Antoine Dodson, famous for a news interview that was auto-tuned into the Bed Intruder Song that went viral to the tune of 114 million views, has now renounced homosexuality and wants to live a life pleasing to God and would like to one day have a wife and family.
Obviously renouncing homosexuality is going the opposite direction of the mainstream which is why you won’t see Antoine Dodson heralded by the MSM like Jason Collins as some sort of hero or something. In fact, he will likely find more criticism than support for his decision.
Here’s an interview Dodson did with Huffington Post Live explaining his decision and taking on some of his critics:
Antoine, we here at TRS not only support your decision but we respect it. Anyone seeking please God in this day, especially being in the public spot light, is going to encounter a lot of criticism from the left because most of them don’t believe in God and will just tell you that you are living a lie. But they don’t know what we know, that God is a BIG God, merciful and powerful and will strengthen you in your life to abandon homosexuality. The left likes to use the trite phrase ‘praying the gay away’, just as they did in this interview, but they don’t realize how powerful prayer can be and that God will honor your prayers and help free you from the chains of sin. No doubt it won’t be easy, but then I expect you already know that.
Antoine you have our support, not as some hero, but as a man of courage who is seeking to follow God.
