Expect more suicides if obama get's re-elected. The country has lost hope and if we don't win the country back, this will just be the beginning.

Suspected voter fraud in Palm Beach Florida
I'm actually calling BS on Shep Smith today, based on the quotes below. As I said, I saw the incident, but the tv was muted because I was on the phone and heard none of this. If he was truly scared and nervous about what was going to happen, he would have cut away, and reported the rest of the news. Fox spends entirely too much time on these high speed chases all over the country, and it's got to be all about ratings. They all KNOW the potential for tragedy is very high, yet they stay glued to it till the end, frequently on split screen, and it's usually during Shep's shows. Well, he finally got to see the tragic ending he's obviously been waiting for so he could have another histrionic meltdown on national tv like he did after Katrina. Maybe now, the policy at Fox will be to stop airing all these chases. They are not national news.
"Smith was narrating the video and clearly had his doubts about what was being shown from the moment the man stopped the car. "This scares me," he said.
"You wait for the end of these things and you worry about how they may end up," he said. "This makes me a little nervous, I got to tell you. A little nervous."
After the man shot himself, Fox's picture quickly cut to Smith, who was shouting "get off, get off, get off, get off."
They also "accidently" showed a video of Richard Speck nude from the waist up without pixelating out his breasts. Makes me wonder.
Rarely watch Fox's flaming liberal Shep, but I saw the suicide go down during a Ryder Cup time out. Couldn't have happened to a better fool than Shep... got what he deserved for covering the low-life social crap like he does.
Sometimes today's media just gives you too much information. I don't really think we need to watch somebody blow their brains out on live TV. My cable TV has hundreds of channels on it and I'm finding that I'm watching less and less TV these days. Maybe this is why.
Please. Fox has shown far worse on SONS OF ANARCHY, people. This happened at a distance. I had to watch it thrice just to see what the guy was doing (d@mn my old eyes!).
I'm having a hard time really caring about this "story." The guy was clearly breaking the law in the lead-up to the tragic moment. Unless you folks know more than I do about this guy (was he on drugs? does he have a family? how many others did he hurt?), I don't understand what all the fuss is about.
Clearly, if he WAS on drugs, he chose to take 'em, didn't he?
I mean ... I hate to sound heartless, sure, but are you more upset with the guy who did wrong OR with Fox for making an accident by airing it? This seems small to me, but no man is an island.
Many people have life issues that pile upon over time and become burdensome resulting in self solution.
I was viewing Sheppard Smith when the guy turned off the highway into the wash area and began to rummage in the vehicle for the weapon.
The rest is a sad visual event of a desperate man. I prayed to GOD for his sole to take.
If somebody wants a fairly good biblical insight explanation to this guy... the cannibal dude in Florida... and others that have been happening... there are a couple of good Christian resources for some Spiritual Warfare that I can suggest...

L.A. Marzulli, Russ Dizdar, PID Radio... Good folks... good listening.

Do they really need to show "cop" footage on the news?
It's pure tabloid fodder.
Mind, once in a while the tabloids are fun to peek at. Especially the British ones.
But not on a real news program.
Besides, you know they are busy as h*ll, NOT reporting on the mayhem and violence committed by certain members of the public.
Although I would not like to have seen this, I don't see the reason for the newscaster's reaction. They put this on the air for the spectacle, and when something does happen, all of a sudden it's wrong to air. Stuff like this should be on the news, that's what the news is for, not for opinion and misleading the people with a narrative.
What God can do in the life of even the least of us!

The Lord is the only hope for this dark world.
won't show vid out of respect to the family?! WHAT! What about respect to the victim? Why is there this need to protect criminals fate/ image/ family? BTW what he did was a cowards way out. Do the crime do the time!
come on people its not like it was a close up to many of you are making a big deal out of nothing. he plugged himself and we didnt see anything very close. either way he was going to die he had already shot at cops you actually think they would let him shoot at them again? get over it they choose the life of crime and he paid the price by himself
I'm with it az. This didn't bother me at all. Driving like a mad man on streets where innocent people commute should be a capitol crime anyway. This was a drone, a cull and he's gone.
Want your heart to break? Watch videos where Srians rebels, who are actauly al queda, Saudi Arabians Iranians and every other baboon with an opposing thumb is shootinting at Syrain soldiers. Watch soe of those old vids' of WWII where an American B-17 or P-47 is shot down or a marine slumps over on his weapon at Iwo Jima.
That hurts.
Criminals dying on TV should be a reality show.
I think you wll have some that say show it, some that will say don't. Each side has good points.
For me I watch Fox and sometimes my kids will come down stairs to ask me something and I wouldn't want that on at the same time for them to see it. This is mostly do to age, ya at some point it is fine to show it. But my son is at an age to see what happen, but not fully get it and regardless of how I try to explan what he saw. He will let it foster and bug him for sometime. He is not at the age to approperly process that type of grapchic display. Going to a funeral and seeing somone is dead is much different then someone killing them self live!!!!
If this was NBC, instead of hearing an apology the video would have been doctored to show Dick Cheney shooting the poor man...
More like, an MSNBC anchorman somewhere would type the suicide victim's name into Google and then come on air with a statement saying 'Well, I've been doing some *research* and I believe he was a member of the Arizona Tea Party..."
-_-
(Remember that?)
I saw it happen. I had the sound off because I was on the phone w/my best friend in Ca. The footage was from a chopper so it was far away, the guy ran, put a gun to his head, and the next thing we saw was him falling. No blood, no guts.
I was watching Fox when they broadcast this. Supposedly the delay did not work. Either way, it was not graphic. I have mixed feelings on this. I won't have any bad dreams tonight as a result of seeing it. This guy was on something...some sort of drugs. You could tell by the way he was behaving just before he did himself in.
This isn't the first time they captured someone being shot on live tv. Remember that hostage situation at that strip mall. Guy holding the lady in the parking lot and somehow got away from him and the cops shot him? The famous LA bank robbery we saw the guy take his life in the end.
If this guy shot at cops and fatally wounded them, and then if he took his own life, then it saved others cops the time and bullet to take him down.
I never want to be too sensitized by things like this. But this guy was not exactly just 'speeding' along.
He was an free American making a choice for himself very unlike Americans who died, hands tied, throats sawed through by a baboon with a steak knife.
Look and I know it's a sad deal and no we don't know what made him do it? I can't imagine the carnage he could have created in that car going at those speeds and taking out lives along the way.
It looked like the engine had blown well before he got off the road, so we all knew it was going to end soon. Didn't see the suicide coming, but knew it was over.
As today's generation likes to say "Epic fail". I'm no fan of Shep Smith, but I do feel bad for him. He totally didn't see that coming.
They "see it coming" every time they air hours of these car chases. Any one of them could end up being a bloody mess, yet they continue to air them. This is the first one that's ended badly, but they do it for the ratings. The media mantra is "if it bleeds, it leads."
Just so there's no confusion I was referring to Fox News' handling of the situation, not the life of this young man.
There is NEVER EVER a time in life where there isn't a way out or there is no hope for tomorrow. And trust me, I know personally.
This is so sad.
I saw it live today, and it is terribly sad as you say stage9. We cannot know what was in this man's heart or mind, we can only hope that he is in the Lord's presence now. Praying for his soul.
