Hope for change? State-by-state Gallup numbers point to Obama defeat

I wouldn’t put much stock in the predictive value of this map, with nine full months to go before Election Day and the GOP still in the midst of a depressingly ugly primary battle that appears likely to result in a weak, non-conservative nominee.

But having said that, this map is fun to look at. It shows just how vulnerable Obama is in the general election, regardless of who the GOP nominee is. The red states on the map are where Obama’s approval rating is currently underwater; the blue states are where Obama still (inexplicably) enjoys a net positive approval rating.
