I hesitate to make light of such a horrible situation going on for the Christians in Egypt. They need our prayers for strength to stand strong for Christ, and hopefully they will bring a few Islamists into the fold. It’s important to remember that Christ tells us to love our enemies:

“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? And if you greet your brethren only, what do you do more than others? Do not even the tax collectors do so? Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect. -Matthew 5:43-48

This is what separates the Christian from all others. Only with Christ in us can we even begin to do the seemingly impossible things that He asks of us. And I am sure it’s not easy when your life is being threatened to love as Christ calls us.

FOX NEWS – A group of Christian priests from a local Coptic church in Egypt were told to convert to Islam or face death, according to an Arabic news site.

The incident, which comes in the midst of continued persecution and pressure on Egypt’s Christian community, took place this week in the town of Safaga, near the Red Sea, the El Balad site reported.

According to El Balad, the threats are from a new group in Egypt, Jihad al-Kufr, whose name translates to Jihad against non-believers or non-Muslims. The group targets non-Muslims, and reportedly pressures them to convert to Islam.

“It’s not the first time. This is happening every day,” said Adel Guindy, president of Coptic Solidarity and a member of Egypt’s Coptic community who travels between Paris and Cairo. “This one incident caught the attention of the news agencies, but there are worse things happening to the Christians every day in Egypt,” he said.

Christians have felt increasingly at risk since the fall of former President Hosni Mubarak in 2011, which resulted in the rise of President Mohammed Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood movement.

“It has definitely worsened under the revolution. Once the worst part of the society surfaced — the Islamists — the Copts are paying a heavy price. The West doesn’t really feel our pain. It’s a war of attrition,” Guindy said.

See what is happening to the Christians in Egypt, Well Guess What Will Happen to the Christians in the US if "isLame" is not restricted. BTW, Islam Is Not A Religion, It's A Form Of Government which does not allow any other belief!

With Obama in the White House, the only things you SHOULD be sending the Christians in Egypt is luggage. And lots of it. They really need to start thinking about moving out, just like the Jews needed to leave Germany in the late 1930s. Sad how history repeats itself. Same type of religious persecution, only different people and a different religion. Just shows you that times change but that people don't. There is no hope for the Christians in Egypt now that the Muslim Brotherhood and the Salafists are in power. Their days are numbered and if they can, they really do need to leave. If not, well, they will end up just like the Jews did in Germany. And Obama won't lift a finger to help them. Heck, Obama won't even help Israel, so why do you think he'll help the Christians in Egypt? Not a chance of Obama making an issue of this with Morsi.

Voice of the Martyr's is a very reputable organization with high accountability. It would be good to click onto these testimony's and see how Christians in the Middle East and in Communist countries deal with their persecutors, http://www.persecution.com.au/news/ , and if God so leads, support the persecuted church. Years back, being disgusted while watching fights in the church over what the new carpet color would be, I found Voice of the Marty's...

Why are these people not allowed to immigrate here? Is it because they are Christian? Do I need to ask anymore asinine questions?

Please don't act surprised about this. Whoever expected otherwise from the muslim brotherhood arising to power from the arab spring catalyst of the obamessiah has been drinking too much koolaid. To anyone who was payin' attention - it was in big block letters in bold! They weren't trying to hide anything.

"love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven"

We should be praying for our President to be captured for Christ. Can you imagine the change that would take place if Obama rally converted to Christianity instead of just using the name for political benefit? If you experienced conversion, you know how drastic the change can be. Pray for Obama to accept Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior.

Thank You for posting this one Scoop. Each day, more and more assaults on Christians and other "infidels" by muzlms are being reported worldwide. The incidents are increasing proportional to the degree of influence islamist populations have within particular societies. This IS the goal of creeping sharia, to Dominate, Worldwide. There is NO such thing as a moderate muslim !!! A little research will open anyones eyes. If anyone is wondering why B.O. has Not spoken out against such atrocities, the answer is simple. It is against sharia to show contempt for those waging jihad against the infidels....

I've been following stuff like this for months now and what's truly going on against Christians and other Religious minorities is sickening. It's not just the Middle East either. It's happening in so called "Moderate" Muslim countries as Indonesia and Malaysia.

With these kinds of articles I would always link people to http://www.jihadwatch.org

On jihadwatch, you get news about this kind of stuff on almost a daily basis, and you get incredibly informed about the ideology of Islam at the same time. It's hard to go on there every day and see Jihadists and Islamists scoring victories against the West, but you do have to keep yourself exposed to reality, lest you fool yourself into thinking everything's Ok.

Obama the good Christian that he is - Will intervene like he has in the past !

Wait! - What am I saying ?

Slap - Slap

Obama couldn't give a rats A$$ about Coptic Christians

(unless they pay him cash of course)

I despise him!

Both parties in congress share a large portion of blame. THEY are allowing and justifying giving billions in cash as well as military equipment to the Middle East.

Despicable as they are, the Left knows how to demonstrate and show anger, those of us on the Right know how to take it sitting down.

How is it that you're making light of it Scoop? You're right. We are commanded to love our enemies. That doesn't mean to lay down in front of them and let them trample all over us- but praying for them, hoping for them is loving them.

It is very hard to love those who are so devoted to their demonic ideology, and I often forget to pray for them. But hopefully some of them will come to have their own "Damascus Road" experience.

We need to pray for our brothers and sisters, and pray that God can use their circumstances to draw those who are blinded by hate to Jesus.

The Right Scoop

Love surely doesn't mean capitulation. In fact it is in these times that Christ encouraged us to stand strong.

