As most of you know, Tim Pawlenty dropped out of the race this morning. Herman Cain first weighs in on that with Candy Crowley from CNN, suggesting that he probably incurred a fair amount of debt and that his spending didn’t pay off like he wanted.
When asked about his own 5th place finish, Cain says that he runs his campaign like a business and while they don’t spend more than they bring in, they are still very effective. Given that his name recognition is only at 46% and that his campaign didn’t spend anything on TV and Radio, he’s extremely pleased that he landed in the middle of the pack. In short, he’s gaining momentum and the Cain train isn’t about to get off the tracks.
