$310 million to Mexico vs. $135 million to Arizona…
“I am wondering if this is an impeachable offense … .”
Possibly.
High crimes and misdemeanors means whatever the elected House of Representatives want it to mean. An example is Clinton lying under oath.
Even if the Republicans win control of both houses, do they have the fire in the belly to “preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States” from ALL enemies, foreign and domestic?
Even if the House managed to impeach Obama, would the Senate convict?

From Wikipedia…
“In the United States, the oath of office for the President of the United States is specified in the U.S. Constitution (Article II, Section 1):
” 'I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.' “
From Constitution.org…
“The question of impeachment turns on the meaning of the phrase in the Constitution at Art. II Sec. 4, “Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors”.
“I have carefully researched the origin of the phrase “high crimes and misdemeanors” and its meaning to the Framers, and found that the key to understanding it is the word “high”.
“It does not mean “more serious”.
“It refers to those punishable offenses that only apply to high persons, that is, to public officials, those who, because of their official status, are under special obligations that ordinary persons are not under, and which could not be meaningfully applied or justly punished if committed by ordinary persons.”

The attempt to impeach Usurper-In-Chief Obama would be cathartic and help clean out the gunk from the body politik, so to speak.
A political “high” colonic to clean out of the political intestines the residue of the marxist attempt to “transform” America from an “individualist” constitutional republic into an “collectivist” commune democracy.
Just sayin'.

Amen Right Scoop! Well said in your analysis! Let's just build the bloody fence, and call their bluff like Jindal finally did. Let's see if they arrest everyone. I'd love to see them do it.

Art- I'm so glad you brought that up-
I have always believed that those we elect or hire to protect us should be held at a higher standard than 'Joe Blow'. I would really love to know if that was the intent. Too many people are complacent because they, too, are part of the system that benefits from it. That, of course, ties in with everything that has brought our country down. Keep enough people on the dole to take from someone else, be it liberties or money…then there is little incentive to do anything about it since fixing will hurt them, personally, more than leaving it as is.

Maybe they can grab 50% of the TSA crowd and put them up against some real terrorists – at least ways till we bring the troops home from Iraq and AF.
Another idea would be to put an ad in Soldier of Fortune – $50K + food and lodging, bring your own gun and let the local sheriff's organize it. It would take the place of the tourist business for hotel and restaurant owners and send the bill to the feds.
Just some ideas.

Instead of a million man march, they need to send a million man militia down there. All employees leave their jobs and stop working until the border security starts happening (the one's that keep working during that time are illegals, by the way).

“It’s a big border. It’s 1,960 miles across that Southwest border. It’s some of the roughest, toughest geographical terrain in the world across that border”. Sounds like a whiny-arsed excuse to me, that country is open terrain, inhospitable to be sure, but easy to defend. If she'd like to see some tough border country to control she need look no further than an area a few hours north of where I live called The Yaak, she'd be grateful that the illegals aren't crossing that border, even the drug runners avoid it,that should tell you something.

Hallelujah! People are talking impeachment! How do we get this ball rolling?

“So the message that we should all take from this is that the Feds aren’t going to protect the border.”
Not much has changed since the Bush years
Hey, I wonder why right-wingers are crying about it now? Hmmmmm

Some of us have been “crying” about it since Daddy Bush, but, to libs like you, who are close-minded and only listen to Ogremann wouldnt know that. Get out of your PJ's, turn off MSLSD, stop reading the Huff-n-Puff post, and step outside, if you had in the past 20years, you would have heard the cries……..
Do you libs know anything other that GW!?!?!
To say that “you’re never going to totally seal the border” is ridiculous. I’d rather have 10 a day get across than 1,000. I’d rather 5% of the oil gushing out of the ocean floor than 100%. Really, once the border is sealed to the best of our abilities, it will severely reduce the number of illegals getting across. After that we can work harder to enforce the laws and penalize employers who hire illegals. We have to make the milk taste bitter so the illegals quit suckling from the tit of America.
So the message that we should all take from this is that the Feds aren’t going to protect the border. Simple as that. I mean, there’s nothing more clear than seeing them abdicate their responsibilities, only then to challenge Arizona who is willing to assume those responsibilities. It’s down right criminal, especially when one considers all of the lives that are put in jeopardy from their unwillingness to protect the border.
I am wondering if this is an impeachable offense, because I am really getting tired of the excuses. Seeing Gov. Brewer so visibly upset and frustrated after meeting with the Feds is really tough. Something has to happen, even if it’s forcing the feds to do something they don’t want to do. Brewer should call the Fed’s bluff and send every resource she has to build the damn fence, federal land be damned. If the feds want to arrest everyone, let them do it. Let the world see our corrupt government imprison it’s own people for trying to protect themselves, doing a job the Feds won’t do.
I’m sick of this.

“It’s a big border. It’s 1,960 miles across that Southwest border. It’s some of the roughest, toughest geographical terrain in the world across that border. And so, the notion that you’re going to seal that border somehow is something that anybody who’s been involved in the actual doing of law enforcement–the front office work or the front line work of the law enforcement–would say, ‘You’re never going to totally seal that border.’”
