I love how he frames his service to that of the veterans he is riding with, and that is that they all served together after 9/11 for one great purpose, to protect this country. You can just tell that he feels a great kinship with these men that he sent into battle.
This is probably what I love most about George W. Bush, that in his retirement he spends much of his time with those who put their lives on the line for this country. And he’s passionate about it.
