I wanna just push it out there again. AUDIT THE FED. This should seriously be a higher priority than people are making it, especially considering that whether they are or are not actually the ones who purposefully engineered this recession…the main point still lies there. They are the central bank that our government for God knows what reason has chosen and as such, they should be held accountable like any other organization…period.

Now do I believe these politicians have actually changed their mind? No way. But I don't care about what their motives are, as long as their survival mechanism tells them they better shape up, I think that's the best we can hope for. The key is for us to stay diligent. We need to constantly teach and pursuade people. It is a never-ending process.

I'm glad you will vote for Ron Paul. If I lived in Texas, I probably would too. We need his voice of reason in Congress.

I also think we should audit the Fed. Like George Washington and Alexander Hamilton I believe in a Central Bank, however, it still needs to be a transparent bank. (Which the Fed is NOT!)

I will say, I disagree that R's and D's are all the same. Let's start with each party's platform. Personally, I agree with just about every point of the Republican Platform, and I disagree with just about every point of the Democrat Platform. Does every Republican politician live up to that Platform? Of course not! And we should work hard to pressure them into complying or vote them out. In addition we should work hard to improve the platform to comply more closely to the constitution.

This is what Primarys are for. To move the party in the direction we want it to go. This is why, as an resident of Arizona, I will NOT vote for McCain in any primary, EVER!

I don't think Ross Perot is a good example for you, because he was much more democratic (notice the small “d”) than I would prefer. In other words, he wanted nationwide townhall meetings, and hotlines, which are great ideas for running companies, not so great for running a constitutional Republic. But I think Perot actually makes my point. While Bush 41 was not my perfect choice, he was FAR better than the great liar, Bill Clinton (which spawned his wife into her own political career).

Allow me to also respond to your point about third parties. Again, I understand the frustration, but there is no such thing as a perfect candidate. Third parties always turn into either ego trips for certain politicians or one issue parties that will never embrace a wide range of people, therefore are doomed. You are right though, it is NOT about the party and the good news for America is the Tea Party Movement is proving that.

Tyler, here are my two bigger points.

First: The major reason America is in the trouble it is in is because we have NOT been taught true history and the principles that make our great nation unique and great. This must change before any real change can take place. This is why I am so grateful for people like Beck, Limbaugh, etc. who are high profile and actually take the time to teach about the consitution, and the miracle that it is.

Second: I believe the Tea Party Movement is proving my point, in that it has moved our entire country to the right quicker and more effectively than any movement in modern history. Every Republican (and quite a few Democrats) want to jump on this bandwagon because they are speaking the principles of limited government and liberty that resonate with each human being who strives for freedom.

So Tyler, you are right. It is not about Republicans and Democrats. But it's not about big money or big exposure either. It is about big ideas. Ideas that changed the world 200 years ago, and if we let them, can change the world again.

Let's face it, she is the face of the modern conservative movement, (our face is prettier than your face Al Gore) and she needs to really take advantage of this opportunity.

In my opinion the reason why Obama (and most politicians) is “overexposed” is because of his message. Reagan once said that he was “The Great Communicator” because he “communicated great things.” As long as Palin and others communicate the optimism of American Liberty, there is little chance for overexposure.

I think to a certain point in politics, less is more. If Sarah made less appearances and was very clear and to the point with what she says, it would benefit her more in the long run. Lately all I have been hearing is the same old talking points and catch phrases.

I am not slamming Palin…I dig her…but I don't know if she really knows what she wants to be yet. She has to figure that out before we can make an honest assessment of who she really is.

I also give Sarah Palin a pass for stumping for McCain. I live in AZ, I HATE John McCain because “The Maverick” is a big government liberal (a former Democrat from Iowa) who has sold out our constitution too many times. However, He did give Sarah Palin her shot at national politics and I think it would be a little “catty” for Palin to not pay back the Senator.
