes to suit the argument at hand. These people are hell bent on having it there way come hell or high water. It may come to that unfortunately.

  • crosshr

even living in a great society and a high moral standard of freedom and living, this Fareed person of so called educated can’t see the light of day. A million muslim Arabs live in Isreal and enjoy the wonders of freedom, success and better standard of living that other millions of muslims dreamed about in their so called Paradaise. Fareed is Obama’s ear in his dealings with the Isreal / Middle East / Palestinian situation. Very telling from the way the regime handle this issue. On the other hand, why can’t the great minds of the Arabs or Muslim build and develop the Muslim region so they may live a prosperous and productive life in the Middle East.

The ultimate message that Zakaria is trying to get out here is “We should go ahead and let these two groups finally have an all out war with each other, so the New World Order which I work for can clean up the mess. Crap. Did I just say that out loud? I mean the Palestinians deserve their own state.”

  • Hai234

This guy is an idiot, I don’t know how these people get on the television. >_>

    • bernard

Freedom of speech, someone with an opinion that differs from yours? Isn’t it funny that guys like Fareed are far and few and the rest of the media is totally pro Israel? So one guy sides with the arab/muslim people and he should be silenced? Why are Jews so afraid of the tiniest opposition or question about anything?

I am sure I will be immediately labeled an anti semite for even attempting to defend freedom of speech – but that is the way it works.

In reality I am pro american and feel that we as americans are bending over backwards and risk OUR well being by giving Israel BILLIONS of free dollars every year and our support of Israel is a HUGE reason as to worldwide hatred of the US and why we have the Patriot Act and have to go through hell at the airport, constantly looking over our shoulders at the expense of pleasing a foreign nation.

Both sides need to come to our terms.

It would be cheaper, easier and better for the US if we just made friends and strengthened our relationships with the Arab nation – instead of favoring just one side, no?

How does that not make sense?

I would rather us give billions of dollars to ourselvs here in the US or at least poverty stricken underdeveloped nations who are starving.

Does Israel, 27th strongest economy on the planet really deserve all that one sided charity? A rhetorical question.

Not a rhetorical Question: Giving Israel all that money IS FOR WHAT? exactly and how is that better than keeping that money here in our borders to help us?

Why on evey internet forum regarding anything having to do with Israel is America the second class citizen and every one is pro israel? Did I stumpble on an Israeli forum and not a US forum? My apologies in advance.

      • The Right Scoop

This is the problem with people like you. You make everything about Freedom of Speech. That’s not what this is about. It’s about accuracy vs bias. There is a right and wrong here and it’s not relative. It is absolute and Fareed Zakaria’s refusal to accept the truth proves what his motivations are.

So stop making everything about Freedom of Speech. It makes you sound like an idiot.

      • Las

“So one guy sides with the arab/muslim people and he should be silenced?”
Questioning how someone got on the air is not the same thing as saying they should be removed from the air… either you think you are a mind reader, or you see something that wasn’t written here… in both cases meds can help.

        • bernard

You’re right – I assumed the orignal poster of “This guy is an idiot, I don’t know how these people get on the television.” meant something a little deeper than what was written on the surface which when boiled down not only is stupid but irrelevant.

He obviously got on TV along with thousands of other losers probably the same way. And there you have it.

Thanks to the both of you for moving the conversation along.

  • TxGold

I am tired of listening to these dopes and their worship of obama. Are they so out of touch that they really don’t know what an incredible failure he is? Netanyahu is twice (or more) the statesman obama is and knows what he’s doing. obama hasn’t a clue!

  • Rshill7

Fareed huh? Why? I think he should be recaptured.

This guy could qualify as an overfilled, self-contained, septic system.

Oh yeah! That’s how full of crap he is.

  • JD2020

It is sad to say but Obama is the first American president that is NOT the LEADER of the FREE world.

Netanyahu is the LEADER of the FREE world at this time in History.

It is truly sad how far has America fallen in 2 years.

CDC WARNS OF “ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE” WHILE HARASSING ANTI-JIHAD BLOGGERS
    MORE THREATS FROM CDC
    http://atlasshrugs2000.typepad.com/atlas_shrugs/

Barack Hussein Obama has appointed Muslims with ties to the Muslim Brotherhood to various positions in our government. This was sent to Pamela Gellar with Atlas Shrugs from a government computer at the CDC. It’s a big joke to them. Obama is a Muslim Brotherhood/Weather Underground operative.

This is why so many of us didn’t think the birther issue was/is something kooky or frivolous. Obama is extremely dangerous. We are trying to get someone to take that danger seriously. This is what is working at the CDC.
