Wow! That is powerful. I’m amazed this ran as recently as 1990. It took courage even then. I can hardly imagine the hysterical uproar if something like this ran today.

Wow. This was amazing to watch. Thank you Scoop. I sure wish more of these guys would do something like this again- PC or not, it’s a must see and hear message! God Bless these guys for speaking out against it abortion. It’s sad though that abortion is more promoted now than it was back then

I’ve heard that there are more Conservatives in the NFL than any other sport. Take Rodger Goodell out of the picture & what a league?!? Always amazes me how the noisy, ugly libs make us feel like we’re the whack-jobs & in the minority. It’s high time we quit listening to ‘em!

…. did anyone else wonder if Tim Tebow saw this growing up? I really admire these men for speaking out.
As someone else posted on another thread, there is no freedom without truth.
Thanks for posting, Dan. - Anonymous
I think Superbowl XXI was played before he was born.

You are probably right toon. I don’t pay much attention to football obviously

Nor do I. All I know about this game is that it must have been played the year after the Chicago Bears won Superbowl XX. Kind of a memorable time for me as I met a few players at practice in the months before the game.

Good Heavens!
Great find!
It would be nice if more role modelsl like this spoke out to help
their fans make the right decision - Anonymous
We need more of these men to stand up. They are out there.
Tim Tebow is one professional football player to have escaped the pre-birth grim reaper and we are all better for it.

Just so you know, the American Life League still exists with the same P.O. Box
American Life League

These men speaking up like this today would be persecuted and bullied, just like SGK, and the libs would do everything to ruin their careers. Very powerful, still today.

What’s wrong with abortion? Just ask any liberal. It’s no big deal to them. 1.3 million per year. Sickening.

It always amazes me that I’ve never heard a pro choice lib give thanks that their mother didn’t opt for an abortion.

Wow! What an incredible find!
One word: Unashamed!
These giants were unashamed in recognizing the evil nature of abortion licensed by Roe v. Wade!
I pray G-d give us more strong men like these to speak about life. And I thank G-d for giving Rick Santorum, who in these PC-controlled time, unashamedly walk the talk. And Sarah Palin too!

Wow, thank you Scoop. This is a great post!

The tide is turning for the pro-life movement. In my state of VA, our AG has passed a law that ALL abortion clinics must upgrade to hospital standards therefore ensuring that 17 of the 21 clinics in my state will CLOSE.
Unborn babies have the “right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness” just like the rest of us who were born. Half of all abortions are black babies which makes the left the real racists. God must weep that we’ve murdered 54 million babies since 1973. It makes me amazed at His grace and mercy.
Thank God for these famous football players who are good role models for the youth of America.

OH and that was a great ad. I’m going to bookmark this for future reference. Great job Scoop for this find!

Scoop, you da man.

They don’t call them Giants for nothing.

Wow. I don’t remember all the hooplah around this that we get about Tebow now.
Long before Tebowing arrived on the NFL scene, there was this pro-life video from 1990 featuring former Giants Mark Bavaro, George Martin, Phil McConkey, Phil Simms, Chris Godfrey, and Jim Burt speaking out strong against abortion. It’s called “Champions for Life” and is well worth the 9 minutes if you haven’t seen it before.
It’s not just a Super Bowl XXI highlight reel, or else as an Eagles fan I can assure you this is the last thing I would ever consider posting. The pro-life message kicks in around the 2:00 mark.
