Janet Napolitano: The border is really hard to secure, so why even try?

To say that “you’re never going to totally seal the border” is ridiculous. I’d rather have 10 a day get across than 1,000. I’d rather 5% of the oil gushing out of the ocean floor than 100%. Really, once the border is sealed to the best of our abilities, it will severely reduce the number of illegals getting across. After that we can work harder to enforce the laws and penalize employers who hire illegals. We have to make the milk taste bitter so the illegals quit suckling from the tit of America.

So the message that we should all take from this is that the Feds aren’t going to protect the border. Simple as that. I mean, there’s nothing more clear than seeing them abdicate their responsibilities, only then to challenge Arizona who is willing to assume those responsibilities. It’s down right criminal, especially when one considers all of the lives that are put in jeopardy from their unwillingness to protect the border.

I am wondering if this is an impeachable offense, because I am really getting tired of the excuses. Seeing Gov. Brewer so visibly upset and frustrated after meeting with the Feds is really tough. Something has to happen, even if it’s forcing the feds to do something they don’t want to do. Brewer should call the Fed’s bluff and send every resource she has to build the damn fence, federal land be damned. If the feds want to arrest everyone, let them do it. Let the world see our corrupt government imprison it’s own people for trying to protect themselves, doing a job the Feds won’t do.

I’m sick of this.

“It’s a big border. It’s 1,960 miles across that Southwest border. It’s some of the roughest, toughest geographical terrain in the world across that border. And so, the notion that you’re going to seal that border somehow is something that anybody who’s been involved in the actual doing of law enforcement–the front office work or the front line work of the law enforcement–would say, ‘You’re never going to totally seal that border.’”
