Netanyahu spoke for 40 minutes before the UN today in what was a great speech. He said it’s time to stop negotiating about negotiations and toward the end of the speech he even calls on President Abbas to meet with him while he’s at the UN since they are in the same building, and work towards peace:

He will also be on Greta tonight.

I've actually heard of that! I'll try it when I can- thanks! I've been playing around with greek and latin on the computer, a lot of the words I already knew the root words, but it's interesting to know more of them and teach the boy about them too. :-)

You can't negotiate with Abbas he is not the decision maker. He is an empty suit.

I love PM Netanyahu! What a passionate, intelligent and solid speaker and defender of freedom.... Oh where was his teleprompter?

It's funny you talk about that. I used to love everything about that time, because I was too little to remember it. Loved the music and style of clothes etc., but when I grew up and got sense in my head, I started hearing the words in some of those songs, and all I could picture anymore were the bill ayers types, the manson family and the disrespect the guys coming back from Vietnam got. I still like some of what came out of that era, but for the most part- I hate seeing it repeated by those same who once chanted "never trust the govment man... never trust anyone over 30."

Cool! There are quite a few of them we see on the road down here- the bugs and the buses. Some day hopefully we can afford to get a fixer up that he and his dad can work on and he can drive it :-D

I had an inclination based on revelations/the koran that I believed this before you brought this to my attention, as much as I've read genesis its a little embarrassing that I didn't know this one. Especially back when I was researching end times stuff pretty thoroughly, but never thought to look to abraham's early conversations for it. If you look at how the Anti-Christ is portrayed in Revelations, and how the 12th Imam is described in the Koran they are eerily similar. Combining with the effort to create Chrislam to replace both Christianity and Islam to "attempt to create world peace" as that movement states. It all points to it. Wars, rumors of wars, peace deals with Israel guaranteed by the west. Its all quite...quite.

Wow, thanks for posting this which I have absolutely missed. 12 rulers? 12 Imams! A great nation doomed for all of eternity to be at war with its brother. This cements even further into the 12th Imam being the anti-christ.

I think unfortunately most have followed after Mohammud for so long, they seem to have forgotten :-(

Its not so much that they have forgotten, I believe that in combination of verse 21 with that verse it means that Isaac and Ishmael's decendants would be powerful, but always against each other. When combined with 12 rulers with 12 Imams in the koran and the language describing the 12th Imam and the anti-christ in each it lays it out that they will be at war until the end of time.

did you ever hear that Iranian broadcast (or read the transcripts) of the broadcast talking about the appearance of the imam mahdi? I did a blog post about it years ago, and it gave me shivers when I read the whole thing. The 12th Imam and Antichrist. They are one in the same.

My son would have loved it that you had one of those! He's always loved VWs and Buses since I got him the original Herbie movies

In one of our home school co ops last year, I taught the kids the whole Book of Esther. It's one of my favorite stories- and the kids, even those who already knew it, loved it as well. We did it on the day of Purim, so we read it the way Jewish folks read it to their kids, had noise makers and boo'd every time Hamman was mentioned, and we made cookies called Hamman's Ears. It was so special. I agree Benjamin Netanyahu could be for such a time as Esther was. Thanks C_Hippie, for reminding me of that!

I was a lousy reader in elementary school- at least when we had to read out loud. Left on my own I could read pretty well. I'm doing a little bit of phonics with my son now, and he's a pretty good reader for 5th grade, but some of the words which I don't get how to do "sound it out" because they are spelled NOTHING like they sound LOL.

Huked on fonix werks for me! Thanks, but I think I stole it from Levin or Rush or someone. It's easier to pronounce and spell this way, so I go with it :-)

Israel is desperate for peace. They will do anything to achieve it, even if it seems unbelieveable to them- they sincerily believe it can happen because of the fact they want it so badly.

AmericanborninCanada

I was just thinking about the prophecies where Israel will some day make a pact with Antichrist. Israel is so ripe for wanting peace.... it is not surprising in the least that some day they will sign a covanent just for such want of peace.

This is the nation which cut the Queen's speech on a Christmas eve to broadcast Amadinerjacket. It wouldn't surprise me in the least that the BBC would cut Netanyahu's speech.

G*d Bless you Bibi, Sir! I love how he points out what he called the "theater of the absurd" which is the UN. This nation, this man has been treated evily and dispicably by so many for so long. Shoot, even I read today that Slick Willie is saying the peace process has stalled because of Netanyahu! I could go on and on as I always do, but I won't.

Thank you Sir,for being so gracious in the face of so many enemies. You are the epitome of David, in Psalm 23 when he says, The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever

Listen to the whole speech and was sadden,Netanyahu BEGGING for peace. For over half a century,Israel acted like a bully in the region, treating palestinians like dirt.I've seen the first palestinians boys throwing rocks at them and for a reason. The hatred is so anchored that the palestinians made some allies,Lebanon,Iran,Syria,Egypt and now became the bully. What next?Whith president zero I feel hopeless

I am sure you are one of those people who reacts so ardently when Israel does anything to defend itself but somehow justifies Suicide bombers Blowing up pizzerias and buses full of innocent Israelis or dancing around the streets on September eleventh when 3,000 innocent Americans were slaughtered. Text books in Palestinian schools teach kindergarteners to hate Jews, while Israel gives Arabs the right to be represented in parliament, and access to the former holiest site in Judaism, the temple mount. So which is the 'society of hatred'?

PS about seventy five percent of Arabs living in Israel say they'd rather live there than any Arab state.

AmericanborninCanada

Use your brain please. Israel has never been the bully- they are ALWAYS provoked first. "Palestinian"s have cartoons teaching the children to hate and kill Jews for crying out loud. Please learn.