But it is a good reminder of what He compels us to do, to love our enemies. The only way we can love them is if He is loving them through us.

Egypt's day of reckoning is comming:

The burden of Egypt

"Behold, the LORD rideth upon a swift cloud, and shall come into Egypt: and the idols of Egypt shall be moved at his presence, and the heart of Egypt shall melt in the midst of it

I will set Egyptians against Egyptians;

Everyone will fight against his brother,

And everyone against his neighbor,

City against city, kingdom against kingdom.

The spirit of Egypt will fail in its midst;

I will destroy their counsel,

And they will consult the idols and the charmers,

The mediums and the sorcerers.

And the Egyptians I will give

Into the hand of a cruel master,

And a fierce king will rule over them,

Says the Lord, the Lord of hosts.

Isaiah 19 1-4

These are excellent verses. I can send you and in depth study on "Arab States in Prophecy." It was written by Dr. Arnold Fruchtenbaum who is the head of Ariel Ministries. Before Ariel, he was a part of Jew's for Jesus and comes out of Dallas Theological. He is very sound. I can send you that study via PDF if you'd like. I would just need to know where to send it.

Arnold's site is http://www.ariel.org/doctrinal-statement.htm . The study "The Arab States in Prophecy," is only available through purchase. I received the "Arab States" as part of my material pack when I studied Systematic Bibliography under Arnold. I liked the study enough to purchase it pfd and keep it handy on my computer to share. Arnold's ministry for everyone, but in particular, he reaches out to Jewish people and teaches from a Jewish perspective. Anyways, there is the doctrinal statement to Ariel's site, always a good place to start.

Amen 911. I've been reading a whole lot of Isaiah, Psalms, and Ezekiel lately. I've been watching. It's interesting. I've been trying to witness to my sister for years. It wasn't working so well, but then I kind of went about things backwards after 9/11 when she started asking me about Islam because she knew I'd been studying. I started teaching her the prophecies having to do with Israel and the middle eastern countries. I told her for a few years to watch Israel, Egypt, Libya, Syria and Turkey. Now she's perked right up and is asking me more. I keep telling her, "It's all in the Bible sis. God knows what He's doing, and Jesus will be coming back just as it's prophesied as well." So I hope while I hate seeing this, that many will start to come to Christ because of it.

Sorry lol. I get more talkative the more tired I get. Night 911Infidel. Thank you.

I too forget to pray that they would come to know the Lord. For me,like you,I find it very difficult to love these demoniacs. But there is more than one reason to pray for your enemies.I can't recall the passage in scripture at the moment, but when I do I will post it.I remember a scripture that states that when you pray for your enemy, your are heaping burning coals on their heads.Discern for yourself what that means.

Have you ever read or heard of Corrie Ten Boom? I have never forgotten what she talked about in her book, The Hiding Place. She, after the war, gave talks all around the world about her experiences. She lost her father and sister in the Nazi camp and friends and relatives too. One talk she gave, afterwards she was approached by a man she knew well, who told her that he'd accepted Christ as his Savior and asked her to forgive him. He was one of the cruelest guards at the camp she and her sister had been at and she remembered him. She said she didn't have the power to forgive him, even though she knew she must, so she prayed right then for strength. Jesus gave her what she needed and she was able to forgive a man who had murdered and mocked so many of her friends.

I've never forgotten that- and while I don't pray nearly enough for these people, I do once in a while. And have prayed for some very evil people. We know God can change the hardest hearts :-)

I do remember Miss Ten Boom.Very inspirational testimony.Strong in Christ.I agree with you and can say that I too have prayed for some very evil people. For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.With prayer God changes things(hearts)

Justice in Islam means Sharia Law. No one has to remind the Copts in Egypt what that means. It should surprise no one that the Islamists in Eqypt want to push the Dhimni laws back to the forefront on Egyptian life and culture. The reaction of Coptic leaders has been to say: Fine. Then we'll resist at the price of martyrdom. Its pretty hard to turn your cheek when your daughters have been kidnapped, raped and forced to convert to Islam and marry a Muslim. Or to have your services disrupted, your churches burned and your parishioners murdered or run over by APC's in Tahir square. See Sura 9:5 and 9:29 for references. Even the Scripture says that there is a time and a place for war. For the Copts its either fight or flight time cause nobody is helping them.

I met some Egyptians who were Coptic Christians, who fled their country to move here. They are all mechanics. They still have relatives in Egypt and fear they may be killed before they can help them to immigrate. They said they were always living in fear, never knowing when intimidation would change to murder. Their own church was burned to the ground, and people met in homes. It is difficult to hold a job. They send money to relatives, and hope they will continue to receive it. Their every focus is to bring their relatives here asap.

That's the kind of report that Nonie Darwish is putting out as well. She sure knows her stuff. Good for them in comming here. Now if we had a real government we could get the rest of their families here or at least put pressure on Morsi to quit his MB pogrom against them.

I've always thought one of the more idiotic phrases that was coined right after 9/11 was "the religion of peace", referring to Islam. All religions have their extreme or fundamentalist elements. But in the case of Islam, or "radical" Islam, there's quite a case to be made for it being the religion of war, violence and hatred. How else to explain what's going on, not just in Egypt, but all over the world?

pajamakat

Because nobody dares talk about the evils of Islam. Everyone is too afraid that their head will be next. Nobody will touch this, nobody. Religion of peace ? I don't think so.

If Christians were doing these things to muslims, CNN et al would never stop talking about it. The media can claim "enemy within is us"

When have we heard anyone, of any political party complain to the muslim countries about the killing of Christians? Why are we voting for them? Neither of them seem to care.
