FCC Commissioner: FCC is defying both Congress and the Courts

FCC Commissioner Robert McDowell says that the FCC’s decision today will put the FCC on a collision course with both Congress and the Courts considering they are defying both with their decision today. When asked if there was a positive or an upside to the decision today, that it might increase freedom of speech by forcing companies not to turn people away, he responded that there really are no upsides to this. He says that the internet is already open and it’s been that way since it was privatized in 1994 and that there are already ample laws on the books that protect consumers.
