I'm cautiously optimistic for the first time in over three years and I thank Romney for that. He chose Paul Ryan and that speaks volumes.
i really wish we could put this whole 6 minute clip of Ryan pounding Obama at the healthcare summit into an ad... but i'm sure there are several segments here they should definately use. i'm excited now. Ryan was my first choice for VP.

By picking Paul Ryan, the Chairman of the House Budget Committee, Mitt Romney has cornered the market on the most important issue facing Americans today, the economic health of our nation and made it quite clear that he is willing to provide our economy with more than just lip service.
They make a good team. I believe they compliment one another. They also seem to like each other. Ryan's budget represents the fiscal responsibility we need. He's an attack dog on government spending. I think the combination of the two of them will present a unified front against an ever expanding national government. I did want a Military man on the ticket, but I will mention it no more. This is our team and we have to support them 110% from this day forward. Toward that end, we have to give them both the House and the Senate come November, so they can actually get something done.

One of the good things his candidacy will unavoidably cause during the runup to the election is a repetitive, relatively thorough, and sharp focus by an unwilling left-leaning media on the fact that the Senate has refused, contrary to law, to pass any budget plan at all for well over 3 long years... and Fauxbama's 'plan' was voted down twice by every Democrat, as well as Republican in the Senate!
The media will find it impossible to attempt to villify Ryan over his budget proposal without highlighting these facts over and over again....
It's day one and they are already attacking him for wanting to take away from the old, veterans, and students, give to the rich, and his love for the atheist, Ayn Rand, Isn't one of their goals to take God out of everything why would this be a bad thing..Who has given anything to the rich, they are paying for everything>>?? They bring up things I find unbelievable all the time, like the elderly who Obamacare will decide if they are worthy of life, and fair share when he has a brother who lives in a hut..and Romney killing someone who lost their job when many have lost their jobs and insurance under Obama ..Don't get me started on Fast and Furious..

President Obama ignored questions about Mitt Romney’s selection of Paul Ryan as a running mate as he boarded Marine One to leave the White House on Saturday.
According to the White House pool report, the president did not respond to questions shouted as he walked to the helicopter. He did wave to a small crowd nearby gathered for the takeoff.
While the president has yet to comment directly on the selection, Vice President Joe Biden called the Wisconsin lawmaker earlier Saturday to congratulate him on his selection.
a real leader would offer congatulations, but barry is a immature punk.

Paul Ryan was absolutely Reaganesque today... he is clearly able to communicate why conservatism is the only way to save our republic and our economy! He is optimistic, intelligent, and able to inspire Americans to hope for the future of America again! He also the same youth and young family that JFK had that is so appealing and will add vigor and excitement to the campaign. He was a great pick.. I just find myself wishing he was on the top of the ticket!
I'm proud of Romney for keeping his word and picking a true Conservative..I love Paul Ryan and he is already making history with his,"Obama cares more about the next election then the next Generation"..One of the only guys working in Congress trying to save Medicare and Social Security rather then bankrupt it and we need to do a better job of showing the stark contrast between people who care about the elderly and future generations and those who want to feed it a pill or take it to ruin. I'm glad his voice has a platform he deserves it ..Together they look strong..and are for the economy..

They had the announcement by Romney and Ryan's speech in Virginia playing live on our local CBS channel (we don't have cable/dish). I was relieved and pleased Romney chose someone with a pro-life, pro-marriage record. I was one who was waiting to learn if Romney would choose someone strong on these issues before I would decide to plan to vote the Romney ticket or not. I am now planning to do so with this Ryan pick.
I love the Ryan pick! I am a proud Miami University graduate, like Mr. Ryan, and share his same values. First and foremost, he is prolife! Then, he fits all the other tests, the most important one, is the test of his character! Let the war of ideas be enjoined in earnest!

I'm not getting it either just yet, but I'm still super pumped, regardless.
There's a feeling in my gut, like a cross between butterflies and bald eagles. The rising of national pride and patriotism once again. I feel as if the surgeons have arrived and are scrubbing up in preparation for their duty in the operating room. I feel like they know where the cancer is, and how to excise it. I feel like they know which medicines to prescribe afterwards to bring further health and healing.
This is very good day. I feel just great. That's really how I feel.
