I have seen her work in Alaska and she does not need polls to tell her what she can or can not accomplish. She has her own time line and she listens to the spirit not a bunch of political operatives.
She did a great job on this speech and the one on the third. I am a hometown supporter from Wasilla, Alaska and I have met her several times, she knows how to get America back on the right track. If any Palin fans come to Alaska you can learn more about her and her hometown by taking the Wasilla Tour with Alaska Life & Glacier Tours.
Yes momandem, she did, and thanks. Just wonder if Brian knows that! And she didn't just say it behind closed doors either. Must be some of that "civil discourse" The One speaks about, ya think?
Absolutely. I think her experience with "the pros" of the McCain campaign sealed her attitude towards that. I'm sure a conversation around her dinner table in the aftermath included a commitment to run on her own terms with as few handlers as possible.
Brian,
Do you even know where the "Go to hell" phrase was originally said or by who? But for Palin to state "We won’t say: “No, you go to hell.” No, we won’t say that." is inappropriate? What am I missing here? More accurately, what are you missing?

Palin 2012 baby. It's gonna happen and watching the marxists' heads explode will be incredible.
"September 17th is Constitution Day"
Tammy Bruce has the same hunch. I will not speculate. However, I love a good mystery wondering what she's going to do, and how she's going to do it.
☺
Here's one piece of evidence. A little blury, but is that not Mitt at the mic?

In all fairness, even Sarah today in this speech acknowledged vocally other candidate signs while she was speaking too. I looked at the photos, and it appears to be a single Ron Paul sign off to her right, and appears to be the sign she was looking at when she mentioned it. The fact that she mentioned it at all is enlightening of her as well.
Pretty sure Sarah will pick a conservative as her running mate.
That eliminates Christie on the spot.
Also sure she won't choose someone who fought the United States government to keep them from deporting a known Hamas terrorist, or someone who appointed a Justice who not only represented Gitmo terrorists, but wants Sharia as the law of the land.
That too would eliminate Chris Christie. He needs to be on the terror watch list, not any VP list.
Sorry, but Rick Perry is one of the corrupt crony capitalists she is hammering. Perry already has his dirty tricks squad out after. People assume these two are good friends, they are not.
Too many honest people she can choose to be her VP. Rick Perry is the sort of corrupt politician she ran out of office in Alaska.
I don't believe the polls either. It is an interesting exercise to see how the establishment, media, and pollsters treated Reagan and run that against how they treat Palin. We in the Republican party keep decrying that we can't find another leader like Reagan again, but we must not forget that he didn't come out of the establishment elite, and neither will the next great leader.
I agree. I think she also took some slight off-handed shots at tea parties who are protesting other tea parties because of having Romney speak. She said more than once that we should focus on the larger issues and stand united. I agree with her. If the Tea Party movement wants to continue to have a wide demographic, they are going to need to focus on the basics and not get tied up in who's letting who speak.
I consider myself a Tea Partier, and for the record, Romney isn't even in my top 5 of people I would like to see win the primary. However, if he has ideas that support what the tea party is pushing, then good for him and good for us.
Yes. This stood out to me as well. There is a lot of originalism/classic republicanism expressed in this speech. It is very pleasing to hear. She's dusted it off shined it up, and is displaying it with conviction, and American pride. She's also the only legitimate messenger to carry it IMO, and the only trusted leader who I feel can begin this process of what has been so neglected, and give it a soild footing. But the most important message she envokes though, is the empowering part. Without that, it has no power. The people are the only ones who can bring about a restoration of American exceptionalism by voting in like minded individuals, and holding them accountable. We are the employer. As she said Saturday, "who" we choose from the local level on up now, and into the future, as it is always true in a republic, determines our course. It always has. The cronyism is a huge road block to the peoples will. It must be slain, but it can only be slain if we vote, and hold those accountable to the purpose. Voting one conscience is not voting with one's pocket book. It's voting with principle over everything else, being consistant, but not over zealot.

Why I was only pointing out what I wouldn't say. For instance I won't say that you should go to hell. I am better than that.

Outstanding speech! Another grand slam by Sarah Palin! And this after running a marathon! She is going to enter the race with this great message and she'll take this message to Pennsylvania Avenue! She's the real, deal folks and what we need at this time.
Time tested truths to save our nation is in order, but we need bold leadership to push this relentless reform against the political Establishment hordes that are wedded to the status quo. If we want to save our country, fight for country, then we must stand with the Tea Party and a leader whose willing to carry their mantle in 2012 (as she did in 2010). Palin 2012, Accept No Substitutes!
Palin/West! Would beat obaMAO/Biden and Perry/Romney at the same time. The democRATs and re-re-re-re-re-republican'Ts have shot themselves in the foot. Time to purge OUR government of this ruling political class.
She's solidifying and expanding her base. Wow Wow Wow...she is the first true reformer I have seen in the presidential race. I love this woman.
Scoop, thanks for all you do. I m issed the speech live but as soon as I could I came here and you didn't let me down; you are always the first with the videos. Watching it right now!

I wish! My cable co is not carrying it so I ordered it through Amazon.com -- they will ship 10/4/11 when it is released.
Yes that is one of their ways of being obnoxious. I believe that Palin has already moved on, she does not let these little distractions stand in her way and we shouldn't either, just ignore them and move on.
Not one person will say it was inappropriate? Astonishing. I admit when my candidate Huntsman is wrong. I guess Sarah walks on water too? I support her too but we can't just put a rubber stamp on everything she says can we? If we expect liberals to have higher standards then we should insist on higher standards as well. I don't care if the liberals don't reciprocate. We are better than them and will take the high road.

Are there any video clips of her post-speech? Just wondering if she spent a good deal of time mixing with the crown like she did in Iowa?
"They can mock us, they can call us names, they can make things up, but they can't stop us!" Hoo-ahh!
One: Palin's New Hampshire speech was always going to be a shorter one than her Iowa speech.
Two: Here is what she said: http://www.sarahpac.com/posts/governor-palins-speech-at-the-restoring-america-tea-party-of-america-rally-in-indianola-iowa-video-and-transcript
"Friends, you are better than that. Our country is better than that. We’ve got to unite. We’ve got to stand together. We can confront the problem and we can achieve lasting reform. And I can tell you from hard-earned experience with bumps and bruises along the way, that the road ahead is not easy. You will be demonized. They’ll mock you. They’ll make things up. They’ll tell you to “go to hell.” But we’ll bite our tongue, we’ll keep it classy, and we won’t respond—as tempting as it is—to anyone who just has such disdain for our free market economy and for individual initiative and responsibility. We won’t say, “No, you go to hell.” No, we won’t say that. You know why we don’t have to say that? Because when we have time-tested truth and logic on our side, we win. And when we refuse to retreat because we know that our children’s future is at stake, we win."
I know what she said. It was inappropriate. She cut it all out in her speech today. It was an ill advised ad lib.
