It is extremely disappointing to find out so many Black icons have turned out to be racist. Cosby is but one among so many.
It is also disappointing to find out how many really don't want true equality or don't know what it means or entails.

I think we're seeing the beginning of early onset dementia--for Bill Cosby, and in a non-medical sense for Soledad O'Brien.

I haven't heard the clip, but I'm pretty sure this is not the first time Mr Cosby has played the race card since this president has taken office.
It's sad.
I actually just got done a week ago watching the entire Cosby Show series from Pilot to finally. Me and my wife were amazed at the conservative, positive messages that were in this show. So many points that countered the standard, disgusting rehtoric of the left, bashing this country and it's founders.
I'm wondering if he didn't just get beat down by the same people who put down any black who dares to be critical of the black community. Now he's lost his will, and has decided it's easier to be on the other side.
I'm very sad and disappointed.

Mark, like all parental abuse, the child will eventually become the abuser and adopt the role because they were taught it brings power to deal with fear.
Not surprised by Cosby, but I was surprised that Levin endorses homosexuality as part of the diversity that makes America great. (Toward the end of the clip starting just before the 8 minute mark).
Didn't have time to watch but if your right it looks like even Levin isn't entirely free from liberal brainwashing. Militant homosexuals are such a minority in this country why even acknowledge their existence except to fight the agenda they're trying to force on everyone.

Here's a question for you: would you rather have a traditional White family who are social Marxists, flaming liberals, e.g. rabid supporters of Barack Astinksky Obama, or...a Black family like that of Allen West, staunch Conservatives, strong Christians, who comport themselves with class and dignity, or a gay couple, also very conservative, don't believe in gay marriage, very reserved, respectful, and just nice people.
Choose and exclude each of the above. For me, I exclude the Marxist family, and would much rather have either of the other two.
Isn't it time for the left to start realizing that our problem with Obummer has nothing to do with his skin. It has to do with his policies and his lack of regard for the constitution. As a former liberal and democrat I am very disappointed, I thought they were more sophisticated than that. I guess all the people with intelligence left, when I did, during the Clinton years.
"I Spy" was a great show. Bill Cosby was great in that show. Obviously he's gotten old and senility is setting in.
Even though Cosby was speaking out against the Black communities lack of parenting and fixing some problems themselves in his heart of hearts this is how he's always felt. The same with Colin Powell. They've shown now how they felt all along. Blacks and Whites alike have been conditioned by the left to believe every false grievance told at present time about Blacks in this country. This is why PBS runs constant shows about racism in the South and about the 60's. They want to continue the grievances of the past so Blacks will continue being and voting Democrat. Without past grievances to dwell on liberals would have no support because their policies coming forward have done nothing but harm Blacks.
People are so tired of this crap. These people are destroying the very issue they cry about all the time. They cry racist relentlessly. People have heard enough of it. When a black person is really the victim of racism no one will believe it or take it seriously. When you call whites racist all the time its not only racist to say that without proof you are actually stereotyping white people also.
Who is Bill Cosby? Has he read and understand the Constitution? Was he speaking of Chavez or Obama? Does he know which country he is residing? Would he prefer living in Iran, Cuba, or China?
To think everything is about race is to be racist.
Does Bill Cosby think black politicians should be approved whatever they want to do because they are black?
Does Bill Cosby think no black person should be arrested for murder, for breaking laws or for drugs because they are black?
Does Bill Cosby think black students should be given an extra 10 points on every test and always get scholarships because they are black?
If so, Cosby is racist.
We desperatetely need to continually stand up for this great Republic or lose it to the depraved.
I don't hate to say it. The problem is I can't say it. I woulld get flagged for calling the intellectual dullard what he is.

