DAILY CALLER – California Democratic Sen. Dianne Feinstein staged a dramatic press conference Thursday on Capitol Hill with 10 weapons at her side and unveiled legislation instituting a government ban on more than 150 types of firearms, including rifles, pistols and shotguns.

Flanked by other anti-gun liberal lawmakers, including New York Sen. Chuck Schumer and Illinois Sen. Dick Durbin, Feinstein announced the introduction of the “Assault Weapons Ban of 2013.”

The legislation being pushed by Feinstein — who has long history of calling for gun bans — would prohibit the sale, transfer, importation and manufacture of certain firearms.

Last I checked the 2nd Amendment wasn't up for debate, We The People make the decisions, not You the politicians who also just happen to be the puppets who serve the international banking cartels.  As a veteran I have taken an oath to defend the Constitution of the United States of America and I shall for so long as I draw breath.

This is the same U.S. Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., said it was currently "legal to hunt humans" with rifles!

even if this does not affect me in one way, there is nothing on that list that i currently own or care to own, however i do see this as a Violation of the 2nd admendment. I see no problems with stoping production of hi cap mags or maybe a few other regulations. I am more concerned with people stockpiling ammo. I think there should be a law against that. it would be a fire and saftey hazzard to stockpile ALOT of ammo...... and if you stockpile ammo you should be required to allow your insurance company know...

just goes to show how out of touch she and the rest are...so if these weapons are banned then they should be banned for law enforcement use as well. homeland security and the umbrella of law enforcement agencies that report to it. cia, fbi and secret service. if a law abiding citizen cant possess these arms then neither should they!!

Im not giving up any rights to any fed that has prorection for themselves. That duck wont fly. She thinks that she is woth more than we are, or our kids. This kind of perposterous law breaking, is what will start the New American Resistance. We should all get together and have plans in place to protect our armed Americans, not liberals.

The Brady Campaign gave zero “stars” (an “F,” essentially) to 31 states and one “star” (a “D”) to nine states base on their precieved level of gun control. The lower the grade the more pro 2nd Amendment the states were. Meanwhile, lawyers gave “F” grades to 24 states and “D” grades to 10 states. But recently, the FBI reported violent crime data for 2011, which showed that the nation’s violent crime rate has declined for 18 of the last 20 years, 49 percent overall, to a 41-year low. The rate of the most serious violent crime—murder—has fallen 52 percent in the last 20 years, to a 48-year low. Here’s another one: Both groups give their best grades (“A-” from the lawyers, 4 “stars” from Brady) to California. But California’s murder rate is higher than the rates of 30 states, and 73 percent higher than the average rate of those states. On top of that, 20 of those 30 states got an “F” or “D” from the lawyers, and 24 got a “0” or “1” from Brady. Brady even gave zero stars—an “F”—to the six states that have the lowest murder rates, which is about on par with its grades in previous years.

And here’s one more: The lawyers say there are 10 states that have the “strongest” gun laws and 10 that have the “weakest.” But guess what: The average murder rate of the states with those “strong” gun control laws is 2.2 times higher than the average rate of the other states. We understand why the anti-gunners are frustrated, of course. Over the last 20 years, many gun control laws have been eliminated or relaxed at the federal, state and local levels. Americans keep buying several million guns a year, including the guns that anti-gunners most loathe: semi-automatic self-defense handguns and rifles like the AR-15. And the number of Right-to-Carry states has risen to an all-time high of 41. Gun Control - it only works in the minds of Liberals.

"All AR types". There goes my Armalite AR-7 .22 cal Air Force survival (hunting) rifle.

By the way, 'AR' is short for Armalite Rifle, NOT 'Assault Rifle' but I wouldn't expect this Twit to know that.

My standard answer for all of liberal scum bags when they ask, "why do you need an assault weapon?" is, what I need is none of your business! Period.

Gorilla Sales Skyrocket After Latest Gorilla Attack

Statistics show sales of gorillas often spike sharply in the immediate aftermath of a major gorilla attack.

Following the events of last week, in which a crazed western lowland gorilla ruthlessly murdered 21 people in a local shopping plaza after escaping from the San Diego Zoo, sources across the country confirmed Thursday that national gorilla sales have since skyrocketed.

“After seeing yet another deranged gorilla just burst into a public place and start killing people, I decided I need to make sure something like that never happens to me,” said 34-year-old Atlanta resident Nick Keller, shortly after purchasing a 350-pound mountain gorilla from his local gorilla store. “It just gives me peace of mind knowing that if I’m ever in that situation, I won’t have to just watch helplessly as my torso is ripped in half and my face is chewed off. I’ll be able to use my gorilla to defend myself.”

“Law enforcement and animal control can only get there so quickly,” Keller added. “And you never know when you’ll need to use a gorilla to save your life.”

Reports confirmed that gorilla sales have historically risen sharply in the immediate aftermath of a major gorilla attack, most notably after the 2010 tragedy in the small town of Logan, NM, where 14 people, including two 5-year-old children and a 92-year-old woman, were viciously beaten to death by a 12-year-old gorilla who spontaneously attacked patrons of a crowded grocery store.

