Having a different opinion taught in school does not deny you the right to teach your children YOUR families personal belief or view point!

The same way that teaching children in school that all people are created equal does not deny the RACIST parents the right to teach their children that they do not believe in racial harmony.

The same way that teaching children that other children are jewish or muslim or Buddhist does not deny CHRISTIAN families the right to teach their children their own beliefs.

Your argument that you are stripped of rights because you have a different OPINION is ridiculous.

If you fear that your beliefs are so weak that hearing that other different types of families exist (same-sex families do in fact exist) will somehow persuade your children to suddenly not believe your religion.... that would be YOUR problem.... the entire world should not be forced to teach your religion in Public Schools.... my GAY tax dollars pay for Public Schools.... send your kid to Christian Private School paid by Christian dollars if you want Christian only doctarine taught in school!

We have to just deal with this, and we will sooner or later. If legalizing it is bad, and not legalizing it is worse, what should be done? More and more Christians every day are coming to terms with the idea and understand that this will be an issue as long as we make it an issue. Let the Christian community do what it's doing, bible reading and everything, and let the Justice system build better laws so we can coexist in peace.

How many Americans have been convinced that allowing “gay marriage” or same-sex unions of any type will not affect their own lives? It most certainly will, and the examples you site in this article are only the tip of the iceberg. The Christian Church would have experienced no greater persecution than what would be unleashed upon it if/when “homosexual marriage” becomes the law of the land.
