Time to start watching the Judges and their decisions with the criminals with these charges (with direct victims) and other violent offenders. See how they handle these people who are obviously a threat to others in the communities (all of USA). This is where additional attention needs to go -the judicial system to possibly treat or remove threats early on in their criminal careers or the earliest time in their lives that they are caught/attention brought to their "threat status to others". Crimes committed when there are victims should not be easily released back into communities where they are a threat of some sort to another and stiffer (or even upholding their reg sentence w/o early release) sentences as a possible deterrent. Their mental status/state taken into consideration for possibility of another potential victim(s), maybe instead of targeting law abiding (and possibly next victims) and disarming them (easy targets). Maybe jails and prisons should also have each day of rigidly controlled real laborious work and extensive mental therapies and less of a home and more of a detention/reform center. Obviously this is a brain storm and not an extensive look into each point but these types of predators, as other predator/victim like crimes need to be addressed as soon as attention is brought to the individual who needs to be in an environment where they are not a threat to others, if possible, whether controlled "away from free communities" or in a environment where they receive the mental health care they need, without early release, until they are threat free (if such exists) and/or deterred from doing such acts. Maybe these things would produce jobs as well. Also, treating the crime in the justice system and not the attorney (politics). Sorry for the rant...

Have you ever watched the undercover stings they do on TV catching pedophiles? It makes you wonder why they even bother. 8 out of 10 times it's a guy who did his thing before, was in prison and is now out. So the guys they're catching in these stings are for the most part past offenders. They usually tell you in the show how long the guy was in for and how long he's been out.
This is why they have an offenders list on the internet so you can go see if THE GUY THEY LET OUT is living near you. Why are they out amongst us?
I have a solution that will solve the problem. If the guy is a true pedophile (hear me out) I'm not doing a Whoopie. A 21 year old bonking an 18 year old is not a pedophile. There needs to be an appropriate punishment that will deter this kind of behavior taking advantage of a younger person but it isn't being put on a pedophile list for life. Okay on to solving the true pedophile problem.

Just pointing out that an undercover police officer dealing with online pedophiles would not waste his or her time if there hadn't been serious suspicions, perhaps even some accusations. His superiors would also not have allowed this sort of sting to go ahead unless there was reasonable suspicion.