The latest attack marked the fifth of its kind in the United States within the last six months and has reignited the explosive national debate over gorilla control, with thousands of outraged Americans reportedly demanding that their government representatives act immediately in order to prevent further bloodshed.

“We’ve had to deal with too many gorilla-related tragedies, and we’ve had to bury too many innocent, feces-covered victims,” said Nicole Simmons, president of the Mothers Against Gorillas coalition, who herself lost her 16-year-old son in the infamous Baker High School gorilla rampage of 1997. “It’s time to put an end to this. We need to get gorillas off the streets once and for all. Enough is enough.”

“The answer to this systemic problem is not more gorillas,” Simmons continued, her eyes welling with tears. “The answer is fewer gorillas.”

As evidence, Simmons pointed to a 2011 University of Maryland study, which found that 98 percent of Americans who own a gorilla have never used them for defense against a home invasion. Simmons also cited widely reported studies confirming that people who keep gorillas in the home are 12 times more likely to have their arms torn off, and children in those households are 19 times more likely to be picked up by the legs and bashed repeatedly into the ground.

Furthermore, many gorilla control advocates have reportedly called for statewide limits to the number of gorillas one can purchase and a federal ban on the ownership of silverbacks, referencing as an example the tight gorilla laws in countries such as Japan, England, and Australia, where the annual rate of gorilla crimes is virtually nonexistent.

“There is absolutely no reason—not for hunting, protection, or otherwise—that an ordinary citizen would need to possess a 600-pound silverback,” said Sen. Robert Menendez (D-NJ), one of the most outspoken gorilla control advocates in Congress. “The general public frankly has no business owning apes of this size, and the only people who do are zookeepers who are trained to properly handle them. Otherwise, they are nothing but a threat to society and only serve to perpetuate more violence.”

Opponents to gorilla control legislation, however, appear to be fervent in their defense of their gorilla possession rights. A spokesperson for the powerful yet controversial national gorilla lobby told reporters that a ban on gorillas would not end incidents such as that in San Diego, as those who want the large primates could simply buy them from illegal dealers who smuggle them into the country from the jungles of sub-Saharan Africa.

Many gorilla owners also told sources that the creatures are primarily used for legal hunting purposes and that the overwhelming majority of gorilla enthusiasts are completely responsible with their apes.

“Listen, it’s my God-given right as an American to have the freedom to own a gorilla to protect myself and my family,” said Nashua, NH resident James Harrington, 46, adding that he personally owns 12 different gorillas of various sizes, but keeps them “safely locked away in [his] home.” “And the government has another thing coming if they think they can come into my house and take away my gorillas.”

“What happened in San Diego was horrible, but that doesn’t mean all gorillas are bad,” Harrington added. “In fact, if every person at that mall had a gorilla, then the tragedy probably never would have even happened in the first place.”

At press time, following the increase in national gorilla sales, four isolated gorilla attacks had just been reported across the country, with the overall civilian death toll curren

My list of senators and congressman that need to be removed is about that long, with Obamao at the top of the list.

Two small, insignificant points:

1. Lucas McCain looks down the street with his steely eyes. His jaw is set. He spins his carbine, and holds it at the ready ....

2. Rooster Cogburn, one not shy with words, looks down the slope, and utters .....

In either display, their mindset is clear, and their eye(s) are sharp. The time of 'negotiation' has passed,

Both state the same thought: "Not from ME you WON'T!"

Ms. Feinstein, Druish Princess Thou thinkest Thou art,

'Tis a match thou hath struck,

To fire American Patriots heart!

And in the words of an old rabbi I once knew: "You should live so long!"

"to the last I grapple with thee; from hell's heart I stab at thee; for hate's sake I spit my last breath at thee."

Long Live The Republic!

I'd say this qualifies as "infringement" regarding the 2nd Amendment. Strictly unconstitutional. I'd comment more but I'm on my way to recruit some more members for the NRA.

Power and money! That's all most of these elected traders care about. It's not power to the people anymore, it's power over the people! They want their lifetime seat in Washington, as much of your money they can steal, and the power to run every facet of your life. What you can buy, eat, drink, etc. They ridicule your beliefs, intimidate and finally crush those who they deem troublesome to them and society!

Good luck with all these grand schemes you folks in dc have planned for the peasants! We may be down, but we're not out yet!

Well, it begins. People soon will have to choose between Congress and the Second Amendment. Why do I have this feeling that with most Americans the Second Amendment is going to win out? Let's just hope that this fight doesn't lead to a civil war, which is what the liberals seem to want more and more these days. Either submit to their demands and become a European-style welfare state, or you will be thrown in jail. This is how revolutions begin, gang, and they never end well. I hope this is defeated by Congress before it's too late.

i8Nunya

As scary as all this govt over-reach is, I think the 2A will win out too. I'd love to see every gun owner in America marching up the steps to the People's Houses, with their arsenals, to show them just how serious we are about our right to self-protection. When that happens, Congress can join US or be frog-marched, pants soiled, right outta the Capitol and WH and into their own graves (or prison cells).

We don't need all their laws anyway if everyone just obeyed 3 -- the 10 Commandments, the Golden Rule (the real one), and the Constitution.

America was founded by a group of citizen-soldiers who beat off the entire well-funded, well-organized British Army. We did it before patriots, we can and will do it again!
