I first hard of Marcus years ago when his dog was killed by a couple of punks.
Story broke out on one of the mil blogs I check in on from time to time.
There was no mention in it from Perry, just the story itself covered the details his dog was killed in a random act of violence and that he got in his truck and chased the punks down and caught them about the same time a couple of Texas Rangers showed up on the scene to arrest them.
Marcus told them the were lucky he wasnt going to kill them and he was going to let the rangers handle them.
The punks mocked him and Marcus told the rangers to let the idiots know who he was.
Everyone should read that story if they didnt know about it.

I found out only in the last month or so that the first Person that Marcus had called before he got in his truck was Rick Perry and Perry is why the Texas Rangers showed up. He called the rangers to catch them.

“In America is ALSO freedom AFTER speech.In America the free flow of ideas allows an honorable man like Marcus to express his public support for Gov. Rick Perry, a personal friend, for President, with the possibility (… maybe not) that he agrees with Perry’s border and illegal alien position, and at the same time, another honorable man and personal friend, Glenn Beck, expresses his disagreement with Perry’s border and illegal alien position.
So, after Beck expresses his public support for Michelle Bachmann for President… everybody is still friends.
THAT is what America is all about… what a country.

How a presidential candidate feels about the military is very important to me. I also care about their personal and moral integrity. The fact that a wounded warrior would personally know the governor of his state and be able to call him his friend speaks volumes.
