This is the mistake the GOP are making. Obama is NOT scaring people...he is warning them. He is and has dropped Border Security, decreased Pentagon funding and applying it to social programs, reducing state funding(states are raising taxes..look at Va. with a GOP Gov. largest in state history) except for their social programs with the condition they expand them and many more regulations to maintain control of the people and to keep businesses in line with the promise to make it worse if they do not comply. Can't Americans see all this? It is right there in front of our noses. If the left would stop being so partisan and consumed with attacking all those that differ from them..they would be able to see the damage their dear leader is inflicting on this beloved country of ours. I wonder if the left has even noticed how much Obama has taken them off the grid? It will probably be too late when they finally wake up. Too late for all of us I am afraid.

Why, Governor Jindal, is Obama insisting that nothing can be cut? Because he doesn't WANT to cut anything. Government under Obama is only allowed to grow and become more expensive, until it collapses under its own bloated weight, like in Greece. We're almost there, gang, and by 2016, whoever gets to become president, they are going to have to face some really hard choices in slashing EVERYTHING in the Federal budget, or simply go broke. It's about time people realize this and support the few people in Congress who are trying to stand up to tax & spend liberals like Obama, Pelosi, and Reid.
Then why did some GOP Govenors say that Congress and the White House need to do something in order to replace the sequester?
Pure political theatre to cover their Treasonous RINO behinds. They are fully onboard the Sequester and Obama's Rockefeller/Rotschild agenda. The repubs agreed during the summer of 2011 Debt ceiling fight, to the sequester.It was shortly after John McCain referred to us Tea Party Conservatives as "Hobbits". They did not have to agree to this with the dems. As a matter of fact, Mitch McConnell it was leaked at the time, wanted to give Obama unilateral control over the budget cuts as part of the deal, than when word leaked out and the Bleep hit the fan, Conservatives voters went ballistic and the repubs and McConnell had to drop that idea. But all the same it ought to tell everyone where the repubs end game is...It is with the democrats. Can you imagine even entertaining the idea of giving a Marxist/islamist like Obama Dictatorial control over the budget cuts? You wouldn't, unless you were entirely comfortable and onboard with Obama. Yet, McConnell wanted to do it.
The Sequester was built on the premise that if the dems didn't agree to cuts with the repubs, that automatic cuts would go into effect, in theory equally both on social programs and Defense. In reality,it was designed specifically to castrate our Defense. That was the goal of both the dems and repubs. The repubs knew the dems would not ever agree to budget cuts with them and should have not ever agreed to the sequester based on those terms...Unless, the repubs were complicit with the dems, which is what they were.
What your seeing from Jindal and the repubs is CYA theatre, now that the "Horse has left the Barn". When Treasonous cuts go into effect gutting our Military, the entire republican party are putting on a little show, to try and make us forget the part they played in this.
Also Jindal you Milquetoast, it isn't that Obama is "Trying to scare the American people". The problem is Obama is trying to DESTROY America!
let the sequester take effect, then when the continuing resolution deadline comes march 27th, let everything the govt does shut down, yeah pay the retirees their social security, pay the military and veterans and make the required payments on the debt, then let everything else shut down until the senate passes a budget and the house agrees with it, attach to it a balanced budget amendment to send to the states.
otherwise, shut it all down. there is no other way the politicians will actually DO anything.
The real question is how will Republicans in Congress react once the sequester takes effect. If the cut in discretionary spending DOES create a meaningful impact on everyday American's lives, then the calls for action to prevent spending cuts will grow too loud to ignore.
What they should be arguing is that the cuts CAN be made - and only cuts, because the tax increase debate was part of the Fiscal Cliff resolved around the new year - if they are structured in a way that departments have discretion how to implement them. The sequester's implementation of across the board indiscriminate cuts are the problem.
We need to see that slowing the growth of Federal spending can be done without dire consequences or brinkmanship. Unfortunately, our Federal government elected officials can not seem to get it done any other way.
"Brinkmanship" is what it's all about. Some call if Kabuki, i.e., THEATRICS... which explains, maybe, why THOSE TWO -0-s are constantly ENTERTAINING America...

We are currently seeing a major push by the White House to get the sequester annulled. It seems that every federal agency is stepping forward and giving dire threats to harm any and all programs the people may like if they don't get their way. It you think about it, it is like a young child throwing a hissy-fit in the grocery store if we won't buy him the candy he wants. No discussion about the fact that the Feds are getting 12 billion more than they did last year, no discussion about reducing inefficiency or eliminating fraud or redundant programs. Just a temper tantrum because they don't have enough money for what they want. We just gave them an enormous tax increase and raised the debt limit, but no, the children are throwing a fit and demanding more.
Exactly. HISSY FIT is a perfect description for how those guys act, in order to COERCE AMERICA into handing over whatever they demand.

Not only raise the taxes but if you followed this Legislative Session it was total Leftist all the way: pro-Agenda 21, pro-Obumacare, pro-EPA, and 3 times the increased taxes McDonnell asked for, and that's just for starters. Many more really bad stuff passed through in this Session. In my opinion much worse than the D's ever did to we the people of VA. So much for R's controlling our State...disgusting!

I left MD for VA, only to have the liberal Democrat McDonnell raise taxes today. I guess we have to move again. If this guy, McDonnell ever runs for Federal office, don't vote for him, he's a fraud.
Why is it in our lives we have to face up to it..but in theirs they do not..??? Sometimes you have to laugh to keep from crying..
