WHAT? 'Day-O' Harry was a one hit wonder! The Coasters, The Platters, Lil Richard, Chuck Berry, The Dominoes and others I could mention brought 'the races' together in the field of music and NONE OF THEM preached racial divison in the manner Harry Belafonte is still doing to this day.
I slammed O'Reilly hard on this but his producers will never pass my messages along to him to read on the air. ;-)
It's great to hear about talent in your family, most aren't bless with so much music, or the opertunidy to express their talent. Personally each time I try to carry a tune my pets howl, I'm never sure if they're wanting to sing along or out of misuery, pleading for me to stop. My brother tells me I should have gotten my money back for the lessons, but he is just being a good brother. He and my father are blessed with talent, so much, singers, players, and writers, not bragging just humbly thankful for them and others in our family.
One thing Americans need now more than ever is a great new thing,that thing kind of thing, if you get my meaning, like what we saw in the 50 & 60's, 70 & 80's. Americans are capable of so much, and deserve to be happy and able to do all the things that make their lives even more than they could have dreamed.
