If there’s one thing great I can say about the Republican party, it’s that it made sure this Charlie-Crist-wannabe jerk didn’t get anywhere near the White House:

I think Huntsman is 100% right here. I'm sitting out this election, and I'll vote again when the GOP moves closer towards what Huntsman describes here. Current GOP only acknowledges two factions: extreme social conservatives and neoconservatives. You guys can keep disparaging people like us, but when Romney loses this election, realize it's because you lost people like me and Huntsman.

Republicans don't get mad at Huntsmans! Charlie Crist endorses Obama too they know a winner when they see one. You people should have had Ron Paul!! but the gop screwed him and tried to screw Santorum in Michigan! go look it up! the gop rigged it up for Willard rommey to win now the billiontaire mormon is going lose and lose big! Hell be honest republicans you don't even like rommey! LMAO BTY rommey is at best getting 20% of the hispanic vote and wait a minute!!! 0.0% of the black vote aaahhh too bad Willard their just are enough white angry senior citizens to get you elected! try in 2016 lol the truth kills you people doesn't it? Now watch all the personal attacks with zero facts or debating skills watch! lol

Huntsman realizes the republican party is a complete joke when you have a party that is 89% white and 37% over 65 yrs of age and 14% are between 45 to 65 yrs old that's a party that's dying. Many of the of very people posting comments here are 65 and older. Face it america is changing and the gop is dwelling in the 1950's LMAO the republican party will be gone within the next 20 yrs when these fossils die.

Why say this on CNN jerk-off?? You should just go to the DNC convention and trash our party along with your butt-buddy Charlie Crist.

Huntsman is about as relevant as a pile of dog sh*t. He's sour about something, but no one cares because no one knows who he is.

So, why exactly is this guy a republican? He's been a RINO for as long as I can remember, he only complains about everything his party does, he's quick to turn on anyone in the party who disagrees with him, and he consistently comes off as whiny and insignificant.

THIS LOSER WAS A PHONY FROM THE START. He's only in it for himself. He dropped out and endorsed Romney before anyone else, hoping and praying that Romney would pick him as VP or include him more prominently in the campaign. Thank goodness Romney didn't.

This is one MORMON who even the MORMONS won't take credit for.

I am sure his DAD cringed when he wrote checks for millions to help get him

started in his PREZI bid, and then bails when no voted came in AT ALL !!

MSNBC favored him a lot, DO I REALLY NEED TO SAY MORE?

HE has one daughter who is already an OPERATIVE for the DEMS working for MSNBC (see connection?), just like McCain's kid.

HE is a perfect example of a rich kid (dad's a BILLIONAIRE, but that is cool) who has the newest football on the field and the best one to play with but NOT THE ONLY one.

When his "group of players" gets down 7 touchdowns to the other "TEAM" and little Jonnie wants to change the "rules" or reset the score OR WHINE how it is unfair his team can't score or defend (HUH?).....he just grabs his ball and says if you won't do WHAT HE SAYS, he will just go home.

Funny after he leaves, the "teams" score evenly the rest of the day with one team down ....seven touchdowns....but score never mattered anyway....and the older football was softer to kick and catch....there you go......

Then they go to kid JONESY's house to eat truly AWESOME Mr. Jones Hamburgers (instead of Jon's dad's catered sandwiches), and jump in the little plastic above ground pool and spray hoses, and then lay in the grass and fall asleep. Oh the 1950s-1980s, Mitt's kind of time we know the DEMS don't like so much.

Of couse not, they were not even on the field, just whining about something somewhere.

FUTURE MSNBC HOSTS AND CONTRIBUTERS... know what I mean?

Sounds like JON is like what we have in the WH already, and in back-stabbing, they are truly twins.

Please vote for anybody but Jon...er.....OBOZO folks....our kids playground football games and JONES-burgers are depending on us and we can't fail the kids.

American for AMERICANS in America (no Nope and Chains please)

I knew this guy was slimy. It was obvious he was a RINO, in the worst kind of way. But the slime factor of this dood is off the charts. The Republican Party needs to divest itself from wishy-washy scumbags like him, or they are done. This likely will be the last election that many of us will vote Republican. And we aren't going DimocRAT either!

If anyone wants to correctly evaluate this man, merely consider that, while still employed by Obama, Huntsman began to make active plans to work against his own boss. If a person is perfectly willing to betray the person in authority over him, it speaks volumes of his personal integrity (think: professional adultery or marital infidelity). Huntsman is a pathetic, puny man, and a disgrace to the GOP he dares to lecture; arrogant and unrepentant by their rejection of his gauzy, fluffy philosopy. Yeah, John, the continual widening of the tent has worked great for mainstream Protestant churches hasn't it? The more inclusive they tried to be, the more they ditch their doctrines to be "inclusive", the more they hemorrage members actually looking for truth! Perhaps conservatives actually prefer real, tried-and-tested solutions, to someone who believes in everything (and therefore, nothing). What a piece of work! Has he never considered that the MSM consider him no more than a "useful idiot"?

Kordane

All he gave were generalties. I didn't hear a single ounce of substance in anything he said. CNN should have asked him to give examples and to explain what he means by terms such as "inclusiveness". His interview was nothing more than a metaphorical bucket of slime poured on the Republican party. If anyone actually asked him for specifics, then he would have crashed and burned, as all Liberals do when you ask them.

Jon Huntsmans world view...

Q -

"Why didn't you go to Tampa?"

A -

"Well, let's face it. It's Governor Romney's show, and it oughta be. He earned it and he deserves it.

"His team is there, and they're doing their thing, and that's the way it oughta be.

