Full Interview: Herman Cain on Piers Morgan Tonight

Herman Cain was on with Piers Morgan tonight for the full hour. As you could probably imagine, he was asked the questions about brainwashing and Muslims and I think he did fine. But they also dove into other areas of his life that shed more light on who he is as a man.

They also discussed homosexuality and abortion, and on the topic of abortion, Cain, who believes in life in all instances was asked that if someone in his family, say a granddaughter was raped – would he want her to raise that child. That’s when Cain left me a bit confused. He suggested that it’s not the government’s job to make that decision, but only the family’s decision. He insisted that on a topic so sensitive, that it should be the mother’s decision. That leaves me wondering if he believes abortion is OK for someone else, just not him.

Outside of that last bit which I think he’ll have to clarify, I’d say he did quite well.

Here’s the full 40 minute interview:

UPDATE: This abortion issue with Cain has gotten really confusing. What he said in the interview above is similar to what he said on Stossel the other day. He says he doesn’t believe abortion should be legal but then says it’s not the government’s choice or something. He kinda clears it up at the end of this segment, but he doesn’t seem to understand why Stossel is confused:

I’m not trying to make a big deal out of this, but he sounds like he is on both sides of the issue in the way that he is answering the questions. I just want a clear, consistent answer.
