In an interview with Glenn Beck this morning, Congressman Joe Walsh said that the International Israel Allied Caucus Foundation (IIACF) was going to sponsor a fact-finding mission to Israel for congressmen who wanted to go, setting up meetings with Israeli officials and also joining Beck at his Restoring Courage event. But apparently Boehner’s office didn’t approve the trip noting that Beck’s portion of the trip had the appearance of a political event, that there wasn’t enough meeting time built into the schedule and that the IIACF was a lobbying group. On the last portion Walsh countered that the IIACF is certainly not a lobbying group, but rather a 501(c)(3) charity.

And I think anyone that listens to Beck knows that the Restoring Courage event is not political per se, but rather a show of support for Israel and the truth in a time when so many who stand against Israel are spreading lies and propaganda to vilify Israel. As he often says, everything is upside down.

But Walsh isn’t the only one being denied, as Beck noted that he’s been hearing for two weeks that other congressmen were being denied, after first being told that if they got private funding they could attend, but then being denied afterwards anyway. Beck read a portion of a letter that he had gotten that stated:

The Glenn Beck event is not something the congressmen should attend in office capacity based on the conflict of interest for him as a member.

Beck says he doesn’t know what the conflict of interest is and nor does Walsh, who said that to him it was just another way to continue the purpose of the trip that was a fact-finding mission.

After the interview Beck slammed the Speaker for not allowing the congressmen to attend the event, suggesting that Boehner was playing politics and was getting back at those who didn’t vote for the Boehner debt ceiling plan:

Here’s the interview with Congressman Walsh that came directly before the above monologue:

He should have gone anyway. The entire Congress, as had formerly under the days of Hamilton Fish, should fully support the entire Israel sovereignty over all the lands West of the River Jordan and the expulsion of all Arabs/Muslims re: so-called "Palestinians"; that are an invention of corrupt Theo-political and sociopolitical schema. Since the last attacks, and all the other attacks, stemming from the Egyptian Sinai I'd contest that it is time for the Israelis to also take back the Sinai; annex it in perpetuity, de-Islamize it (getting rid of its so-called "Palestinian" population) and absorb it into a united Jewish State of Israel. These "Palestinians" have over 20, once non-Arab, lands or over 50, once non-Islamic, lands to choose.

There are NO "Palestinians" and since the days of Nixon most Presidents haven't been pro-Israel. Today, it appears that the Anglo-American Establishment has lead American foreign policy to embrace the formulation of an Islamic Caliphate under this "elitist" leadership replacing the old British - or "Rhodes" - Imperialist schema having an Arabian; Arabic speaking block under British "protectorate".

It is clear that America under its Anglo-American Establishment (or American-European "Elite" Globalists) have partnered with the Communist/Socialist "politburo" under those like Gorbachev, Putin or Hu Jintao and others to do their "globe trotting" "Arab Spring" inventing schema in attempt to compose and Islamic Caliphate run similar to the European Union only under their "Elitist"-Communist control...

This "Soros-esque" plan will fail. One cannot control Communism as one cannot control or trust Islam.

Keep up the good work Mr. Beck. Might you consider doing an entire episode exposing the immense fraud of a "Palestinian" people? There are none mentioned in the cultural, military or political writings of the ancient near-East. There are none mentioned in The Bible; Old or New. There are none mentioned in the Qur'an. All this tells me that A. The Philistine has nothing to do with today's so-called "Palestinian" Arabian fabrication and Moses, Jesus and Muhammad didn't know any either.

As any Christian - and the Jew: Judean himself should know - the real "Palaestinians" (if any ever could be considered in the first place) have been displayed since 82AD on the Via Sacra in Rome carved in stone on the Arch of Titus for all to see...

Would he be more accommodating if the trip were to a Muslim country instead of Israel? I wonder if the Muslim Occupant of the Oval Office said something to the Speaker of the House Boehner in the effect that the Muslims would be offended, and it would look bad, since Obama always sides with the Muslims.

Remember Boehner went golfing with Barack Hussein Obama, could they be becoming chum buddies?

Perhaps all the congressmen and women should let their spouses go and take notes for them and lots of photos and use that to shame majority leader, I wonder if any democrats are going ? senators perhaps. what about Jewish members of congress and the senate they may have a relitive or friend to visit. then take in the event as a side note.

