The event went off without a hitch as Steven Crowder opened the show with a comedy routine. About 20 minutes later Beck walks out and the show takes on a more serious tone for a while. He talked about where our nation is headed and reminded us of how much life we’ve had as a nation by describing how some of his favorite NY City buildings were constructed and how that signified what we can do as Americans.
That went on for a while until they started the Q&A with Beck. The questions were all preselected by Scott Baker and he asked them on behalf of the audience, both live and via internet stream. The questions were for the most part lame, but there were a couple of highlights I thought were worth blogging.
The first video is basically a message from Beck to Media Matters. The second is a funny clown story from his past.
BTW, if you can’t figure it out, the Tickle Me Elmo doll was given to him on behalf of the Eric Massa interview.
Enjoy!
