In an interview with the NY Times over the weekend Eric Holder decided to play the race card against those who are questioning his motivations:

DAILY CALLER – Attorney General Eric Holder accused his growing chorus of critics of racist motivations in a Sunday interview published in the New York Times. When reached by The Daily Caller Monday morning, the Department of Justice provided no evidence to support the attorney general’s claims.

Holder said some unspecified faction — what he refers to as the “more extreme segment” — is driven to criticize both him and President Barack Obama due to the color of their skin. Holder did not appear to elaborate on who he considered to make up the “more extreme segment.”

This is a way to get at the president because of the way I can be identified with him,” Holder said, according to the Times. “Both due to the nature of our relationship and, you know, the fact that we’re both African-American.

Allen West responded by saying that what Holder said was reprehensible but also showed how weak their ground is:

DAILY CALLER – Florida Republican Rep. Allen West told The Daily Caller on Monday that Attorney General Eric Holder’s use of the race card as a way to attack those who are criticizing him is “reprehensible.”

I think this is absolutely the last card in the deck, and that shows how weak their ground is,” West said in a phone interview. “But, what that means is they want to make white individuals afraid of continuing to put the pressure on Eric Holder because they don’t want to be seen as racist, and that is something that we have got to move beyond.” …

West said Holder can’t logically assign race as a motivation behind the criticisms for his handling of Operation Fast and Furious. “What Fast and Furious has to do with is misleading the Congress and the American people about what you knew about this program, and if you did not know anything about this program, then who’s in charge of the Department of Justice?” West said. “It has nothing to do with your race — it has everything to do with competence, with your character and with your ability to lead the Department of Justice.

West said Holder’s use of race as a way to attack his critics is “the most insidious thing I ever heard.”

Obama and Holder, the only defense is the "race issue." What BS. Thank God for Allen West, maybe some great and smart republican will pick him as his VP to rid of the Obama regime.

He's got nothing else in defense, this was his only choice. It is ridiculous that he still has his job. Allen West has it right, it has everything to do with competence.

Allen West in one of only a few sane voice in a sea of insanity.

Righting Our Consent
Righting Our Consent

The slippery slope of giving one class of people special rights over other classes of people is becoming increasingly apparent with Holder justice basically ignoring the rule of law, made even worse by his being in the position to represent justice in the USA. This man should never have been confirmed and he needs to be impeached. He lies, he is a political hack, and his policies have made a mockery out of the basis for justice in our country...the rule of law.

Justice has become a myth under Holder, we are all held hostage over false charges of racism, due to the leftist controlled liberal media normalizing the politically correct agenda in order to facilitate the progressive ideology at the expense of truth, justice and the American way.

Between Fast & Furious, the voter intimidation case not prosecuted, and all the rest of the shenanigans, there is no legitimate reason this man should still hold this critical position in OUR government.

This is the next Ronald Reagan. As somebody who lived under the Reagan presidency I can say with confidence: nobody else comes close.

I hope this man decides to run. Gingrich is gone and people are flocking to Crazy Uncle Ron Paul. This would be a disaster.

If this isn't a critical time when his country needs him then what is?

Just do what I do. When someone calls you a racist, just say, "So what? Where do we go from here?" Usually throws them off-guard.

Allen West is one of the most confusing men in Congress. On one hand, he has an iron fist when dealing with people who use race cards and fear mongering to push a socialist agenda, not to mention the fact that he calls Islam what it is, our enemy. Then he turns around and votes for weak or destructive fiscal bills that are completely opposite to the smaller, constitutional government that he ran on.

I honestly believe that he's a good man, but he's definately NOT going to help save this nation from its own bad habits.

It heartens me to see Col. West take another position on which we agree. I have a great respect for him, despite not always agreeing with him. He would make a fine addition to the Executive branch in one of many capacities.

Sometimes the race card can be valid, but mostly it is desperation.

The "race card" is never valid, and it is always played in desperation.

I can't recall a time the race-card was played and I thought it was a valid point.

“I think this is absolutely the last card in the deck, and that shows how weak their ground is,” Excellent point Rep. West!

I wasn't aware that treason, criminality and stupidity was a race issue. Silly me. But then again, I volunteer to keep the heat turned up. After all, everyone knows what a racist I am, and I could care less about being called one.

98% of what Stedman Holder does is racially motivated , so any accusation leveled against him can only be racially motivated . This is the same exact tactic the Left uses for everything , accuse your opponent of what you're doing or have done .

Let's not forget what J. Christian Adams said about the item Stedman carries in his wallet about being black above all else .