"I've been to every convention, almost, with the exception of maybe one, since 1984 when I was a Reagan delagate,

and,

I'd have to tell ya, increasingly when you have a party

[... what follows applies exclusively to the Democrat party AND the Obama / Biden regime]

- that lacks inclusiveness,

- that is not focused on real solutions

- and delivering the bread and butter, bottom line issues

- that the American people are looking for,

- that lacks the sense of optimism

- and the big picture strategic thinking about America's role in the world,

all of that is so desperately needed today;

and my comment when asked was,

as soon as my party is,

as I know it will,

- returns to that sense of inclusiveness,

- that big bold confident optimistic message

- about broadening the tent

- and our role in the world,

which has always been a confident role;

[... what follows DEFINITELY applies to the Republican Party and the Romney / Ryan ticket]

- we don't articulate messages based on fear,

- we articulate messages based on opportunity."

Why doesn't he jut leave the party and take Bloomberg and Colin Powell with him. Didn't the Librocrats throw the Blue Dog Democrats under the bus during the last election? How did Arlen do with the Librocrats? The guy works for Obama and still seems to be getting a paycheck.

Mike Lee
Mike Lee

I wonder what makes this guy tick? He was rejected - so he pisses on the party that he was running for the nomination of? Stay classy, Jon. You have to be a special kind of ahole to take being rejected by a group of people as being something terribly wrong with THEM - instead of YOUR message. Seems very left-wingish to me, which is what the GOP smelled on Jon from day 1.

http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2012/08/10/sources-former-gop-candidate-huntsman-to-speak-at-DNC-convention

Why didn't he go to the RNC? Could it be because he had a prior engagement to speak at the DNC?

Huntsman supports same sex civil unions and I guess must also think Obama has real solutions and a better strategy for America's role in the world? There's optimism, Huntsman, which is actually what Romney/Ryan are trying to sell (provided you elect them and Republicans in Congress) and then there is dangerous fantasy. Do you actually think the Democrats are offering optimism, will take their hands off the credit card and become spend thrifts and cut that national debt in half in a second Obama term?

"If there’s one thing great I can say about the Republican party, it’s that it made sure this Charlie-Crist-wannabe jerk didn’t get anywhere near the White House:"

Scoop, About six months ago the USA Today had this software app where you would identify your position and it would identify your policy match with the Republican candidates. Some of the policies were very similar, and I played around with it a bit. But the two guys that always tied for last place or very close in being the bottom two when it came to matching me were Romney and Huntsman. So, I am not so sure we don't have Huntsman in Romney clothes running against Obama.

I am only 34 and relatively new to the political scene as GWB Round 1 was my first vote but I must say there is something I envy of the Libs. (I slapped myself 4 times as it was as painful to type as read!!) You very rarely see libs turn on and eat each other. They march in 1 accord (albeit it a radical socialist accord bent on the destruction of the USA as was founded). Every once in awhile one will stray from the herd and quickly shot in the ass until it returns with the other (i.e. Cory Booker). If the Republicans were more supportive of each other and less destructive amongst their own ranks I feel like our agenda would progress much faster and work to restore the Constitution much m ore quickly for our children's sake! What lib disagreed with Pelosi and had to be smacked down? What lib every tells another "Hold on there that is even to Communist for even me!!" But anytime a patriot such as West, Bachmann, Issa or King rail against the creeping Red into our government and installations they are hammered down so fast on every front that they sadly learn to not speak quite so loudly. This PC watering down of the Republican Party will lead to our destruction if we do not move swiftly to send more to DC who will encourage the voices of constitutionality and conservative values and drown out the Boehner's and the Cantor's and the McLame's! But as F.R. Levin says, we are at the edge of the cliff. We are not speeding towards it, we are already perched on the edge teetering over in Neutral waiting for November. And if we do not work to send Obama, Reid, Pelosi, black lib cowgirl of the House, and Shelia Blackson Lee (come on Texas!!) they will punch the gas in Nov and there is no saving us. We are forever on a downward plunge to Greece and eventually Rome that there is no saving us and we will wish for scenes from The Postman! Destruction stares us in the face and if we fail in November we will have to look in the faces our future generations with shame in our eyes as they wonder how in the world we ruined their bright future forged for them over 225 years ago!! I truly with all my heart feel "Vote or Die!!"

How many other RINO's quietly agree with Obama's favorite butt boy from the GOP?

Art Telles
Art Telles

I agree with EVERY thing Jon Huntsman Jr. said...

EXCEPT...

What Huntsman Jr. said negative about the Republicans and the Romney / Ryan ticket DEFINITELY applies to the Democrats and the Obama / Biden ticket.

AND...

What Huntsman Jr. said positive about the Democrats and the Obama / Biden ticket DEFINITELY applies to the Republicans and the Romney / Ryan ticket.

CONCLUSION...

The LDS church is not a political cookie cutter religion, as Mitt Romeny, Jon Huntsman and Glenn Beck reveal by their political views.

From Wikipedia -

Jon Huntsman's mother is Karen Haight Huntsman, daughter of LDS Church apostle David B. Haight.

His father is billionaire businessman and philanthropist Jon Huntsman, Sr.

Through his father, Huntsman, Jr. is the great-great-great-grandson of early LDS Church leader Parley P. Pratt.

Wow.

Has Obama 'transformed' America or what?

When Jon Huntsman and Charlie 'tan man' Christ and Jeb Bush slap the Romney / Ryan ticket and back slap the Obama / Biden ticket, THAT is transformation, isn't it?

Come on TEA party... go get em'.
