Israel Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon talks to CNN about the recent move for Israel to defend itself against rockets fired by terrorists from Gaza. He referred to Israel as ‘reluctant warriors’ saying they’d prefer not to go into Gaza if the can avoid it. Asked what would prompt Israel to engage a ground war, Ayalon said: “If we will see in the next 24 to 36 hours more rockets launched at us, I think that would be the trigger.”

I’d say it looks like based on what Danny Ayalon says and the fact that so many rockets continue to fire from Gaza, we’re headed for a ground war in Gaza. The interesting thing about this (and when I say interesting, I don’t mean in a good way) is how Egypt will respond to ground war in Gaza. Considering Morsi belongs to the Muslim Brotherhood and that Hamas used to be the military wing of the Muslim Brotherhood, let’s hope they decide not to defend Hams.
