I never used Groupon, and now I never will: groupon has stopped all current and future gun-related deals.

I could not find a way to cancel my account so I contacted Customer support. Here is the link:

https://www.groupon.com/support

I told them it is their choice to do this in a free market and my choice not to do business with a company that succumb to government pressure because that is the beginning of the end of free enterprise.

Thanks again for the heads-up.

Thank you! I'm hoping Scoop might pick this up and make a topic of it so the word can be spread better. This is already Yesterdays' "open thread" I guess if he does not, I can always post it again in the next open thread if I'm around still when he opens it. Have a good day my friend!

The pocketbook is all these people understand. If they want to make everything about liberal ideology we'll let them know what ours is by taking our dollars elsewhere.

She was too slow at this as even I, with one bad eye, never lost the ball. Some cats can learn tricks... once growing up we had a cat that rolled over, shook paws, and a few other things on command. This cat is "cool" like that.

Tina Turner renounces her US Citizen ship and turns in passport to live in Switzerland.

As much as I would like to say it is because of Obama- it's mostly due to her long time boy friend, and the tax structure.

A line was crossed Anonymous hijacks the Federal Government website with warning related to persecution and death of Aaron Swartz.

Citizens of the world,

Anonymous has observed for some time now the trajectory of justice in the United States with growing concern. We have marked the departure of this system from the noble ideals in which it was born and enshrined. We have seen the erosion of due process, the dilution of constitutional rights, the usurpation of the rightful authority of courts by the "discretion" or prosecutors. We have seen how the law is wielded less and less to uphold justice, and more and more to exercise control, authority and power in the interests of oppression or personal gain."http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WaPni5O2YyI&feature=player_embedded#!

The Federal prosecutor was going to give Swartz 30 years for downloading some pdfs from a university, which itself chose not to ask for prosecution.

It appears that via the U.S. government website, Anonymous had distributed encrypted government files and left a statement on the website that de-encryption keys would be publicly released (thus releasing the as-yet unkonwn information held on the stolen files) if the U.S. government did not comply with Anonymous' ultimatum demands for legal reform.

The internet community has been in love with the Hussein regime from the beginning. I wonder if the Feds were using Swartz to provoke an attack like this as an excuse for an internet crack down.

GUESSING GAME - Who said this?

“I think that I’m a better speechwriter than my speechwriters. I know more about policies on any particular issue than my policy directors. ... I’m a better political director than my political director.”

Just don't be an old illegal immigrant. The death panels don't care about no ethnicity stuff.

Just the federal and state income tax savings make it a well-paying opportunity!  Toss in those fringes you mention (college scholarships, food stamps and free health care) and you can write your own ticket :)  I bet they also qualify and are receiving gov't funded small business loans, which are never paid back.

'and I'm careful to make sure my beverage is well away from the computer.....' - Orangeone

Yeah, I learned that lesson the hard way. Boy those keys on the keyboard sure are tough to clean out. Taking the keys out to clean means I have to remember my QWERTY, otherwise my comments end up sounding much like smy pthwr kivwral (err, I mean any other liberal).

We do team up well together on important topics don't we....I would LOVE to have breakfast and I'd be happy to share my story of asking my Congress critters how I could pay for college....left them speechless

I so enjoy learning from you and White dealing with trolls :) and I'm careful to make sure my beverage is well away from the computer.....

Nukeman60

First of all, Orangeone, I think we get on the computer at the same time, as I see your comment was only 2 minutes prior to my response. Perhaps, we should have breakfast together. We could compare study notes for our illegal immigration classes. :)

As to that topic, I agree with your points. I was thinking that the government would even pay for my schooling. Seems like all I would have to learn is 1) how to cross a border without being seen, 2) how to say I don't have a driver's license in Spanish, and 3) where my local ICE office is located.

A few trips to the tanning booth and a little hair dye and I'd be in business.

The Lesson in the Betrayal of Sarah Palin

by Lloyd Marcus on January 21, 2013

Rush Limbaugh on his radio show discussed an article which stated that there is no respected voice in the national arena articulating Conservatism. Such an advocate for Conservatism is crucial to reversing the direction of America as Obama drives us toward socialism while low-info voters gleefully sing Kumbaya in the backseat.

Well excuse me for pointing out the obvious, but we had an extraordinary advocate for Conservatism and look what happened to her. Judas on our side betrayed her – sold her reputation for 30 seconds of fame and favor with the media.

Even now, folks on our side are still beating up on Sarah Palin saying – Palin has lost her appeal – Palin is unelectable – Palin wasn’t smart enough – Palin wasn’t prepared and etc. So, this is how we treat our heroes.

Okay, I've owned cats all my life, so I think I can decipher what this one is thinking.

"This is getting boring. Every day you do these stupid human tricks and then you pet me for 10 minutes - and right after I bathed, too! Now go and get me some food and don't even think of sitting in my favorite chair 'cause I will find you and I will use the claws."

I don't own cats but my best friend does and she will certainly relate to this video and your comment. lol
