Herman Cain went on Laura Ingraham’s show today and the first question she asked was why he said he didn’t know about the settlements earlier but then when speaking to Greta he said he did know. He explained that between the Press Club appearance and the time when he was on Greta, he remembered something about a possible small payout that he had been briefed on and thus noted it on Greta – which is exactly what most of us had thought happened.
Also, regarding the allegations of impropriety with having received campaign money and not paying it back, he says they are doing an investigation to ensure that if something improper did happen, that they amend their FEC filing.
He also noted that yesterday was one of his biggest fundraising days ever. I kinda figured that would happen, considering that most people feel he was unfairly targeted by Politico.
