As you may have guessed by my lack of posting on this issue, I could care less about Lance Armstrong. Never was a fan and find it to be a fairly boring story. But given it’s extreme amount of exposure over the last few days, I thought I’d post it in case any of you want to discuss it…or anything else for that matter.

If you agree with me about Lance Armstrong and you like kitties, you might find this video more interesting.

It's "I COULDN'T care less", not I COULD care less. Why is it that full-grown adults can't get that right. Analyze the phrase and think about WHAT you are saying instead just puking up words.

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You! Same for the Teo'd news bit ... are whatever it's called.

It's private, I can't watch it.

I watched his interview Friday night. I could never stand the guy, just something about him. Now I know why. He lies with ease and believes his lies too. A bad combination for someone looking for sympathy. He said he didn't want to throw other people under the bus, and then happily went there. What a sleaze.

Dope is for dopes. Many who tried to get into the hall of fame have failed for using enhancement drugs....Pete Rose, Sam Sosa, Roger Clemens, Lance Armstrong, and a number of others. Sickening, because they are SUPPOSED to be role models, none left except for a miniscule percentage of athletes like Tim Tebow.

Not going to watch the video. I was skeptically supporting Armstrong through the years, but his latest "I might admit to the charges" bullcrap immediately gained my disrespect. He's a liar, a thug, a cheater, and a scammer. Go to hell Armstrong. I hope you lose every championship you ever won.

This is simply more slight of hand & smoke and mirrors by the media to help get attention from this Administration's blunders and assault on Americans. I'm appalled to think Benghazi, Fast & furious and 4 years of blatant miscues in the Middle East are put in the hamper to discuss another athlete doper. A cyclist for cryin' out loud!

Well - I definitely preferred the kittie video!

In fact, I didn't watch the LA one, there's been far too much about his 'confession', even over here. Not interested in drug cheats and bullies.

But as it's an OT, and following the kitties, here's something you might find interesting - I love it, for reasons which will be obvious once you've watched it:

Just one media distraction after the other; anything to keep people's minds occupied while the destruction of our country is being carried out.

In 2010 there were 189,574 terminations in England and Wales, an eight per cent increase in the past decade.

A Department of Health spokesman said: "Abortion based on sex selection is illegal and is morally wrong. UK birth ratios are within normal limits. However, we continue to closely monitor ratios and we are in the process of analysing preliminary data. If anyone has evidence of sex selection abortions being performed in specific cases, we will refer to the police to investigate.

"Identifying the gender of aborted foetuses raises serious ethical and clinical issues. We absolutely have no plans to introduce such a practice."

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/politics/9811202/MPs-call-for-doctors-to-record-the-sex-of-aborted-foetuses.html

Morally wrong to abort a baby based on sex but not morally wrong to abort in the first place?

Identifying the gender of aborted babies raises serious ethical questions but aborting them doesn't?

Wow just wow!

Saturday 1/19/13 is Gun Appreciation Day (buy guns & ammo, shoot at range and/or otherwise support retailers in our firearms industries); Headlights on For Troops tomorrow too, and there are 2nd Amendment rallies at state capitols (ours is at noon, not sure of other states, with 700 attendees expected).

Oh the baby kitties :) My Ragdoll will pull her water bowl into proper position if I don't reset it just perfect on her elevated tray. And when she is really mad she will knock one metal water bowl into the other because she knows I will come and clean up the mess.

There are a lot of people with "character" flaws: Lance, Tiger Woods, OJ Simpson, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bill Clinton, etc. Maybe once they recognize, realize and openly confess their wrong-doings, they can try and get back to where they belong in life's journey. I believe anything is possible if one tries hard enough.

I never cared about Lance Armstrong either, but I know he was a role model for a lot of people, and a huge fundraiser for very worthy causes. I am very angry at this man for being so incredibly stupid in his life and then lying about it for years. Fooling people and attacking people who legitimately accused him. Plenty of athletes doped and have cheated through the years, and you know what? I get it. I could have forgiven anybody who just admitted the truth and then used that experience to educate others. But this guy? He has lied for years and lied well. He fooled a lot of people. He deserves nothing going forward.

People cheating in sports is not boring-it's dishonest. Regardless of whether one likes the sport or not, they are doing it in baseball and other sports in addition to having felons play the game after being convicted of dog fighting, assault, DUI's, drugs and God knows what else. If people continue to watch, they are helping pay the advertising that supports this behavior.

Frankly, I could dope until Jesus comes again and I'm pretty sure I would never win the Tour de France. So Armstrong clearly has athletic and mental aptitude.

But he's another narcissist in our "culture of celebrity," an ever-growing list, sadly. I am sorry for those cyclists who were cheated from rightfully winning titles; I'm a bit chagrined that he's yet one more emblem of a mediocre America in decline.

But watching Oprah the Kingmaker interview Lance Armstrong? Um, no.

davienne

nope dont give a crap... our country is in the toilet and that junkie is the least of our worries

wodiej
wodiej

we better give a crap because people like Armstrong are WHY this country is in the toilet. We support sports that cater to the whims of these athletes who make millions of dollars and look the other way when they get caught doing something dishonest, cruel and illegal. But people love their sports so they brush it aside. We can't say it's ok in one example but not another.

As a country we have gotten away from right and wrong an until we begin to stand up for it not just w words but actions too, things will not get better.

If Oprah really wanted to increase her viewers she should have Obama on and hit him with some hard questions on

1 Fast & Furious

2 Bengahzi

3 Egypt

4 busted Green energy companies

5 gun control

I know I'd be willing to see him being asked about these things. Pipe dream, I'm sure.

Yep, dont forget his stint with dating ultra liberal Sheryl Crowl. Uggh.

But…then…he dumped her when she was diagnosed with breast cancer….It was going to be too much of a "distraction" for his career.

I don't get the big deal about Armstrong, it's small potatoes when you compare it to Odumbo, the choom man, making it to the White House for a second term of utter destruction! However, I LOVE the kitties! Thanks for the much needed smile, Scoop!

Didn't watch the Oprah interview. I won't watch her show or channel….

As far as Lance goes, we watched the Tour during the years he rode. I have to say, I used to like the guy from Germany Jan Ullrich, that Lance always used to edge out.

Lance is a disappointment to us.

… for him to come forward now, makes me think he has some other agenda. He’s not doing this to be free of wrongdoing, He is doing this to self promote and advance his role in the athletic world. He is trying to get back into the fold and to be able to race again in other arenas he had to craft some sort of admission and pay a small amount of restitution.

You're a cheat. Lance.
