The last deficit that Bush had under his control was $180 Billion. Comrades Peloski and Reidski came in after that and created apocalyptic ‘budgets’ stocked with Christmas ornaments and forced Bush to sign them or Democrats would withhold war funding at critical periods, which they tried to do. Bush was successfully blamed for all of it.

The idea that the federal debt is a myth is not exactly new. “Myth” isn’t really the correct term, but there are a lot of people who argue that the federal debt only exists on paper and really isn’t “owed” to anybody or anything.
I’ve never been able to follow it, but I’ve read a lot from advocates of this position and they make it sound real good. It’s way too complicated for me, but I suspect Hare is probably barking up that tree but doesn’t know anything about, either.

They’ve got nothing to lose. Politicians may coma and go, but ideology lives on. They are counting on wearing down the American people. They’ve waited over 100 years for this chance, they’re not going to let it go without a huge fight. A cornered rat is the most dangerous.
