I love this question from the Washington Times, asking Harry Reid how his refusal to create a budget in almost 1,000 days now will help Obama and his campaign against the so-called ‘do nothing Congress’. Reid’s response is for the most part a complete dodge, but goes on to say that they are going to start working on one soon. He’s not really sure though when they will have a budget.
The truth is they don’t want America to see how much they are spending, especially in election years, which is why they’ve refused to do a budget in the first place.
Reid is then asked about companies in the energy sector that aren’t doing very well, like Solyndra and namely Nevada Geothermal, that are getting taxpayer investment and Reid’s only answer is to say they are doing well, which absolutely isn’t true, and that we need to invest in renewable energy for the sake of energy independence.
What a joke.