These congressmen and women can defy Boehner and go to the event. But the next time they have a bill they want to introduce, it will be accepted by Boehner's staff, then slid in the "Pending Business" box, never to be seen again. Or, maybe some junior congressmen wants to be assigned to some influential committee, Boehner can say, "No, we already have enough committee members, but thanks so much for asking." And these are only two examples...there are MANY more. And it's all legal. That's why they say the Speaker of The House is a powerful office.

I hope some brave Reps, Senators, Pubs, who love Israel and know it is our ally, will simply pay for their trip and go to support Israel. Boehner should have said, using taxpayer's monies was a bad idea in his commentary. But as usual, so many Pubs are very poor at communication. On Politico today, 3-5 articles showed why supposed Pubs do not like West, Santor, Perry, Michelle because 'they throw darts' and those comments were from Pubs! Yikes. Time for Pubs to come out full force against every Dem and Obama and not be ashamed of it and not be ashamed of supporting our friends. The hell with the MSM and Obama. Both are going there when they assume room temperature. Now that is a dart!!!

He cannot deny them to take the trip on their own dime, but he can stop them from doing it on the taxpayers dime.............So Congressmen you decide is it worthy of your time to foot the bill yourselves? If not guess its more about politics than you want to admit.............

Jaynie,

If that was the end of the line on spending our money I would agree. But if we can hand it out to illegal aliens to come in our country, surly we can spend a little to help our true friends.

After all, most of those illegal aliens can't even speak our language. And OUR government supports them? Gimma a break.... please.

It would depend if the call back was for congressional reasons or simply him trying to be their "boss".

The latter? I'd say Allen West would tell him sorry, I'll come in when WE get back.

I am a registered Republican and I am so mad at Boehner. If he is going to act like president obama, meaning an anti-semite, he should do us all a favor and step down. Take the gavel out of his hands. Of course that won't happen. Once these power hungery politicians get in charge they think they are God!! NEWS FLASH!!!THEY ARE NOT!!! Glenn is absolutely correct! THIS IS JUST PLAIN POLITICS AND NOTHING MORE!! But as I said it does come across as anti-semitic also! I think it would be IN MY BEST INTEREST to change to the INDEPENDENT PARTY!! AND SO I SHALL!! Thanks Boehner. You just cost the Republican Party a member!!HAPPY!! I bet obama will be!!!!!!!!!!

Joe Walsh and the other Congressmen should just defy Boehner...and go to Israel.

And also go to Glenn's event, if they want to.

What could Boehner do about it?

He can't stop them from going...he doesn't have that sort of power.

Other people defy Boehner.

And he just caves.

These Congressmen would be okay.

I would much rather as a tax payer foot the bill for one of our representatives from government going to our largest Allie in the Middle East as opposed to footing the bill for Presidential vacations (be it Clinton, Bush, or Obama). I understand the need for vacations with it being the most stressful job in the world but I would rather be paying for someone visiting our friends in another country to show our support for that country.

Sam R

That is just absurd Mr Boehner. Why in the world would you stop a congressman from going to visit our friend? Would you have allowed it if it were a trip to one of our enemies?

Actually, they need the support of their official capacity to make being there more effective. I do, however, understand your cynicism albeit misplaced here.

When are these congressmen going to form the "Sack Up" committee and tell Boehner where to stick it? I'm so sick of spineless, limp-wristed little girly-men 'representatives' I could just PUKE! These lace-panty jackwagons don't represent me.

There's no reason (for the denial) other than spiteful, spineless Boehner trying to corral the house.

If that sad-assed weeping Bonehead was here right now, I'd give him something to cry about.

P.S. I stand with Israel.

Boehner has to go! Let's hope the good people in Ohio realize this and take the appropriate action at the polls at their earliest opportunity.

Then let him go as a private citizen and pay for it himself. He can stay in a hostel.

When in 2006/ or 7 Pelosi led a Congressional demunist entourage to Syria when there was a travel restriction there.

The country is being taken over by marxists leninists czars and Boehner is worried about appearances.

Boehner's a weak-kneed RINO anyway, so it's no surprise to me that he'd do this... Just as it was no surprise, to me, that Boehner would turn his back on his Promises to TEA Party supporters and Cave to Obama and the Dem's policy of, Increased Spending, Increased Debt and Increased Government..

I think they want to attend in their capacity as Congressmen as they want to meet with Israeli officials on their fact-finding mission.

Why can't Congressmen tell the Speaker to take a hike? They represent their constituents, not the GOP or the Speaker. If the so-called GOP Leadership is incompetent with their messaging/PR, then they can work on that while others are in Israel.
