Is Newt Gingrich considering a run in 2012?

Sounds like it to me:

After his wrongheaded support of RINO Dede Scozzafava in NY-23, I think we all know that Gingrich does not have the conservative principles and values that this nation needs right now. As a registered member of the Conservative Party in NY, I will not support him.

Quit bashing Newt over Scozzafava! His point was that Outsiders shouldnt dictate to local precincts who their Canidate should be.
Newt is the smartest person we have to run, and I look forward to him being Our next Prez.

Nice spin on Gingrich's reasoning, but I don't buy it. He is an opportunist who used NY's 23rd to get his name in the news and with hopes that his name would add credibility to a candidate who was worse than a RINO.

Andy I agree with the point that outsiders should not dictate who runs for election at the local level. That does not change the fact that Newt is not the man I would vote for, even if he is the candidate for the Republicans. I do not see the backbone and I see to much of GWB in him as well. I would hope in the next two years that someone else will come out of the woods and make a viable challenge to Obama. It is not Romney. It is not Newt and certainly is not Huckabee. Palin???? We will wait and see. If it was her, then I would consider that my vote would not be wasted. On all the others it would be.

If he does run, I am not excited about him as a candidate. Much less so than I was about John McCain. The same way I feel about Huckabee. I just have not seen anyone in the Republican side who looks viable as a 2012 contender.
