We end up with Romney because we have let this country lapse into complacency for over 50 years. We can NOT turn it around in one election. We will surround Romney with conservatives and slowly change the Republican establishment into Tea Party Conservatives. Third party voters will win the battle of their convictions and lose the war of the election along with our country.

I love how he quotes the great Thomas Jefferson: " We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their creator with certain inalienable rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and Pursuit of Happiness. That to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed. That whenever any form of government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new government, laying its foundation on such principles, and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their safety and happiness."
These immortal words to me is probably the greatest words in this one paragraph ever written by a mortal man. Enough said!
I think CL is wearing a star of David too. That alone sends a message. A Baptist minster making a speech of American unity and strength while wearing a star of David.

Yeah, he needs to be a motivational speaker if we ever have a civil war!! He can get you fired up so you never forget what you are fighting for.....what many people take for granted. I love this guy.....and he's from the NAACP? Unbelievable!!
Agreed. But he speaks with passion, honesty, conviction, truth, and wisdom. Those qualities make him very magnetic.
And this would be a case of a black man telling them the truth, instead of having to trust that a white man is being honest... knocks down a little racism. But you're right, he would indeed be demonized. Sinners and mooches don't like to hear the truth.
The Democrat party and the MSM would demonize him, so I don't know if the black community (or Democrats in general) would give him a fair shake.
He reminds me of Don King....only not so eccentric.
His movie, "Runaway Slave" opens today. It's not showing in my area, so I can't see it. My recommendation to him is to stream it on the web on a pay per view basis. I'd be happy to pay to see it.

Sitting here watching this at my computer terminal and for some reason I felt compelled to STAND UP at the end of his speech. What an amazing speech!
Kind of a silly speech. He spent the first few minutes talking about our armed forces, our founding fathers, God, etc, etc, very few politically-related thoughts, even though our current president's political ideology is the biggest problem facing America today.
"Defending our founding fathers" is not what we need to do now. We need to defend capitalism and attack communism and liberalism. The Constitution isn't what imparted the conservative movement and Reagan and Goldwater's ideas on America. The Constitution just set the framework for governance. Governance under the Constitution can be used to raise taxes or lower taxes, increase spending or decrease spending, all in accordance with the Constitution, based on who occupies office.
Did you listen to all of it?! To call that speech silly is - well - kind of silly.
We all know those issues that you cited. However, CL Bryant' speech was a motivational and spiritual one.

Man! That part about his great grandfather, grandfather, and father protecting our freedoms brought a tear to my eye. That's how I feel. We should all consider ourselves loathe if we let the sacrifices of our forefathers be in vain.

WOW! I knew I loved him when I heard his Tea Party Speeches! Rev. C.L. Bryant is the next Martin Luther King in the making, maybe better? The American People need to watch this important and emotional speech. It is a must see for everyone!
