Talking about casting aspersions on a whole group of people. This idiot Florida Democrat wants to compel you to take anger management courses every 10 years if you buy ammunition. You know, because we all know gun owners are all mass murders deep down inside and anger management courses will solve that problem.

Why don’t we just tell people to stop committing violence?

FOX NEWS – A Florida legislator wants anyone trying to buy ammunition to complete an anger management program first, in what critics say is the latest example of local lawmakers reaching for constitutionally-dubious solutions to the problem of gun violence.

The bill filed Saturday by state Sen. Audrey Gibson, D-Jacksonville, would require a three-day waiting period for the sale of any firearm and the sale of ammunition to anyone who has not completed anger management courses. The proposal would require ammo buyers to take the anger management courses every 10 years.

“This is not about guns,” Gibson said. “This is about ammunition and not only for the safety of the general community, but also for the safety of law enforcement.”

Gibson said she’s concerned with citizens stockpiling ammunition, potentially creating dangerous situations should those individuals ever come in contact with law enforcement agencies or criminals.

“It’s about getting people to think, really, about how much ammunition they need,” Gibson said. “It’s a step, I think, in a safer direction. It’s about getting people to think before they buy.”

Gibson insisted the bill is not “accusatory” toward gun and ammunition owners, but rather an effort to improve the safety of her community. She recalled the death of a Jacksonville man, Jordan Davis, 17, who was fatally shot during a confrontation with another man in November. Michael David Dunn, 46, of Satellite Beach, has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder in the case.

Good

You need to score at least 90% on a test and there are NO lower standards based on race like there is on so many other things.

This would keep most blacks from passing and being able to get more ammo

Lunacy....and that's all I have to say about her idea.

On a similar note, I was having a discussion recently with a coworker, that migrated toward gun talk, and she seemed to think everyone should have to get a mental evaluation, or something to that effect, before they can get a gun. I briefly disagreed, because we were at work and there was no time for a big debate.

Too many people misunderstand, or simply have no idea, what 'inalienable' means. Allowing another person to decide your rights (or 'needs' as the control freaks call it) for you, sets a slippery slope to bondage and slavery.

I made a terrible mistake and read what she said. Now I've lost 3 points off my IQ and feel a panic attack coming on. I always get panic attacks when I'm around one of the really stupid ones. This little demon in Jax, FL qualifies easily.

How much ammunition do I need, Sen. Gibson? I need as much as can prevent the government from taking my guns. I like having a gun available in my house to assist my family in defending against intruders. But that is not the reason for owning a gun. It was not the reason why I purchased any of my guns. That just happens to be a positive result of me owning a gun. I purchased my gun to protect my family and property against you, Sen. Gibson, and the rest of the government, as our Constitution affords.

"A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state...". My family is a well regulated militia trained to protect our lives and property should tyranny or invasion confront us.

If you and the rest of the government stays out of our lives then we don't have a problem.

Dear Florida State Sen. Audrey Gibson, D-Jacksonville,

In response to your believing that all gun owners should attend anger management, and “It’s about getting people to think, really, about how much ammunition they need" type thinking, hear this:

1. As far as you attempting to determine the definition of the word, "need", with the increase of black-on-white, and black-on-senior-citizen crimes in this country, I have a need to ensure that I maintain enough ammunition to defend my home and my person from such attacks, which you desire to deny me, and thereby, make me vulnerable to such attacks.

2. There can be no inclusion of anger management driectives towards the gun owner population of this country, as long as one 'flash-mob' exists, to enact violence upon senior citizens in this country.

So, my dear Florida State Senator, my end advice to you?

STICK IT!

I will go for that. In addition to it. I think Voter ID should be enforced nationwide, and before you go vote for your favorite Statists. You should have to take a psych exam and an IQ test.

You know what WOULD make me angry? Having to take mandatory anger management classes because some beauracrat thinks it will prevent me from going on a killing spree. And you don't need a stockpile of ammunition to hurt people either. I can't believe the retarded remarkes that are coming out of the left about guns these days.

The only thing people should be "required" to take is target practice lessons. Make people better shots and they will always hit what they're aiming for. That is the best form of gun "control" there is.

Must take anger management courses?

I shall do no such thing. My unalienable individual rights don't come with that qualifier.

If the Left can say that anger management courses are a requirement before buying ammunition, then it opens the door to them saying that before you're allowed to exercise your unalienable individual right to the pursuit of happiness, you have to take courses in "Being charitable to your fellow man", and that if you didn't get a high enough grade in the end exam (by basically proving that your sole desire is to live for others only) that you wouldn't be allowed to exercise that unalienable individual right. The Left would argue that this requirement be in there "to temper man's innate evil urge to engage solely in his self-interest; to foster a sense of social responsibility in man".

Basically, the Left's sole aim is to convince you that "unalienable does not mean unalienable"; that A is not A; that A can be whatever you want it to be; that things are not what they are; that there is no such thing as an objective reality; that anything goes.

It's so utterly insidious of them.

She voted nay on CS HB 71 - Florida Unborn Victims of Violence Act

http://votesmart.org/bill/4241/13217/30765/florida-unborn-victims-of-violence-act#.UTgkWDdOcaM

Highlights:

-Changes the term "viable fetus" to "unborn child," which is defined with regards to homicide laws as a human at any stage of development within the womb (Sec. 2). -Defines murder of an unborn child as the killing of an unborn child by injury to the mother, regardless of whether the person committing the offense knew the victim was pregnant or intended to harm the unborn child (Sec. 3).

Seriously, we need a Constitutional amendment that those running for office need to take a test and pass it to show they have knowledge of the Constitution and Bill of Rights. They need background checks and psychological exams. They also need drug tests.

By the way, you should not have a vote if you pay no taxes. You are not participating or contributing to the country, and you should not be able to vote. Before the founding of this country, you couldn't vote if you didn't own land. Now, it needs to be taken away if you pay no taxes.

“This is not about guns,” Gibson said. “This is about ammunition and not only for the safety of the general community, but also for the safety of law enforcement.”

So, the narrative now is swinging to "guns don't kill people, bullets kill people". How can it NOT be about guns, when you're talking about ammo? It's nice to know they are losing this war on the 2nd Amendment.

Perhaps, instead of people taking anger management courses in order to buy ammo, politicians are forced to take a Constitution test before they pass any frivolous laws.

Another infringement.

Of course it is probably true that many people buying ammo are mad at their government. No amount of anger management classes is going to change that. Regime change would soothe that anger.

It's ironic that the actions of the Libs to control/seize firearms is creating record sales of firearms and ammo. Ha-ha.