Bill Cosby voted "Race Over Reason" like many minorities. Ironic the people that tell others that they should not judge a person or group by their race yet that's just what they did in voting for obama- hypocrites.
I remember seeing, with my own eyes, signs like this: Whites only, Colored balcony, (for movie houses. I'm only 65+ years old, but, in my lifetime, I witnessed signs like these in N. Carolina while visiting my grandparents. It was the mid to late 50's and we went on a vacation to see my grandmother. I was walking around town, just looking when I happened on the 2 signs I stated above. Now growing up in NJ, seeing a sign like that was disturbing. I read about segregation in school, but never saw it in person.
I remember something that happened during that vacation, a lesson that I still consider to this day. An old black man, driving an older pickup truck, stalled right in front of my granddad's house in Smithfield NC. Well, this old gentleman got out of his truck and was looking under the hood to see if he could do something. My uncle, who went with us, was a master auto mechanic. After a few minutes watching the old man try to start his truck, with no luck, my uncle and dad went over and took a look. Well, to make a long story short, my uncle got the truck started for him. The old man was relieved and thanked my uncle, got in his truck and drove away. The next morning, we were sitting on the porch and we see the same old man stop in front of the house, again. This time, he had the entire bed of his truck filled with fresh vegetables and fruit, which he proceeded to give us as a way of saying thank you. We didn't know it at the time, but the old guy was so afraid to be stuck, in the so-called white section town, after dark, that he just ran away last night. He apologized again and again and said this, " I didn't realize that there are still good men around.", and he then left. Every once and a while I think of that little old man, and how grateful he was. Until I got older and understood, I asked myself how, in this country, in America, a thing like the signs, the old man could happen.
If the head of the Department of Justice were white and called whites "my people" - he would be called a racist.
If a white President told a black police officer that he "acted stupidly" in arresting a white man - he would be called a racist.
If a group of white Congressmen put together a Congressional White Caucus - they would be called racists.
If 95% of white people voted for a white man for President "because he was white" - they would be called racists.
If you eat, sleep, dream about, and infer racism in everything you do, you too just might be called a racist. And you don't have to be white, either.
It's high time we dumped the race card and started dealing with the problems we have in this country with open eyes. Racism exists, yes. But it doesn't exist in me simply because I'm white. Stop letting it exist in you, simply because you're not.

Well CNN is fishing pretty low if they have to bring out 84 year old "Family Values" living Jello pudding guy, and Dr Huxtible, Bill Cosby to help prop up the President.
But honestly if you were to look back at some of the postions Cosby took in the past, he probably woudnt have agreed with Obama- in private.
Cosby made public remarks critical of African Americans who put higher priorities on sports, fashion, and "acting hard" than on education, self-respect, and self-improvement, pleading for African-American families to educate their children on the many different aspects of American culture.
Cosby, who holds a doctorate in education, asked that African-American parents teach their children better morals at a younger age.
Cosby admonished apathetic blacks for not assisting or concerning themselves with the individuals who are involved with crime or have counter-productive aspirations. He further described those who acted out as those who “had forgotten the sacrifices of those in the Civil Rights Movement."
In a 2008 interview, Cosby mentioned Atlanta, Georgia; Chicago, Illinois; Detroit, and other major cities where crime was high and young African-American men were being murdered and jailed in disproportionate numbers but at their own hand. Cosby stood his ground against criticism and affirmed that African-American parents were continuing to fail to inculcate standards and good judgement and teach moral behavior, allowing their children to partake in drugs, teenage pregnancy; gangsta rap; vulgarity; thievery, parental alienation;etc.
Above all and failing to live up to the ideals of Frederick Douglass, Martin Luther King, Jr and others.
Hearing Mr. Cosby take this stance was a knife in my heart. I remember him talking about all of the things that you stated and I admired him for taking a stand and encouraging African Americans to care about what is happening in their communities. This current rant from Cosby both saddens and surprises me. He has changed and I truly think it was the murder of his son by a white man that did it. I can understand a parent being bitter over the murder of their child, and I can't imagine, nor would I want to imagine how hard it is to move on after that. It is more than obvious that Mr. Cosby has become a racist as a sad result of that painful loss.
I remember the murder too. I can't imagine the pain or the bitterness of that kind of loss. Im not sure we would be able to go forward in the same manner.
Bill C was such a likable guy- sort of an Art Linkletter. To hear these kind of views are as you say, like a knife in the heart.
I'm disappointed with Cosby and lost all respect for him. Guess he forgot which side (dems) was the party of segregation and which side (repubs) ended it.
Cosby is part of the Harry Belefonte, Danny Glover crowd. They are nothing but a group of has beens that will use anything they can to stay relevant. Too bad that there are a great number of people who beieve every filthy thing that comes out of their dirty racist mouths.

Cosby is a disappointment. I thought he had more sense. After all the times it has happened I should be inured to celebrities opening their sewers and spewing inanities.
As far as I am concerned, the true racists are those people who see everything through the prism of skin color and hate. If they dropped it, the whole issue would become nothing more than a memory.
As an AA I can tell you they will never drop it as long as they think (rightly so) that they can get mileage and attention out of it. It should have become a distant memory by now. Thanks to Obama it is now like stuff in a chicken yard. That is why I despise this man. He is a destroyer of the country and its principles.

Bill Cosby speaks to the "War" certain people have waged against President Obama since the first day he took office and their effort to have him fail instead of helping him help our country recover from the worst economic shock (2008) since the Depression.
When I want to hear the hair-brained opinions of celebrities, I'll let you know. Stick with the Jello, Dr. Huxtable.
