What planet has this guy been living on? He needs to decide which “mouth” he is going to speak out of instead of using both at the same time.

“We have turned this economy around.” Really Mr Biden? So that is why I am having such a hard time finding a job, its because the economy is doing so well. Here I thought it was because we were still on our spiral down. My mistake, I guess I just don't have enough smarts to realize that all the business closing their doors and all the people being laid off is the sign of a good economy. What was I thinking? How could I have been so naïve?

Could he get any stupider? Every time he opens his mouth he puts his foot in it…Such an idiot..

We have a running joke here in Montana and we're considering tee shirts with the “recovery at work” sign on it with the caption “They passed a stimulus and all we got were these damned signs”. Think they'd sell?

What a joke! He can't be serious. Is he living in a dream world? Do they ever talk to the everyday people they are making decisions for? I know at least three others (plus myself) that have been out of work over 1+ year. Very few legit leads to go after and theres hundreds still going after those. I know people that have taken courses to change career goals and improve their chances only to find out that those positions dried up as well. I'm going to have to find this imaginary world Biden lives in. This one is begining to ger real scary and he looks much happier than most that I have seen lately.

I'm going to be a bit more combative than I usually try to be on here. Hopefully at least one person will see some measure of value in what I have to say.
Look guys, just because you say something a lot doesn't make it true. I am not an economist. I'm willing to bet that most of you are not economists – and when I say economist, I mean someone that has an advanced degree in the field. I took a few econ courses in college and did well in them – that might be true of some people here, but we're not economists.
Economists, being a diverse bunch, don't all see things the same way, and they don't all agree. But the general consensus has been that the stimulus has been fairly effective and that we'd probably be worse off had it not passed. Hell, a lot of them (Krugman comes to mind but I'm sure that most people here don't trust him – he did win a Nobel prize in the field though) think that it probably should have been a bit bigger and more focused – i.e. closer to a trillion dollars.
Also, how many of you were up in arms when Bush passed his $170,000,000,000 plan? Seriously, I want an honest head count here.

Danny I've been anti big government since I first became politically aware in my early teens. Government has been on a “drunken sailor” spending binge since the opening of the 20th century, with the exceptions of Harding and Coolidge, and continues into the 21st. I really don't care what the letter behind their name. However I am a firm believer in dealing with the here and now. Our current administration along with it's supporters in congress are on an economic kamikaze dive with their spending. In all honesty we all know, even you, that its not going to end well for us if they continue on this course.
